  1. Love the Crew Chief and of course the TrailCat
  2. They normally go for like $50 on CL. But people are going to want to know what model (2-door or 4-door) they came from and what is the part number on the springs (bar code tag on the springs)? There are about 4 or 5 different spring and shock combinations that have been put on the JKs and JKUs. Depending on what the part numbers are they could net effect give a person a 1-2" lift if they currently have the shortest spring height

    Free Chipotle?

Friend of mine works at the Chipotle Corporate Finance offices here in Columbus. He sent me the code about 10:30 this morning. It is legit.
  4. The 3.8L is also well known to consume oil, so keep a very close eye on it if you go with a JK with that engine. It isn't uncommon for them to consume a quart every 1,000-3,000 miles. Don't forget, if gas mileage is a concern, the 2 door JK will get 1-3 mpg more than the 4 door model and that goes for both engines, 3.8 or 3.6. I DD a 2013 2-door with the 3.6L and automatic. Mixed driving I get about 19-21 mpg. On long highway trips, I have seen as high as 26 mpg.
  5. Check out a group called the Muddy Buddys (facebook group and website: http://www.muddybuddys.net/main.htm), it is a pretty big group and a lot of people have done a lot of V8 swaps over the years with just about every year of Wrangler. There is a TON of information out there on doing just about anything to Wranglers, just read up on it all. I don't know a lot of people that have V8 swapped the 5.2L or the 5.9L because of the cost and little improvement, but since the ZJ it came out of was cheap/free, I understand the desire to look into it.
  6. Costco for me. Had a Sams Club membership years ago and did a lot of shopping there. Moved away from Columbus, so gave up the membership. When Costco was opened up at Polaris, I was living in Westerville and I went up and did a walk around the place and noted items I buy on a regular bases and what their cost was. Then went for a walk around Sam's Club to compare. Sam's had basically the same prices but didn't have the amount of items I would buy in comparison to Costco at a discount. So I went with Costco. Haven't done the comparison for a while but prices haven't changed much at Costco so I keep renewing. Now use a lot of Kirkland (Costco's brand) items now and don't want to change.
  7. I got one very similar for my brother-in-law at JC Penny's like that for pretty cheap. Like >$50 a few years back.
  8. You can get a Charger or 300C in AWD with the 5.7L. If you are really stuck on the wagon idea, you could look for Magnum which can also be found in AWD with the 5.7L configurations. Another option would be the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8
  9. It is not like the NFL. You should have access to all the games except Columbus Blue Jacket games no matter if it is a sell out or not.

    WPAFB Museum

Definitely less busy during the week now that school is back in session. I started going there when I was in Cub Scouts and still try to make it once a year or so. Always a good time.
  11. I have been going back and forth for quite a while on getting into the hobby. Probably going to drop the money on a 4wd truck at some point when I come across a good deal. I have a huge back yard and large wooded lot behind the house to play in. I was in OBX last week and the idea of playing on the beach with one did seem fun.

    Mr. Robot

Yeah I didn't realize I was 2 episodes behind when I typed that. LOL I got caught up last night. LOL

    Mr. Robot

I have been enjoying it as well. Glad I set it up to record to the DVR. So does anyone else get the feeling Mr. Robot is really in Elliot's head and he is really leading FSociety? Kind of like Fight Club and Mr Robot is Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt)
  14. Most of the time you can buy a kit from Lowes, Home Depot, Menards where you can build your own
  15. I picked up a replacement wand and hose for my power washer at Home Depot. Probably spent less than $50. Unless your unit has a special treading, I believe most are universal.
  16. Jeep purist said the same thing when they went from the CJ's to the YJ, YJ to the TJ, and TJ to the JK....
  17. I know, but a lot of the comments were about newer models as well. I know a lot of people that DD YJ's and TJ's for years. Some in completely stock or highly modified. As long as you can stand driving something with a short wheel base and the aerodynamics of a brick, then they are fine. YJ's and TJ's seem to have an issue of a rusting frame near the rear tires. As long as you find a good welder, many companies make kits you can use to cut out the bad section and weld in a new, better section. Stay away from the 2.5L 4 banger. 4.0L is a tank of an engine that will last forever and easy to work on. Plus even if you do kill it, they are easy to swap out. Soft tops can be noisy and leak, but most of those complaints out there are from people that run a cheap aftermarket or a completely worn out top. You need to care for the tops, seals and most need replaced as they wear out.
  18. I DD my 2013 Wrangler with no issues. I run a soft top in the warmer months and a hard top in the winter. But I know plenty that run the soft top all year long with no issues at all. Jeep heaters will run you out because of how warm they are. It isn't the most practical, but I enjoy it and isn't that the reason we drive the vehicles we do.
  19. Hell of a year to finally pick up a soft top for my Wrangler....
  20. I ran a Truxedo brand tonneau cover on my 2009 Ram and never had an issue. Only thing extra I purchased was some weather stripping that I added to the end near the cab to reduce a gap at that end. Kept the truck bed bone dry for all the years I had it. Snow didn't seem to bother it too much. I did try to make sure to brush it off it if I brushed the snow off the truck.
  21. It is a Garmin Nuvi 1300 I live in Westerville, near 270, and I work in Dublin.
  22. Free. I really have no use for it anymore. I will try to get you model tonight.
  23. I have an older Garmin with out of date maps. Picked up a newer one a few years ago for like $50 and lifetime map updates. This one sometimes will reboot on its own when it gets warm. Maybe once an hour it seemed to happen. Yours if you would like it since I don't use it at all anymore.
  24. Check MicroCenter. They normally have some good ones for not that expensive.
