Hey Steve, I'm not on that forum so can you make a post/PM Panther this idea for me? If he is at all able to take PayPal or a credit card, I will gladly pay the $100 + the surchage, I think PayPal is 3%, and a credit card is usually 2-4%, so I'll give him a few extra dollars for the inconvience so the $100 still goes to the cause. Just don't overdue it like me,lol. I bought a house almost two years ago in an estate sale in Bexley, I bought it for roughly $50k under value compared to the two houses that had sold within 6months of mine, on my block. So sweet, good deal for me, sure the house needed work but I didn't think I'd put that much into it and come out ahead. Yet, coming up on two years down the road I have at least $40k into it....but its exactly how I want it and everything is new, the house didn't NEED $40k but that's how it goes. I don't regret it and luckily my house value has improved as well.

Ok, so I just listed my car up for sale on craigslist earlier today,and I'm checking my email tonight and I have two emails from people,one a foreigner saying they're are interested in buying the car/checking it out, etc, but yet both provide a 614 number to call them at? Obviously it's 2am so I'm not calling them now but before I do tomorrow is there something I'm missing? One of the people is a "Michelle" and says she's in Dublin, her email sounds pretty legit. I may have been being a douche, but do you know how the economy is right now, let alone the automobile industry? Cars aren't selling, you can negotiate quite a bit on a new or used car, so who's to say it can't be done, many dealers are willing to waive fees/cut profits just to move cars.

I'm debating on renting my house out. Not because I'm in the OP situation but because I want to sell it and even though I'll be fine selling it, I'll still lose money because of the market and what I've put into the house... How did you guys get renters and how did you screen them? Did you pull credit, if so how? etc etc, I know nothing of the sort.

+1 on a honda, the newer ones have come down a lot in price, you probably could find an 06-07 civic with like 30k miles on it for $10-$11k, would probably run forever. Or get her a nice Regal and then you can fix it all the time for her since you know them?

Buck...check out this site you can enter in numbers and guesstimate your payment, if you got a mediocore interest rate on a used car, like 5%, you would have a payment of $230 on a $10,000 loan for 4 years.... http://www.bankrate.com/calculators/auto/auto-loan-calculator.aspx If you wanted to stay at 4 years, and got a decent rate the most you could buy with $250/month would be approximately $11,000. But you should be able to get a better rate then that for that short of a term. Check Credit unions... I got 4.24% for 72 months on a used car a few months back, so you should be able to at least get that for a shorter term loan...
