Hey, we talked at Cars and Coffee that saturday, I had the pewter formula. No idea you lived in Bexley as well its weird I've never seen you driving around/through Bexley.
Welcome.
^^^LOL I understand, I've only had the car a couple weeks and just want to have some fun too, I'm sure i'll be painfully slow and need to work on the driver mod too.
I may be buying a set of wheels/tires tomorrow that have a pair of these on the wheels, they aren't the right size for me and I want to see about trading or selling them.
They have ONE pass on them, and I have the receipt for them purchased from Jegs last month.
They are $470 new with tax for the pair...http://www.jegs.com/i/Mickey-Thompson/672/3745R/10002/-1?parentProductId=753925
I either want to TRADE for a pair of like condition 275/40/17 MT ET Streets or sell for $350obo for the pair.
Again, this is a feeler as of now because I am not buying them until tomorrow. Thanks
^^^Wait so L92 heads would be good for an ls1 ??? someone on the last page said they wouldn't be...? That they'd be overkill... I obviously need to do more reading on the subject as I just started delving into it, but I don't want to leave this thread confused...
Late fall/winter works great with me, gives me time to save up the monies...
But fuck spending another $2-$3k for 50whp. I'd rather just leave it as is or drop a G on nitrous and get another 100-150 whenever needed.
So are you saying that heads aren't really necessary? I mean I know you can make 400whp w/ out heads, just cam and bolt-ons.
So is the trade off cost for power gains not worth it for heads?
yick, I've had it one too many times, but if times are tough and you must drink it, its usually best to start with at least a six pack of something better, then move onto the nasty natti after you have somewhat of a buzz...lessens that nastiness
Put me on the list for teh ported ls6 heads...what cam would be good for a daily driver/fun street car? PM me when you're thinking this might be possible...
oohh, my bad, guess i need to do more readings on teh ls1tech. i just was looking at other stuff on tsp website and noticed their 'packages'. thanks for the info.
Guess I won't look for much more than 400rwhp na, sucks the auto takes so much away.
If people are making 400rwhp with just a cam and bolt-ons, how much of a gain would be seen with the stg 2.5 5.3l heads or the l92 heads from TSP/PRC?
There is if you're not double verified, I just went through this a few days ago. If you ONLY have your checking account verified through them there is a $500/month limit, but if you verify either your SS# or a credit card, then there is no limit per month.
why must it be NA? Why not just do basic bolt-ons, a cam, and some juice? Pretty sure the lsx motors have proven to like it and handle it fairly well. Just curious, as it'd save you a bunch of money I'm sure.
My dad could drive you/the car out if you wanted...we were just planning on riding out in my car together, but I'm sure he'd be willing to drive you out in your car, or drive my car so I could help you. Save money on renting a trailer?
and tune, she does know brian... I believe it went 13.0 right?
congrats and welcome, im hoping to hit my first track day with my formula on the 23rd, you be there?
400whp doesn't sound very hard to do at all when reading ls1tech, it seems most common bolt ons and a cam reach 400whp. Doesn't sound too crazy to me if you can find a motor cheap.
What's it going in btw?
I'm assuming you ordered from lowes/home depot local? They shouldn't have a problem with exchanging them for you. I agree its a PITA but when I bought new cabinets 3 years ago I hand picked each one off the shelf, but still ended up returning a few as well as exchanging some doors off of other ones because the finish wasn't uniform.
Doubt you'll have to get the CC company involved, but even if so I don't think there is a 30day window limit or anything.
wow wow fuck fuck, i want. you didn't mention title situation. also, are the new tires the ones being put back on the back, and what are they?
any dings/dents/cracks/scratches that should be mentioned?
