I believe so. Either way I would.

I have a DC59 handheld. I love it. I never saw myself spending this much on a vacuum cleaner, but it's totally worth it so far. Had it maybe 6 months, but it's so light, portable, and powerfully. My 7 year old son easily can finish his chores without help from anyone else. Would buy Dyson.

I've thought of doing all of this too. I'm not sure yet.

Spent the other morning throwing on my new black door handles. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/IMG_20150309_102549.jpg I feel like it really changed a huge amount of the look. I was kind of apprehensive about maybe having too much contrast with the black/silver everywhere, but I'm loving it. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/IMG_20150309_131629.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/0309151312e2.jpg

I'm sure those are great seats and all, but look like Ebay knockoffs.

So I got the exhaust hung. Still not exactly how I want it, but definitely the look I was going for. Need to weld on a bracket to hold the right side up a bit. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/02261518422.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/0226151842a2.jpg Called in the expert to help put some wheel bearings, ball joints, brakes, and RCAs in this weekend. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/02281511402.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/02281515572.jpg

Yeah it was Andy's. So many can understand why I said it was way too low. haha Anyhow, more parts. I bought a set of Celica-Supra wheels from my buddy Doug. These wheels are one of my favorite designs and love the way they look on older Toyota's. They are 14x7 +8 offset, not necessarily "hellaflush", but look "right". 185/60R14's will be wrapping them. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/IMG_20150211_1037332.jpg My last few sets of Supras were flat black, so no need to change that. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/02121513382.jpg Never a big fan of stock steering wheels, so I got an NRG deep dish leather wheel with an NRG short hub and NRG quick release. Great fitment and good price. I'll upgrade the wheel to a Nardi once I get everything else on the car that I want. The NRG wheel is good, but still some flex (No where near EBay steering wheels). Still a great wheel probably on par with a Grant. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/0119151531a2.jpg Also got a set of new headlights. Love the yellow glass and these upgrade to an H4 bulb. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/0207151005a2.jpg My daily and the wagon. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/0204151127a2.jpg Some more parts ready to go on, hopefully this weekend I can may some headway with getting the header and exhaust on. Also need to throw on my new front brakes, bearings, joints, etc and get to cleaning the underbody.

It's been a long time since I had an actual project car. Super happy to have this 1980 Corolla wagon. I've always loved the look of the wagons, especially the early model TE72 with quad lights. It handles really well and carries hockey gear in the back like a pro. I actually have no idea what I'm going for... pseudo drift car/cruiser/just what I like. I have no intentions of drifting it, maybe a few auto crosses. No idea right now. Just building it how I like. So here's the stats. 1980 Corolla Wagon 3TC 1.8L Purchased with 113K on the odometer. Originally from GA Originally an automatic car, 5spd swapped from previous owner Has QA1 front coilovers with (I assume) AGX shocks, no idea Rear AGX shocks with 2.5ish lowering blocks Bought the car and it was slammed waayyy too much for my liking. That caused a bit of rear quarter damage that'll be addressed soon. Here's how it sat when I picked it up. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/0103151222a2.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/0103151223c2.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/2462.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/2352.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/2432.jpg Parts have been comingin steadily for this beast and taking up quite a bit of space at work, going to work on getting them installed within the next few weeks. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/02191515082.jpg

This is a huge part as well. Even a lot of dealerships are getting this way. It's hard to find good help for parts departments anymore as well. Luckily I'm at a great place (Over 70 years of Toyota parts experience) with probably the highest pay in the city. They really value us here.
-
I've worked dealership and aftermarket parts and you see it a lot, but I feel they will always be a demand as most people want their parts the same day. Plus with repair shops needing stuff same day to get the car back to their customers it won't ever go away. You'll possibly see more price matching. I'm always willing to work with prices on OEM Toyota stuff if you need anything.

You obviously don't know Andy Farkas.

I think fining people isn't the right way to do it, but it's good motivation. Eating healthy is cheaper than eating unhealthy. You don't have to buy at Whole Foods or just organic to be eating healthier. I can make chicken and rice with a side, water/juice for about $8 for me and my son (and still have leftovers), but go to McDonalds, two chicken nugget meals would run closer to $10.
-
I work at Toyota Direct in parts, if you need any accessories or have any problems, just let me know.
-
Yeah, just say Jon told you. As of right now I'll be going tonight, but it'll end up if my son wants to go or not. Should be there.

My buddies team 36 Minutes Til has open practice every Friday night, 20 minutes or so of random drills and 30 minutes drop-in. Tomorrow 10PM at Ice Haus if anyone is interested. Normally $10ish depending on how many people show up. Always a good time, I'll be there. Yeah sorry for the OT, I get excited anyone says anything about hockey. haha

Good deal. I play Sunday/Thursday D North. Just started 2.5 years ago or so.

What teams/leagues do you guys play on/for?

The last 3-4 months I've quit going out to lunch while working. My savings account has loved the extra attention. Just started to get a little bored with some lunches, so wanted ideas of what some people do for lunch? Just put a mini-fridge under my desk at work just to make things even easier. Anyone have one at work that they keep stocked? List?
-
I understand, but this guy didn't ask for this attention I'm sure. He's done the same thing for years. Trolling Bob since ~2004 OD days. lol Hopefully the guy gets a car and the money goes to a good cause other than him, b/c that's a lot of money for doing your job.

Why would we applaud the guy who cures cancer? He's researching a cure, with your logic he's just doing his job. It must hurt inside to be a sad, bitter person.

Need help, buying a new beeter, know anything about saturns?
verse replied to OGRE's topic in Passing Lane
Yeah, I've never seen one break in the 6 years I worked there. Only clutches and some leaks. The auto trans on the other hand was complete junk. A lot of problems there. -

Just keep an eye on the oil level and it'll be a good runner, they burn oil like a sieve. Even a rebuilt motor can burn 1qt per oil change. DOHC so better motor, manual trans don't have any problems other than occasional the input shaft leak. Check the spark plug tubes for oil. Common problem with the valve cover warping. Looks pretty clean. Super easy to work on, any other questions PM me. I was a tech for several years at Saturn. -
Buddy Club exhaust for the wagon, then rest into savings.
