Good list. I'd toss in some of the water purifying pills. Safe water made quick if need be. Also, another way to start fire. Matches and lighters only last so long and are worthless once wet. EDIT: Here's a list a buddy and myself threw together for a capming trip this fall. We're only allowed to bring things off this list and NOTHING else. • Pack • Clothes • Boots/Shoes • Machete • Guns/Ammo • Flint • Knife • Flashlight • Rope • Sleeping Bag/Bed Roll/Blanket • Canteen • Cook Set • Jerky • Compass • Spade • Large Trash Bags • Fishing Line/Hook We have to be able to carry it for a mile hike back to where we're camping to with no vehicular assistance of any kind. I can't wait.

Advantage to living in the country already. Plenty of squirrel, deer, rabbit, fox, frogs, and misc. other goodies running around just waiting to become dinner. Understandable in the city though.

Live off the land. Our ancestors did it for years. Train and study their ways. You'll be fine.

Take classes. This weekend I took a level 2 Tactical class that teaches clearing houses, hand to hand defense/pistol protection (making sure your pistol stays with you under attack), small arms tactics, etc. Well worth the time and money. Reading is great too but you can't beat instructor training.

For those of you saying, "He screwed up. Suspend him and it'll be fine. People get flustered at work all the time" I say this: I get frustrated multiple times a week with moronic and/or irate customers at the bank. Not once does the thought even cross my mind, "If you don't shut up I'll pull my 9, put 10 rounds in you, and execute your ass." This is someone that is there to serve the public, and do so in a professional manor in every situation. He's a complete fucktard. He and his partner made MULTIPLE mistakes on that stop and yet he blamed everything on the citizen. Sure, the guy should have just told them even though every time he tried to talk they yelled at him, I would have, but once the "threat" was nutralized the conversation should have ended until he cooled down and could act like an adult. Not tell a handcuffed man he wanted to put his Glock against his head. He even goes back to the cruiser and opens the door just so he can further insult and threaten the man. Again I say pathetic.

Aawesome. Thanks for the info guys. Really appreciate it. Right now I'm just gonna keep the 3.9 in there until I get the body and everything done I need to then possibly a swap, so I'm not looking to handle tons of power. I just want it to last.

Anyone have any insight, knowledge, or experience? Mine was shifting funny and now is shot. From what I've found through searching it could be as simple as a TPS (which I tried) or speed sensor and as serious as the whole tranny being shot. Anybody know anything on DIY repair, anywhere to get it rebuilt, or anywhere to get a new one?

Holy VW Bug of a light/laser! lol XD > XDm IMO. It's all about personal comfort though. Both are great systems. It's like the FNPs vs. the FNXs. I really think FN made a mistake changing it up.

": dumb :" Not mad at all. It'd be great for Glock to catch up to Colt, Ruger, Kimber, Para-Ordmance, Sig, Browning, Springfield, Taurs, and S&W. Why would I be mad? I can get a great Ruger 1911 tonight if I want. I'd shoot a Glock 1911 if they made one...then find one equally reliable for 80% of the cost and get it. Again, Glocks are GREAT and I'd trust my life to one. I just don't prefer them and def don't get how most, (see: "not all") Glock owners bash everything else.
