  1. Sorry to read about your engine. The stock pistons can only handle so much N20 with stock Z06 compression. A pair of twins with a 383 sure would be nice under that hood of yours.
  2. I'll help you yank the engine, give me a few days notice first... I'd go with a slight smaller cam, you don't want to bleed off any boost. How about a 228 232 on a 116lsa.
  3. What engine, what kit, who's installing it, and when/where at? I'd like to see this happen!!! I'm guessing your shooting for 650-700 RWHP? You might want to think about switching over to a 01-02 computer/wire harness
  4. My friend from PA is coming to Columbus for the Mopar Nats and is selling his truck, ad should be in our paper tomorrow. 99 Dodge Dakota R/T Yellow STD Cab, 34K mi, Lthr, Shaker Hood, Chrm Rims, Tonneau, $11,500 Firm http://www.bjsoftware.com/dakotart
  5. I just check the last file that I have and they are 42lb injectors. I highly suggest getting the SVO 42lb green tops, with GM LS1 fuel pressure, they end up being 50lb injectors, more that what he needs and a lot less headaches....
  6. From a tuning stand point, go with the 2001-2002 cars, they have a better computer.
  7. What Joe said, I can do all 98-04 LS1/LS6 cars. I can tune an LT1, but I don't have the software to do it, you'll have to get it. I have done dozens of cars, some even on here... PM me if you need some help. Bill
  8. It's a great running car and pulls very hard. It's time to get it dyno tuned! Are we going to tune it this Saturday? Call me. Bill
  9. Has anyone ever used Angie's List before? Is it worth it? I am thinking about signing up. For those that don't know what it is, it's kinda like the BBB, but better, at least that's what I hear. Bill
  10. I work for Lucent Technologies and I build and test this stuff everyday so you could say I know how this stuff works. TDMA and GSM are the same except for the bandwidth. TDMA is 30khz and GSM is 200khz. Basically GSM is TDMA technology. (Time Division Multiple Access) Sprint and Verizon use the exact same cell phone systems, CDMA. The main difference between the 2 is cell site placement, antenna angles, and software. We are doing UMTS right now. From what the engineers are telling us, UMTS is going to be a overlay data network for GSM. Over time, UMTS will be the standard for voice and data. Sprint and Verizon are already talking UMTS. Digital cell phone systems are about 5 miles apart, closer in higher populated areas. Analog can be up to 20 miles apart! Don't know if you guys know this but when you drop a call, the cell site knows this and records why and makes a log. That log goes to the provider and they check into it so it won't happen again. With ATT and Cingular merging, that is only a good thing for us consumers. I curently have Verizon for my cell service but I will be swithcing to Cingular next spring. With the amount of cell towers they will have, having low signal won't be a problem.
  11. Must be the same one I saw. I kinda like orange....
  12. Hmmmm, Interesting..... Glad there is more peace in this world now.
  13. Anyone on here have a late 90's bright orange Eclipse with a ground effects and a different rear bumber where the plate is off to the drivers side? I saw it last Saturday on I-71 & I-270. I just loved the color of that car, something I would like to have on mine if I were to repaint it.
  14. Prodeje79, Did you just keep calling the manager of the store you wanted to work at? The new chips are coming out soon? How much better are they than what currently out there? Do you have any info on the new chips? Bill
  15. I thought about a DLP Projector but in order to get a good image, you have to pay big $$$ for the proper screen. I will have my new TV downstairs in my family room which is 12 x 21. A DLP TV would work better for my room. The whole wall will be TV and stereo equipment...
  16. Who works for Best Buy? My wife applied for a cashiers job 3 weeks ago (online) and haven't heard anything, she just wants to work 2-3 days a week for a few extra $$$ for X-mas. She might even stay with them after the holiday season if things work out. Is it a pain in the azz to get a job there or do you just have to wait to get a call? How do the discounts work there? If she does get a job and if the discounts are worth anything, we are thinking about buying a 50-60" DLP Widescreen HDTV. Any info is appreaciated.... Send me a PM if you don't want others to see your post. Thanks, Bill

    METALLICA!!

I went and saw them, pretty good show. Godsmack had a better sound to them though, Metallica sounded off key. I was 6 rows back and had awesome seats. I even got a guitar pick from Kirk...
  18. Hello, My name is Bill Wright and I have been tuning LS1 F-Bodys for about a year now, most of them have been N/A 6 speeds. I have done a few that are supercharged and also done a few C5 Corvettes. I don't consider myself a Pro and I don't have a shop, I'm just an individual helping people to get affordable LS1 Tuning in the Central Ohio Area. The Tuning software that I use for all 1998-2002 LS1 F-Bodys is HP Tuner. It is very similar to LS1 Edit and makes the same changes. If you have a C5 Corvette, you will need to have your own editing cable as I don't have it. I use my Sony laptop which has 2 full capacity batteries. Downloading your stock file takes about 3 minutes and uploading only takes 30-35 seconds. I don't just throw it up on the dyno and tune it, I do Part Throttle Tuning first. We drive around and get a idea how the car is running and check a few readings. After each upload, we have to drive around for about 15 miles to get a good average, especially if you have a more radical set up. After the part throttle tuning is done, then we head over to the dyno shop to tune for WOT. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we can do the Part Throttle Tuning one day and do the WOT Dyno Tuning another day. The Dyno (Dynotune Motorsports) that I use is on the west side of Columbus, off of West Broad Street, about 2 miles west of I-270. Full Tune Pricing: $225.00 for M6 Cars $250.00 for A4 cars $100.00 per hour for the dyno; includes wideband O2 and boost sensor if needed Basic Tuning: - $25.00 for the 1st change and $10.00 for each additional change Basic Tunes include some of the following: - EGR removed - Fans temps lowered - Rear O2 removed - A.I.R. removed - Rear Gear change Full Tunes takes anywhere between 2-5 hours. Basic Tunes takes about 25-45 minutes. I highly prefer that you have a stock tune in your PCM. If you have a Hypertech, reload you stock tune back in before I make any modifications. If you had your PCM changed by someone else, pricing could change if I have to do "more tweaking" to get it right. If this is something you are interested in, send me a PM or an email with all of your mods and a good description of your car to: som2001ss@wowway.com
  19. I need a new or somewhat new clutch fork for a 67-69 A-Body small block Mopar. My Friend has a 67 Dodge Dart Convertible. The one he has now binds the system up. Bill
