    you could get a t-10 in early 60's fords and shelby gt350's so the bellhousing is around an easier route in a ford if you want a 4 speed is a top loader the foxbody is pretty tight in the tunnel so you'd probably need to run a hydraulic throwout bearing on either one..

    the drl and low beams are the same but the lights get fed less power in drl mode so they appear to be dim

    looking at the wiring diagram real quick it could also just be stuck with the DRL on and not switching to low beams when commanded.... do your high beams light like normal or are they also dim?

    I went and read some more on AM generals website light small truck production has stopped but they are still building H1's and spare parts for the military/ government way less job loss so thats good like it or hate it the H1 is one of the best factory built off road machines ever built

    you can get a 2300 series 2bbl in a 550 not much room to grow but it'll be easier on gas

    looks like a weak ground or corroded connection at the lamp try just unplugging the lamp and then plugging it back in you can also loosen and retighten all the grounds for the lighting system and see if it helps. if you get nothing from doing any of that have rob teach you how to do a voltage drop test and work backwards from the lamp untill you find the bad wire

    its 5lbs or so lighter and it helps eliminate vibration problems you get with older stock shafts
