My computer did this, Except not so often. I had 2 cd drives, a normal one and a burner. It turns out something in the burner one was malfunctioning and would cause the computer to reboot/freeze. I took the burner out and its been trouble free for months now. Good luck.

Is there anything I should watch out for? The major thing that sucks is there are no Dell stores around so I can see the DJ in person before ordering. Here's the downlow Apple Ipod - 20gb, approx 5,000 songs, and I can get it four $269 new w/ my student discout. Dell DJ 0 20gb, approx 9,900 songs, and its $194 shipped from Dell w/ a coupon. The MAIN thing I care about is being able to hardwire one of these into my car stereo and being able to use my headunit to control the player. I know I can do this with the IPOD, but can I do it with the DJ? That's the deciding factor, because so far I've heard about the same for both. Thanks Matt

You can get the 20gb for $194 shipped. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with that one right now, some reason I need that much space. I only have 560 songs on my laptop but it says its taking up 7.5 gb's. How can Dell/Apple say you can get 1500 songs on the 6gb one?

What's the difference between these and an Ipod? Can I hardwire the DJ into my car's stereo just the same? Thanks for the headsup, I knew nothing about these. Matt

Oh, its also got a floppy drive and CD drive, the CD burner messed up so I took it out.

Ok, all i could find out is that is has 256mb, and i'm pretty sure 60gb of ram. Where do I find this info out? It started out as a Gateway, but since I've had it upgraded/things fixed, its a mix of components. Call me up if you guys want to check it out. Matt
