I just picked up a 98 civic lx from the original owner for my wife to daily, its got low miles for the year, and was cheap, hopefully we'll see 35mpg and it'll take 50k miles in the next year or so.

True, I just haven't found anything I liked for $10k-ish. And my fiance works at a credit union and they are doing 4.24% on anything newer than 2002. Your rule of thumb only works if you get 0% financing though... I noticed my 00gt was considerbly slower when I ran the AC and/or when it was hot out. It never ran the same as the nice cool nights or mornings as it did when it was 75 and sunny. Just an fyi, probably not it, but some people forget that. And my .02 about fuel pumps, when mine was going out, the only time it worked correctly was under full throttle, I.E. hard acceleration, it continued to get worse if I daily drove it normal, but would still be fine if floored, make sense?

Meh, they haven't made any really cool cars in almost a decade... What I don't understand is one, why keep buick, and two, why keep gmc? can't they just consolidate these similar models?

There's a car I'd like to check out in Mt. Vernon at a dealer, but for some reason the phone number isn't working. I found the dealer's address on yellowpages.com, so I know it's a real lot, but want to make sure the car is still there before I waste an hour drive there and an hour drive back. If anyone is local and wouldn't mind literally just driving down the street and seeing if the car is on the lot and calling/texting/pming me, I'd really appreciate it. Definitely sounds like you should lawyer up, but from your previous posts it sounded like you were pretty well off, as if you could drop $30k in cash on a car at any time, so can't you use that for a few months to afford things until a lawsuit hopefully wraps up in your favor? I know that would suck, but at least you have it.

which is faster stock? 1.8t gti or 03 srt4? which is easier to make faster? i'm assuming srt4, but i think i'd like the interior/ride/quietness of ride of the vw.
