    Termites

My house has evidence of previous termite damage....but it has been "clean" and documented for nearly 30 years by having an annual contract w/ a local company and they perform quarterly checks. I've been in my house 4 years and haven't had any activity and when I bought my house I had the seller prepay for 5 years of the same service, through Varment Guard as well. I think with today's monitoring practices and ability to correct issues it's much less of an issue than it was 20 years ago. I say if you like the house and it's a good deal, don't worry too much about it. Maybe do something similar to what I did, make the seller pay or give you credit for the monitoring service for so many years, for peace of mind. I'm pretty sure the Varment Guard service is like $225/year and for as long as you have the service if you/they ever find more evidence or existing termites, they coverage your damage up to $1million, so plenty for my home. My .02.

    My new

    Congrats, what's the orange thing?
  4. Also, if two people want to co-drive a single car, like alternate turns, would they split a ticket or be required to buy one each?
  5. Hmm, debating on bringing the SHO for this, but I'm pretty sure it'd be body roll heaven. Lol

    My new daily

Looks ok...enjoy the miles per gallon I guess. I'm rocking the cheap DD too, mine was cheaper but gets low 20's with my nearly all city driving, but I can't complain for the price. But it doesn't matter...and I wouldn't recommend a VW for his intentions, LOL.

Pretty sure he has an Edge.... But +1 to an ecoboost Flex, sexy brick.
  11. Give me $20 and I'll take that paperweight off your hands. Maybe it'll come in handy throwing it if I'm attacked, Maybe.

+eleventybillion....hell I said this on the freaking test drive!
  13. Until you want to use it multiple times a week...then it adds up really quick. We have a slip on the Scioto for the summer time and frequently leave the boat in for a week at a time so it makes it quick and easy to hop on it for a few hours in the evening, or weekends. Boat was bought new in 1996, it's a Malibu Sunsetter LX, still holding up great and looks just as nice as it did 15 years ago...
  14. Congrats Nate. *Fixed for me
  15. There is a guy on here, names David, that works at Ohio Mulch. Not sure if they get commission or anything there, but he should be able to save you money at least. Search ohio mulch, or bulk mulch or something on here and you'll find the thread from a few years back. I've used him the past few years every spring for mulching the beds, but I recently lost my phone and his contact info with it.
  16. Ah, ok, from Jason's post above it made it seem like block was still going to be the limiting factor, so I was just questioning why that was. Now that I understand it's not and has plenty of wiggle room I understand better and approve. I agree, one thing at a time, at least you're doing it right this time. Best of luck on the project.
  17. Oh, and just want to say I'm not hatin' on your plan/car/etc, just at the fact it sucks you'll only be able to make slightly more than factory shit could.
  18. All good points, but I guess I figured for the money of a new block, parts, assembly, etc, you could at least score a factory 03/04 cobra longblock and push 600-700whp, right? I mean what is the mmr900 shortblock rated for? 500rwhp doesn't seem much more than the 450whp number I've seen thrown around a lot for 4.6 factory blocks.
  19. U NEED MOAR POWA!!! Seriously? 500wheel on a built block w/ a blower? Have fun I guess.
  20. Meh....just do the cabinets at the same time....i did and it makes this part of the process easier, lol. have fun, i thought about doing my kitchen/bath tiling myself but when i found out how cheap i could have it done, i said F that and paid the man. Was done in 2 days and have had no issues in 4 years.
