  1. I'll be there in my new truck, hope to hit mid to low 15's It has the 6.0L V8 345 HP & 380 TQ, weighs about 5,000lbs exact. http://www.customls1tuning.com/silverado/DSC06815%20(Medium).JPG
  2. Nice looking car! Have fun with it...
  3. I'll take it, want to meet up this weekend? PM me...
  4. All payments need to be in at the VERY LATEST, May 5th, no if's, and's or but's... NO PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE GATE.
  5. Congrats man, wait till they are about 4-6 months and smiling at you, it's priceless. Enjoy! I have another one on the way in July, can't wait. Bill
  6. Keep the Mustang, problem solved... You already know the history of your car, why start over? Keep Mustang, save a few bucks to pay off Avalanche sooner....
  7. Already bought a bottle of Vanilla Syrup, 2 tsp to a 12oz can of regular Coke gets it pretty damn close...
  8. I'd rather not Ebay due to high S&H charges..
  9. Coca Cola stopped making Vanilla Coke at the end of 2005 and its impossible to find. If anyone wants to make some money, I'll pay you twice what it costs, usually for a 12 pack they cost anywhere from $2.99-3.99. If you find some "regular" Vanilla Coke, buy it and I'll pay you twice what you paid for it. Buy within reason amounts if the store has a lot of it. Call me crazy, but I love this stuff.... I just wish I knew they were going to discontinue it... Bill
  10. Nothing like a thread that turned praise into a bashing against certain people. Personally I think/thought this secton was for sponsors, either people introducing new sponsors or current sponsors posting about themselves. Let's get some facts posted here instead of some BS. Let's start with John Linn. When I tuned his car, I did not have to tune the VE table. The reason being, his car mods at the time was a lid, headers, & LT headers, basic bolt ons. There is no reason to tune the VE table since he had very little done to the car. When you use a MAF on GM LS1 cars the VE table is not the only fueling table used, it's only part of it. If you know how the GM LS1 PCM uses a MAF sensor and VE table for fueling, then you would understand. 6 months or so after I tuned John's car, he was unhappy. He said his A/F ratio was either lean or rich, I don't remember. I asked him if he changed anything on the car and he said yes, the MAF sensor. I told him thats the problem, not every MAF sensor is the same. Was I at fault, no, he changed parts, out of my control. As for my personal car head gasket problem, I thought I had a problem before I even got on the dyno, the dyno just verified it. After doing some reasearch and talking to people in the know, I figured that the main reason why my head gasket failed was not due to the tune but due to either, not torquing the new stock heads bolts properly and/or not cleaning the block surface good enough. I wasn't even spraying any N20. My timing was at 27 degrees and my A/F was about 12.5, so how is that a bad tune? If anything, it's on the safe side. Let's talk about John Tilley's car. Yes I tuned it with a safe tune since he was going to be spraying N20. I think I set the timing at 24 or 26 and his N/A A/F about 12.5. Did I adjust the VE table, yes I did, but in the lower RPM ranges. He was still using his MAF sensor. I did ask what timing to set it to since he was spraying N20, I asked because I didn't know how much he was going to spray. On average, people pull out 2 degrees of timing for every 50-75 shot of N20. If a car owner ups the shot size and doesn't recheck the A/F and doesn't pull any timing out, how can I be responsible? Again, out of my control when the car leaves me. Just because I am not in the CR loop, that doesn't mean I don't hear things, I know alot of people and I get calls time to time about some interesting stuff that goes on. Just for the recorded, I heard from two people that don't really know each other, told me that John Tilly's car tune was modified from when I tuned it and that was the reason it got a hole in the piston, I think I was told it had too much timing. All I know, was that they were trying to get more HP out of it for a future race, two different people, same story, hmmmmm. Am I the best LSx tuner around, hell no, but I think I am pretty damn good and have a good track recorded. I have tuned well over 50 LSx cars, all with good results. I feel I have the most experience then anyone else in Central Ohio for LSx PCM tuning. The people that keep bashing me (on and offline) are the same ones, so what does that tell you... As for my credentials: - 2 year degree in Electronic Engineering - I build and test Cell Phone systems for a living at Lucent for the past 9 years - I personally was taught a lot about tuning from Steve Pilic (Steve use to work at GM as a Engine dyno tuner for 8 years and also built Brian and Howards dyno) - Took EFI 101 class - Tuned over 50 LSx cars over the past 3 years - I tune the VE table when needed (lower and upper RPM ranges) - Tuned my own car well over 100 times, trying new things on my car before customer cars Maybe before people talk about certain things, they should get their technical facts straight. Do your research and know what you are talking about before spreading BS info on and offline. Some people might think the VE table is some magical fueling table, it's not, especially is you know how the GM LSx PCMs work. Have a good day. Bill Wright
  11. I too was glad to hear it running. It took a few trys of the key, but finally ran on it's own. Gotta love those 98 PCMs... Once I get my WB on there and tweak the VE table, we should get it running "like stock" within in a few hours. lol
  12. Glad to hear this are going well for you, don't fuck it up... lol See you in a few days....
  13. Yep, I think she looks a lot like Tina. Seriously, they might be cousins, they are both from Michigan. Maybe we will find out more Monday night....

  15. No they don't: http://www.sdpc2000.com/catalog/1981/products/81649/LS6-2002-Z06-204-218-Duration-0050-Hydraulic-Roller-Camshaft.htm It's all about the Preload on the valves Anthony, I'm not bullshitting you, just want you to have the correct parts on your car and to not have an issues down the road.
  16. Good list but you have the wrong pushrods. I think you need 7.450 long pushrods. The base circle on the LS6 is smaller than a stock LS1 cam. Do some research on LS1tech.com or call on of the sponsors on there. Pushrods and Preload are big topics on LS1tech.com these days. Your CR is around 9.5 with your "new" heads. Why the big difference with the fuel pressure? You don't have a boost a pump do ya, if so, get rid of it. Bill
  17. Thanks guys for the nice comments. I have been tuning LS1 cars since Feburary 2003, starting with my own 2001 Camaro SS M6. Over the past 3 years I have tuned over 50 LSX based vehicles (my car probably over 100 times), a few that are on this board. I'm not a shop, just an individual offering affordable tuning to the general public. I feel my prices are very competitive. I use a Sony laptop with 2 batteries and HP Tuners for tuning. I also use a LM-1 Wideband O2 when needed. For those that know me, know that I am a very fair and easy going guy. Some past customers have left their cars with me for a few days so I can work out the cold/hot start issues. Their cars stayed in my garage when it wasn't being worked on, right next to my SS. I have tuned cars from all over the state of Ohio: Columbus, Toledo, Lima, Zanesville, Cleveland, Mansfield, Dayton, and Cincinatti to name a few cities of past customers. I can also do a mail order tune with my bench top harness to get your car up and running, especially if you installed bigger injectors and/or a big cam in your auto. More updates are to come on my website in the coming weeks, including a LS1 Tech section with tips, ideas, & recommended mods. As for MAF vs SD tuning, one is not really easier than the other. Most of the cars that I have tuned had MAFs on them and make awesome power. I've tuned my VE table fully about 3-4 times now and I am using a MAF, my car runs and drives like stock. The one downside to SD tuning is time. To get your VE table SD tuned, it takes many hours of street driving to hit a lot of cells, once you makes the changes, you have to hit the street again to see if your changes are where they should be. Having a loading dyno would be ideal but then your dyno bill goes way up. The last car I SD tuned, (Camaro SS 383 A4) I put about 8-10 hours into it. After the VE was tuned, we decided to go back to using the MAF for smoother tranny shifts around town. Cold and hot starts are fine, no stalling and with spinning tires at the track, last it did was 11.1 at 125MPH. Anthonys 1998 Formula is going to be a great challenge to say the least since he is running boost and you can't have a true extended VE table due to the OS. From the research that we have done, it should work out fine, just got to make sure we adjust all the tables to trick the computer since we are going to use a 2 bar MAP sensor. If you need your LSX engine tuned from mild to wild and want someone that has many years of experience and have tuned dozen and dozen of LSX cars all around Ohio, feel free to send me a email or give me a call. Thanks, Bill Wright
  18. Depends if you know anyone at the dealership or not. I'm friends with the sales manager at the Newark Coughlin Chevy dealership and I get all my Chevy's at invoice and all rebates go to me. If anyone is interested in a VERY similar deal, let me know, and I'll give you more info! Always, Always start at invoice price, if you don't, your a fool at buying new cars. My sales guys tells me $500-800 over invoice is very doable at a lot of dealership as long as the car is not in high demand. Bill
