  1. I'll disagree and have to say that Hal is right, every kid is different. I was never "slapped" around, but my dad would beat my ass when I was a kid. Open palm, never a board or belt. I've grown up to be a very respectful person. I always had a fear of disappointing my parents. That's why I didn't get into illegal things like a lot of my ex-friends did. I've adapted that to raising my son. I don't want him to feel as intense about disappointing me though. I want him to know that I'm proud of him, but he needs to make his own positive choices. He doesn't act out in public or at home. Very smart and respectful for being only 5 years old.
  2. I'm on Okcupid and Plenty of Fish. I've had pretty much no success, other than girls I already knew and saw on there. I've met so many bad ones, that I'm always very skeptical of any pictures of girls that message me. I'm just not into overweight women or tall women. I once met a girl who was honestly an almost identical personality as me. She was fun to be around, but when it got physical I found out she used to be 400lbs and had a ton of extra skin and it really creeped me out. Sounds shallow, but I can't change what I'm attracted to. I typically have my ex-wife look over the profiles and tell me what she thinks of the girl b/c she's pretty much been right about every one of them. Just be up front about yourself... don't take myspace angle photos, don't edit your photos to make you seem smaller than you are. Like I said, I have nothing against bigger women, but when you make yourself seem "average" and you show up a "BBW", you're not going to get great results, IMO.
  3. I've had the same thing towed into the shop before. Morons.
  4. Cool build. How many ignition switches have you went through though?
  5. If I'm only gaining 5k a year and potentially will hate it, no thanks.
  6. Very cool. I can't imagine the work and stress it took to put that together.
  7. Anyone ever had to file a claim with USA hockey insurance? I had my feet tripped out from under me last night and landed straight on the back of my helmet. I was dizzy for a minute and now I'm feeling even worse. I have a headache, neck pain, and as this day has gone a long, my vision is getting a little blurry, but that may be my new contacts as well. I have an appt tomorrow morning with a sports concussion specialist. I'm just afraid of what it's going to cost. I have 2 primary health insurances right now and the USA hockey excess coverage.
  8. I mean I could see jokingly throw him in there and laugh about it, but I sure as hell would make sure it's not going to turn on. But then again I've never been to a laundry mat. :dumb:
  9. I've been debating where I should move within the next year as I wanted my son to go to a good school that has a high school hockey program. He's enrolled in a Gahanna summer school this year, but all of these seem to be a good choice as well.
  10. IR for air Snap-On for electric /thread Buy once, never buy again.
  11. I don't think there is anyway I could make a 6AM drop in. I just don't wake up before 6 unless I have to. I occasionally make it to afternoon drop-ins if I'm free. I'm almost always at Saturday Night Hockey or whatever is going on on Saturday's. I'd love to meet up with some guys. Post up when you're going to go and I'll try to make it.

    Logo design?

Seems cheap to me. If you're a business, your logo is going to be what people recognize. Just think how much the logo of Pepsi or Coke is worth. Several 100 millions if not more.
  13. Thanks. I really contribute it all to ice hockey and loseit.com's app. I've been playing 2-3 times a week since I started back in December and just watching my calories coming in. I've gotten so much faster and better as the weigh came down. I've been playing pretty much every Saturday night in Herman's class and he has commented the last 2 weeks how he would never been able to tell it was me from when I started playing. I think I'm going to stick with E league for another session or 2 though and then move up.
  14. I've lost 43lbs in the last 6 months. I'm 6'2" and weighed 287lbs, now I'm down to 244lbs. I've been taking SES classes at CSCC and had a full test done on me back in November when I was 273lbs. It showed my lean body mass at 195.7lbs and body fat at 28.3%. If I go by those numbers now, I'm just at 20% BF currently. Everywhere I read says 20% is about average, now I want to be down in the 215-220 range, which according to my lean mass would put me around 10% BF. Do these numbers seem right? Just some background, I'm a pretty big guy, always been athletic growing up and pretty strong, but does 195 lean mass seem right? If I put my information into a BMI calculator, it says healthy weight would be under 195lbs. I used to be around 210 out of high school and I was pretty fit at that point. I don't see how I could ever get under 200lbs. I know there are some knowledgeable trainers on here, just wanted everyone's opinion.
  15. Just send her my number then. :gabe:
  16. If you honestly don't want kids, then it's a no brainer. You're going to get less alone time, your money eventually will go towards the kid and taking care of it, and you will need to be responsible. Honestly though if I didn't have a kid I'd be weary of relationships like Austin spoke about. If you can't agree with her about how she's raising the child, it'll probably never change. You'll bite your tongue so many times that eventually it's going to bite you in the ass. The girl will side with what's best for their child 100% of the time. I am a single father and I've had a few girls say they don't want kids/guys with kids. This doesn't bother me, just makes me think they are much to irresponsible to care for a child.
  17. This is what I always though. If I buy something expensive I'm going to lose it. I've lost cheaper things before, but what I noticed, when I spend a ton on something I always know where it is. I've carried a $250 HK auto axis (Benchmade) for the last 3 years and haven't even forgot it once. Same with sunglasses, I bought a pair last year that were over $100 and haven't lost them once.

    Cane's......

I usually get a Caniac combo and split it with my son. No slaw, extra toast. Rip toast in half, put chicken finger on, throw some Cane's sauce on it, delicious sandwhich.
  19. I've sent thousands of dollars worth of stuff through USPS, hundreds of packages. Locally, Nationally, and Internationally. I haven't lost one thing. I probably send 10-15 packages a week. Just sent a $900 package to Alberta on Tuesday. I buy a lot of inventory for a friend up there for his store. It's a lot cheaper for me to buy it in the US and then ship it to him.
  20. Hence the word covered. Meaning far too much to cover up the blandness.
  21. Those were decent, but again they were covered in seasoning to try to make it taste decent when I tried them.
  22. That shit is gross. Everything is so bland that they have to smother it all in garlic, which makes it even more gross. Not to mention America doesn't need 3 serving sizes in one order. We're already fat enough.
  23. My favorite salad bar growing up was always Ponderosa. Mmmm, but really I'm happy with any bar that has black olives on it. Frisch's has never carried black olives for the salads.
