How much would it take for you to be able to justify living at "moms" again for a year and a half? I.E. Cash savings over 18months. $5k? $10k? $20k? $30k? More?? Just trying to justify something without getting into specifics, and wondered what the board thought.

Not to be an ass,but why didn't you just buy a model with them? They are probably only a couple hundred dollar option, and over a 5 year car loan it's like pennies on the dollar, plus no hassle and under warranty? Just seems smart too on a brand new car?

Just an fyi on mods... i did the basic mods on my 01 and my gas mileage went to shit. 3.4 pulley, intake, ubend delete, tune, tstat, plugs, etc, couple other small things, made the car more fun and sound awesome, but i average 16-17mpg mixed driving, compared to 23-24 before.

Wow, cam only is impressive. Oh I know they're not drag cars, but this kind of info just makes me want to buy a c5z06 and do light mods and have a nice, fast car for $15k rather than put a shitload of time and money into a project car and have it just as fast, like an ls1 rx7, even with an fc and whatnot you'd still be at $10k easy, why not save the time, spend a little more and get a vette that'll be worth more every day.

This has nothing to do with this thread, but rather than make a new one, I had a quick question... What does a stock c5 z06 do in the quarter? Mid 12's @ what speed? I'm seeing about 12.3-12.5 around 110-115mph,right? And what does one with a 150shot and a tune/good tires do in the quarter @ what speed? Just curious. Google wasn't my friend for the 2nd part.

Hmm...I've got a truck.....who's got a trailer? It's obviously stolen, or the owner is in jail. No person who owns that kind of car would let it sit there for a few days.

Is the added cost of a new truck going to be outweighed by getting a few mpg better? Not to rain on your parade, just wanted to make sure you thought about that. A lot of people jumped on the hybrid bandwagon for no reason other than because they could, now they're screwed. Even if you found a truck that got 5mpg better,(which probably would be hard to do consistently w/ a full size truck) over 120miles each day you'd pay for 9.2 gallons in your truck, or 6.6 gallons in a new truck getting 18mpg, so saving you roughly 2.5 gallons of gas each day, or about $6.25/day. If you drove 5 days a week, for a month, that would add up to $125/month, can you get a newer, better mpg truck for that much or less, without losing money selling your current truck? Didn't mean to ramble, sorry. Just my .02

It has an aftermarket gel seat and gel grips, they are both black and look oem, just nicer. Original parts included. **Hesitates sometimes from 4k-5k rpms, but otherwise runs fine, I've just put 800 miles on in just in May. Could use a tune up/fuel filter.
