  1. Hope I have a daughter someday... http://www.cheeseslave.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/easy-mac-cheese.jpg
  2. Stupid app on BB won't connect the GPS. Argh.... Thursday should be great. Haven't gotten to ride since Monday. Sucks. Wish I could've gotten out today but 9.5 hour work days with no lunch owns me. So....why is there not a CR Cycling Crew?
  3. Dunno what's for dinner. My wife hasn't started cooking yet. :fuckyeah:
  4. Nice. I need to get into more group rides. I was looking at the roll: site. Looks like they have some good C Class rides weekly. maybe I'll get into those soon.
  5. About 12-15 depending on the terrain. I averaged approx 12.8 tonight. A few hills kicked my butt. Never gone this route before and if I'm being honest with myself and everyone else I'm still very much an amateur. Pelotonia was my first group ride. Broke in that experience with 5,000 other people. LOL. I'd love to ride with others but with my experience and a hybrid I'm not sure I could keep up and I def don't want to hold anyone back.
  6. I'd just like it to track the generals. Specifics aren't really necessary for me. What does Mike have? BlackBerry or iPhone?
  7. He's my hero. We've had some awesome times together...and I don't know if we all could work together or not. He's got to be the funniest guy I know, but oh the stories I have. He was nothing before me, and feel free to tell him that. Hahaha.
  8. If I had the cash I'd be all over it. Trade you Mark's Lexus for it?
  9. Won't interest the majority of you, I know, so feel free to save the "who cares" effort you're dying to put in. Anyway, Pelotonia got me more into biking it seems. When I signed up in Feb. I did it more as a personal challenge. Never thought I'd ride 23 miles straight. Once I did, and with ease, I realized I've been selling myself short. Came home from work tonight and without planning or thinking about it I decided to go for a ride. Ended up getting in just 15.98 miles before the sunset cut my ride short. Here's a few pics I jsut grabbed with my BlackBerry while I was out. Took this one on my road on the way back. The rest are on the way out. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=672&pictureid=5399 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=672&pictureid=5398 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=672&pictureid=5397 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=672&pictureid=5396 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=672&pictureid=5394
  10. Ok, so Pelotonia lit a fire under me. Jsut rode the 23 mile route saturday and tonight when I got home I up and headed out for a ride. Didn't plan too, but I couldn't resist. I'll post a few pics in the pic section. I see now how you guys ride such long distances now. I never thought I'd ride the 23 mile route when i signed up. It was more of a personal challenge. Tonight I rode 15.98 and had to stop due to the sun setting. It's addicting. Can't wait to get up early tomorrow and ride before work. EDIT: This Map My Ride thing, the BlackBerry app has terrible reviews. How well does it work?
  11. All about the lifestyle change. Healthiest way to do it. Healthier intake, more output. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=654&pictureid=5381
  12. That shit was orchestrated.

  15. Bump for some help and a great cause. Back me up CR!
  16. Thanks. That's great advice. You're right. Maybe we should finish it together.
  17. So my grandfather years ago gave my dad his old '52 Chevy pickup. Dad had always planned to restore it and we've gotten it pretty much stripped down but nowhere near finished. He always wanted to restore it for papaw. Now that papaw has passed he's already mentioned twice how it tears him apart he never made the time to finish it for him. Kind of a weird question but CR is always a great resource with great people so I figured I'd start here. We don't really have the money to fully restore it and as corny as it seems I would love nothing more than to go all Overhaulin' on the '52. Anyone know of anyway to accomplish this? Any way to get this thing restored? We really want to honor my grandpa but just don't have the resources to do so and it kills my dad to see the thing just sitting there. Thanks in advance for any help or advice.
  18. http://www.jenscakesandcookies.com Thats my cousin. Tell her Randy sent ya. She can make anything and beat pretty much any price. Delicious too. 21. Thanks all. Means a lot. In searching through his things we found awards and newspaper articles we'd never been told about. This man truly lived for others and not for his own glory. One article told of a time a plane went down and he and one of his men rushed into the flaming nose section and pulled out 800 lbs. of live munitions so they wouldn't detonate and harm the others in the vicinity. He was called to a scene without having time to return to base from church. Left in the family station wagon in the middle of service with not tools and out of uniform. He placed a live warhead in the back of the wagon and proceeded to the range calling on his team to meet him their in full gear b/c he knew if it went nobody would make it. While in an old Jeep in Viet Nam he passed a live round. He got out, inspected, told his inferior to drive while he sat sideways, leg hanging out the side, with the warhead on his lap so if it went off it wasn't as likely to take out his man. So many stories and awards he never asked for, never flaunted, and never boasted even to his family about. What a great American hero and man of God. RIP Chief Master Sgt. Papaw. Mods, feel free to lock it up or let it die. I've said all I can and no more words will do this man justice. Thanks all for letting me share.

    RIP Grandpa

August 13, 2011 the world lost another great Vietnem Era EOD Tech. My grandfather, Senior Chief Master Sgt. William Nelson of the 438th Supply Squadron passed away peacefully. He served 21 years with the USAF then served as a pastor with the Nazarene church for over 30 years. He made E9 In well under 20 years and has more medals and awards than he ever told us we're finding out. He has several letters of thanks from his superiors speaking very highly of him. His spirit lives on in me and when I make it through boot camp in the future I know he'll be there with me. Mere words cannot express what he means to me and how much he inspires me to serve. Love you papaw. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=654&pictureid=5367
