I actually subscribe to LootCrate, but that's a completely different niche, same business model though. Theirs gaming/nerd stuff, ours car enthusiast gear.
-
There's only one out there that is as relevant as we are already and they basically are basically a t-shirt box with car content. Thanks!
-
Yeah, their promo video just propelled them to success. We've talked about promo videos and I have some goofy ideas that may work. I'm just not sure we have the equipment to make it really happen. The IT guy at work does a lot of videos for work so I may try to convince him to help us out.
-
They are actually our biggest channel right now that we will be working with. Quentyn and I just struck a deal yesterday, so keep an eye out for that video next month!
-
It'll vary each month. Typically will be 5-7 items like wearables (shirts/hats/gloves/etc), interior/exterior car care products, tools, novelty items, stickers, other items. The first month will include tools, a shirt, and a few other cool items, retail value on the first box is $60 +shipping. The more subscribers we get the lower we can get the cost to get more value. It's hard to get some people on board just b/c we can't really show what's in the first box b/c it kind of ruins one of the large selling points to a subscription box, a surprise box each month. That's why YouTube is a big advertising opportunity for these types of companies. People get to see the previous months box to see what kind of stuff is included.

Thanks! We've been working hard on it for a while now and have had good feedback and sales so far.
-
Most of our advertising so far has been on Facebook and Instagram. No promo video, but that's why we are trying to get some YouTuber's on board b/c it's a huge for people to see someone opening an actual box. It's hard for us to piggyback off a vendor's advertising, once we get over 1K subbed I think it'll be a lot easier to do things like that.

Farkas and I have started a company (with huge help from Bob and TacPack) that we launched this weekend with very good feedback and sales so far. It's a car enthusiast subscription box called PetrolBox. We are looking for a few good quality YouTube channels to help advertise our company. Being here awhile I know you guys typically have good ideas. If any of you know anyone with a decent YouTube audience personally or just from being subscribed to them, let us know. Some of the large channels will be pretty hard for us to get right now being a start up. I've contacted several with no response and only have 1 on board right now. http://www.mypetrolbox.com if you want to see what we are up to.

Bump to reduce price. I was backed into last weekend and I'm going to see if I can just lower the price and unload it. It's obviously not completely mint now. Still great car and a real head turner. $4K OBO http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/VZM.IMG_20160903_135124.jpg

Car drive and handles great. Just drove it to Detroit this past weekend without a hiccup. Just bought another AE86 coupe and this has to go. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/FB_IMG_1472052028933.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/FB_IMG_1472052020307.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/IMG_20150510_163309.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/FB_IMG_1472052053430.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/Cars/FB_IMG_1472052056692.jpg 1980 3TC 130K T50 swapped, originally an automatic car. Doug Thorly header, AE86 DD copy catback. Front QA1 Coilovers. Rear custom leaf springs. KYB AGX all around. Rear quarter has been shaved in wheel arch. T3 short tall shifter. Interior is great. All new charging system Front suspension and brakes all newer CON T50 input shaft bearing is whining again, it's been replaced, but it's coming back again. I may or may not replace it. Also have a good T50 in the garage. RR quarter was tapped this weekend, AGAIN. It will be fixed if I get the price I'm looking for. Will include entire manual steering rack swap. SUPER hard to piece together for these for $400

It was probably an IS F-sport, not an ISF, different motors.

I paid for mine back in February.

Bump. Anyone still planning to go? I know about 3-4 guys that I'll be cruising up with on Saturday night. We haven't booked a hotel or anything yet, plenty of time still left.

Yeah that gate will cause damage to your fence. That's some chintzy way of mounting a gate. Looks like crap. I wouldn't have nearly as much of a deal with it as long as it was done right and it wasn't going to damage my property. I'd tell him he has 2 weeks to fix it or I'm taking down the fence on my property line.

My buddy owns a shop called CB Signs in Grove City. I've had him do some work for us at Toyota and it's all been good.
-
Thanks. He was complaining so we didn't hang out too long.

Yeah, people would throw a fit that the child had access to the gun, the parents are responsible of that access. In this case, the Gorilla is the gun, and the person who is responsible for access is the zoo. You shouldn't have to worry about your child being able to climb into a gorilla exhibit. From what I've seen, there is basically a few bushes separating the public from the moat around the exhibit.

Toyota Tacoma Vs. Other Trucks/ Work Vans/ Sprinter Van

A guy at work has one of those Leer caps that he took off a used car during inspection. It's red, but I can see if he wants to sell it. Edit: NVM it's for the 07+ body style -
Just rent a shelter at a metro park. Most of them are right next to playgrounds, or just have it at someones house.
