FS: Mushkin 2GB (1GBx2) DDR2 PC2-8500 1066 Dual Channel Kit
Razorback replied to Razorback's topic in Other Stuff
That's actually a different model, but thanks either way. I'll drop it to $50. Thank goodness for cheap RAM nowadays. -
This is what the title of the item was on Newegg when purchased 3 months ago: Mushkin 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model 996578 - Retail Paid $115. If I could get $50 for it I would be happy. I recently upgraded to a 4GB kit, so this has to go. Working perfect when pulled 3 days ago.

Been saying the same thing for quite some time...it'll never happen in this country w/ our government.

Thanks, I do appreciate your good wishes. Hopefully I will have some decent luck with it.

There are always skeptics, and that's okay, I was as well before I signed up. I just signed up recently through a friend at work in my department. He's been doing this for about 6 weeks and now makes enough $ to where he drinks this juice for free. As far as the pyramid scheme, you have to consider that a standard business setup is a pyramid. The executives at the top make all the money, and that is true with this to a certain extent. Anyone can become an executive. I know you said you were already approached to become a distributor. Did you go to an official tasting where they have a presentation first on the drink itself in detail and then on the business side? I went to one a couple weeks ago and I found it very interesting so I signed up and figure I'll do this for 3-6 months and see where it takes me. You can opt out at any time. If you'd like to go to a tasting, let me know so you can view all the information since you've already tried the drink. They only take about an hour and cost nothing with no pressure. You go, taste the drink if you haven't, watch a DVD and some people speak briefly about the product so you can learn as much as possible, and then you leave. No strings attached. From all the really great people I've met so far, it seems you just have to get a few really motivated people under you and you're pretty much set. I've only been to tastings in Lewis Center so far -- apparently there is a Westerville location as well where the home-owner just quit his job as a VP for another company to do this full time as he is making $700k per year doing it -- Fred (my friend at work) has met the gentleman and been to his house. In any case, I'm not trying to convince anybody of anything other than it's an opportunity, and it might be worth checking out which is why I'm checking it out. If it ends up working out for me to where I can even drink the stuff for free, I hope maybe it can help some of you as well.

I'm actually a distributor if you want to place a small order to try it. It is basically a fruit blend drink, with the acai berry being the main ingredient. It has 19 different fruits in it. It's also loaded with anti-oxidants. You take one 1-2 oz drink in the morning and one at night. I've met a number of people who are NOT distributors that have seen improvements with sleeping, headaches, and joint/muscle pain, especially if you drink the Active version of the drink that also has gluc. in it. The biggest deterrent that I've found with people, including myself at first is the price, it's not cheap. One thing I'll say as well as I did a lot of research on this before signing up -- it's not a scam. I'm pretty anti-social and just assume anything anyone tells me is a lie until proven otherwise and so far I've been very impressed. The drink tastes great and I feel great. I've been taking it for about 2 weeks. If there are any questions I can answer for you guys, just let me know. The best thing is that there is absolutely no pressure with the entire thing. If you want to drink it, I can tell you the cheapest way to get it and the easiest -- if you're interested in the business side, I can answer those questions, too. I got interested because it's a good product. If you have friends or family members that aren't in the best of health, it's a great thing to recommend to them. I think of it as preventative health care -- every 1-2 oz drink you take has 5 servings of fruits in it along with antioxidants that help you not get sick. And if any of you are truly interested in learning a lot more than through just a few questions here and there, I will take any of you to a real meeting with 20-40 people where a professional presentation is given on the drink itself and the business side. It's a great side business because you literally don't have to do shit except tell people you know and care about. On Edit: Thorne to answer your question on the acai berry specifically, it's a recently discovered berry in the Amazon jungle that is called a "superfood" because it's loaded with antioxidants and vitamins far beyond what most other fruits/vegetables have. This is why you are seeing it show up in other brands of drinks like V8 (their Fuzion line now has an Acai berry flavor).

Agreed. Worst movie I've seen this year. Acting was good -- the ending was so fucked up that it nullified every good thing about the movie.

Savings. I've heard rumors it may be just an advance on your tax return from next year and since I don't trust the gov't in any form whatsoever, I will put it in the bank.

Ohio Teacher Refuses to Remove Bible From Students' View
Razorback replied to Earl1647545488's topic in Dumpster
He should not have to remove the Bible. He keeps it there because it's his belief. He isn't teaching the students, and for the record I'm Agnostic, so I have no bias whatsoever. If they force him to remove it, he should counter-sue for infringement on his personal rights. -
I'll back you up there. Rob & Don are very top notch fellas. They've helped me out of a bind before when I was down on my luck.

Wow, yeah I went ahead and e-mailed the director of NTR today and he wrote me back pretty quick. I basically said I hadn't been there for about 3 years but would love to bring my Vette out for a few passes every now and then but the 45-60 minute waits for teching and 60-120 minute waits to get one run in really turned me off to the place and I asked if it had improved at all, and he tried to be positive in his response but still pretty much told me they have timed their average run thrus of all cars and it does take 90-120 minutes on average so it sounds like no improvements. I appreciate his honesty, but that's still not gonna get my $$. I think I need to look into getting a trailer for the car and trailering out to MCIR or somewhere else. Any wait over 45 minutes for a run is unacceptable in my very humble opinion. P.S. Thanks for the responses fellas, it is much appreciated.
-
Well I'm glad I asked before just going out. Thanks.
-
I haven't been out there for 3-4 years, but when I went out there in the past you'd wait 1-2 hours to get one pass in which was always a major turn off -- has it improved at all in the last few years? Or are there any better days to go than others?
-
And that is a fact.

I agree, many native-born Americans are lacking in the intelligence department. This is what is irrelevant. We're not all foreigners. I live within 20 miles of where I was born, so a foreigner is one thing I am not. You need to re-think this.
-
I saw that this morning also, and I agree, it is good. Seems more and more rare to see someone standing up for our country and way of life instead of pandering to those of foreigners.
-
Definitely. Wish they were all like that. I was nice to the guy at first, but he wouldn't go away. This has happened at HH Gregg to me before also when I was looking at some entertainment center stuff and the dude kept following me around. I know he wants the sale, but it makes you not even want to be there.
-
I've been there. I'd never buy a car from them. I know what you mean about getting mobbed. Getting in and parking is no problem, but you can't even get out of the car before you have sales people all around you. Last time I went there with an ex girlfriend to look for a Cobra for her I pretty much had to point at the office building and tell the guy to go over there and I'd find him when I wanted him for something. He finally got the hint and left us alone, but damn dude, I would never do business w/ them or recommend them for anything other than a test drive. The only reason to go there is if you are having problems finding something and just want to drive it, because they do have the inventory.
-
The deal is this, you need to look at your monthly income and decide whether or not the car payment is going to effect other areas of your life. If the answer is no, go for it, if the answer is yes, you may need to think about what's more important and prioritize from there.

Ok, how many of you republican fuckers did it?
Razorback replied to Science Abuse's topic in Dumpster
He is mr. illegal immigration advocate that I referenced in the above post (along with Hillary although I didn't reference her there directly since I can point at a number of things with her that will prevent me from voting for her in good conscience). Can't vote for someone who wants me to pay for the health care and education of illegals and then have my wages further stagnated due to their presence. On top of that McCain wants us overseas involved in everyone else's crap until the day we die. I'm not okay with that. We should take care of our people and our borders and our economy. Not support everyone else's. -

Sums it up nicely. Will not vote for Hillary Care, will not vote for mr. illegal immigration advocate. All I can hope is a good independent will run for a change. I don't like a lot of Obama's views, but I would tolerate him over Hillary. I'd still prefer a good Independent though. This is quite sad for our country really -- two presidential elections in a row and we don't have a decent candidate to vote for. -
I assume you mean "suspected" criminals with ties to criminal organizations, etc. not someone who's actually been indicted on something? Assuming that's what you mean, it would depend on the evidence at hand on the person and what they admit to. You can't go just torture innocent people where there's no proof of wrong-doing. Once solid evidence is established though, like a link to Al'Qaeda or a brutal gang, etc., I have no problem at all with existing interrogation methods to include or not include "torture". Hope that answers your question.
-
Same as above -- they wouldn't even torture us, just cut off our heads as they so often like to do and video tape it. I personally think we as a nation are far too lenient on criminals and our enemies in general. To steal a line from a recent movie "criminals thrive on the indulgence of society's understanding" and that is cold, hard, fact. Start putting them to death for something as "simple" as breaking and entering, theft, rape, I bet things would head in a more positive direction. I've also always been a fan of the olden days where executions were a public thing. If they have nothing positive to contribute to society, kill them. Sorry if my harsher views offend anyone.
