  5. I work for an airline. Just ship it home. If you are going to be bringing back alot of it the airline will charge you if your luggage is over 50lbs. Just pack it in a big box with some of your clothes. BTW different airlines have different rules on how much of that stuff you can bring with you. I used to work international flights alot and people were always trying to smuggle extra bottles of rum on the airplane. I love the duty free stores:)
  6. I have a 25lb wooden sledgehammer we should smash it and take video
  7. miller auto wrecking will have what you want in the phone book under auto parts used
  8. this one didn't slip either it exploded it even said on your vw forum they would pop with with more than stock boost you just got lucky if you want to build a fast car don't start with a volkswagen unles you have a pile of money to spend camaro, firebird, mustang, charger, lighting, imprezza, evo these are what you want to be looking at for easily modded budget daily drivers
  9. pull the fuel rail to change the regulator mm&ff recomends 27psi on n/a cars and I can see why my stock regulator had me at 41 psi with pressure reduced the motor feels stronger fuel mileage is up and the gas smell is almost gone
  10. get the little filter that goes under it also from napa 1.49 they clog and make um blow oil sometimes.... I wouldn't set the fuel pressure any higher than 30psi at idle
  11. blow the bolt out with the torch you used to heat it works every time
  12. that is pretty funny I think maybe you have to have shot down a tree first with a shotgun to understand how much fun blowing shit like that up is
  13. the very first thing you have to do is replace the clutch and pressure plate with a much stronger than stock one. A simple 5psi increase in boost on the woman's gti destroyed the pressure plate and it only had 20k on it.... that and if your planning on working on it yourself go right now and get a good set of triple squares spline drives and metric hex sockets..... good luck
  14. I'll make a couple calls wednsday and get some firm prices but, your easily looking at over 200 dollars per tire in that size though
  15. I've had some good work done by both columbus col-weld and napa at ntb we send our stuff to randy's machine shop in whitehall (old carquest shop)
  16. 4.5 qts is actually a little low if you also changed the filter if the fuel pressure regulator goes bad it can suck fuel right into the motor through the vacum hose and make it smoke
  17. true or not thats a good line boy scouts btw if anyone cares Have merit badges for rifle marksmanship, shotgun marksmanship, and archery all of wich include extensive saftey training and requirement to shoot a specific score on the range
  18. its 40's up to oh 3rd genish f-body little of everything
  19. thats the closest around here your going to find anything old all the columbus yards have scrapped the old stuff
  20. window glass glide chevy dealer should have it in stock for about 1.50 its a long piece of plastic that clips through a small hole in the edge of the glass
  21. pull the vacum hose off the fuel pressure regulator and see if gas is spraying out of the hole the guages first check the dash panel and make sure the wires are plugged in tight after that start checking grounds... as already stated a good ford factory repair manual can go a long way in helping you trouble shoot.....
  22. you'll need a repair manual 1st check the wires right at the back of the alternator it should have to plugs one big and one small the bigplug is where the power comes out of the alternator the small plug goes into the voltage regualtor its is not uncommon for one or both of these plugs to go bad or even melt one of the wires going to the voltage regulator is the turn on wire (this is where the repair manual comes in) it should have power with the key in the run posistion if it doesn't ohm out the wire to determine where it is broken. if the ohm reading is within spec (repair manual again) you may need to replace the ignition switch... hth
