  2. ...I have two V8 shit boxes. You're welcome to shoot either.
  3. Found your problem. :gabe: It will all be worth it. Just a few stumbling blocks. It happens on any build of this caliber. Keep at it. It's a sick ride.
  4. Agreed. I was talking more styling/stance/etc. My bad. Just kinda left that part out.
  5. Buncha grumpy old man noises in here. Smells like putrid, dusty farts, and BenGay. I'm not a fan of the car either, though, but not my money so whatever. I've neer cared for Civics in general regardless of the year or model. At least he matched the underbody's to the skyline in the one pic. lol To the intent of the thread, I really dig the shots. Well done.
  6. I was in Destin last Oct. Not a mask to be seen. lol. Florida DGAF.
  7. I didn't say it doesn't play a part but in a truck I'll take performance over "braps". Just a personal opinion. It's just funny to me anytime someone claims a truck is "better" somehow just because exhaust tone. Sounds like the black cloud coal rollers. "It'z kooler!" Obv the "ricer" thing was a joke...although the road/exhaust noises or whatever they're putting out through the speakers IS ricey to me. It def makes a difference to some and with certain vehicles. I love a great exhaust note. An old cam making a classic muscle car "blap blap blap blap", a good truck tone is nice, lot's of exotics sound amazing, etc, but "I need V8 noises" being the reason to get something that underperforms vs another is humorous. I don't think NOT having V8 noises is an "issue" to folks using their Ecoboosts to actually pull trailers, meat wagons, campers, etc. BUT if someone just wants a truck to have a truck or wants a truck that can do all they need and THEY want a V8 cool. Not my money. Not my truck. Obv a V8 will always SOUND better but it's not the ONLY selling point to me. That's all I meant. I get it. I just also want a truck be able to do truck things and if the twin turbo V6 does those things better that's what I personally would go for. YMMV. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I also may have had a few pours of bourbon by the time I typed that last night. Double ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  8. Martelle had it and thought it was just a sinus infection. His wife had it and had absolutely no symptoms. I do also know someone else that died from it but he also wasn't in perfect health. I've heard lots of things from lots of sources. Not saying you're wrong. Not saying I disagree with anything said. Just saying we're ALL hearing MANY things.
  9. Yes. Correct. That was exactly my point. Thank you. Well, it helps that it tows the most in its class. This. I just don't get the, "I care more about V8 sounds than performance." That's some ricer shit if I've ever heard it. Get an APC CAI and cherry bomb and call it a day. Is "SNDS FST" available for a custom license plate?
  10. Facts to back those claims?
  11. Great project. Gonna be following this one.
  12. My 1978 Chevy. Miss the hell out of that thing.
  13. This. Hell, my POS '78 got a lot of attention and it was far from clean. Folks at gas stations (which I was at often) always talking about how they use to have one or dad or grandpa did, etc.
  14. Same as old heads who had a hard time considering an Ecoboost over their beloved V8 despite the fact that they hauled more, towed more, accelerated better, and got better MPGs than any V8 on the market. I just wish the "F150 Lightning" would be more sportsting in the same vein of the previous Lightnings. Prob something better than that I'm guessing.
  15. Not disagreeing with anything you said but at the start of all this my wife went to Kroger wearing a mask and got absolutely berated by a non-mask wearer. I wasn't there at the time but she came home completely in shock and told me some of the things that she was called. Assholes are assholes. I/we have worn masks. There are times I haven't. If anyone asks me to wear a mask I tend to wear a mask. I don't think it does a damn thing but I also don't give enough fucks about it either way to get into an argument with a stranger over.
  16. Don't let it go. I miss my '78 K10. Wish I would have never sold it.
  17. Long story short the OG unmarked Hemi got rebuilt. The 426 is now a 528. Tim had a minor heart attack a couple months ago but got cleared and made it back to the track for the first time since Sept 2019 and with the new build. Looking forward to a lot more as he gets back in the swing of things. He's also planning on hauling it up from FL for Mopar Nationals. Couple of vids.
  18. I've done some things like that with forging in the past. It's just a lot of work. I get the motivation for a bit then kinda don't want to. Maybe some day.
  19. Not my money on this one. We'll see what happens but with those Edelbrock goodies we're prob gonna just stay this course for now. Being that it's not going be original, though, who knows what will happen in the future. I kinda want to get this one all cleaned up, put together properly, and see what she has. We're thinking 700r4 and undecided on a rear end/gears at this point. Def gonna go Mustang II front end. We know that much. :fuckyeah:
  20. The 350 has landed. So apparently this thing was built before. Aluminum heads, oil pan, cam, etc. Lot of new/upgraded goodies. Just needs rebuilt...again. A little bit of water was found inside apparently and dad found the threads in the block may be FUBAR. Seems like whoever built it before my cousin bought the car effed up putting the heads on. Gonna take our time, send it in for a crack test, and really look the block over. We both think it's solid but want to make sure. Anyway, here's some quickly shot pics with my mobular phone. I would apologize for the quality but I'd be lying if I said I cared.
  21. This is modern lotto/scratch off tickets. Change my mind.
