Not sure what it made N/A but there is a mustang on youtube with a 5.3 and ms3 that sounded pretty cool untuned and then there are some followup vids of it making some 10sec passes with some spray once tuned...
just a thought would be cheap and sound wicked. Ive got a nitrous setup with jets for 150 for sale...
Looking for a coupe trunk fox body. Preferebly roller or 4 cyl. solid car but needs some attention.... and cheap
if anyone knows someone with one or sees one please let me know
If you are in Columbus just call the mayors hotline and they will connect you with the proper people. its the 311 number for the call center in columbus or just dial 645-3111
thats the stuff I like to hear. It looks like 50 and cloudy now so if we get a flew glimpses of the sun id be real happy.
Excited and looking forward to it.
anyone going that is not racing that would not mind making a few bucks? I want every pass I make on video. Was just going to bring my old iphone4 since vids are easy to take and good quality and easy for me to watch on the tv or computer with it.
Really need to see what shocks settings and tire pressures help the car or hurt it on video and what is going to make this car hook.
I dont have anyone to bring, so pm me what your time is worth to hold onto my iphone and just make a vid at the starting line beside my car every time my car goes.
yeah they've changed a bit since I left 5 years ago but theres great money in them because no one else works on them. Sidework can make you good money as well doing german stuff. But the way some domestic companies are stealing german ideas Id say you proly would feel more comfortable then you think.
I turned a wrench for about 9 years as a profession before the career change. Never worked domestic, always figured for the most part there were tons of GM/FORD/Dodge techs out there.
Worked for VW From my Junior year in H.S. and made a good living. In the summer flat rate I would turn 65-80/week and in the winter never saw below 38-45.
I think my highest year turning a wrench at the dealer I made around 65k.
You are a smart dude scott try audi/vw.. german cars are selling well and theres plenty of warranty work and most of the dealers in Columbus dont touch cars over 100k miles so there is plenty of maintenance work as well (timing belts and big service intervals)
Not sure what the top end scale flat rate pay is now but I think I was towards the top at my departure.
That's why the old saying is tool boxes have wheels for a reason. Someone out there is needing a tech and willing to pay you right or guarantee hours for a set period of time to get you adjusted to their product line.
MS3!
Put one in an ls2 car with full exhaust and vararam intake. made 430 something rear wheel. I think I just sent his injectors off to FIC and had them redo the stocks and flowmatch them to 43#.
Ended up spraying 150 on the car and it screams with or without the spray.
Its a good overall cam, it proly is a little on the larger side for a driver of any sort especially with 112lsa but good sounding cam IMHO
good question, ill measure deck and overall length tomorrow or this weekend when i can get out to it again. its the same trailer we hauled the bmw on vince
Ill probably leave it for sale for about 2-3 weeks. If its does not sell Im going to be painting it/putting led lights all around and putting a box on the front for straps and such and just keeping it for a while and get an enclosed later.
Not a must sell, but figured id move into an enclosed for next year.
Either way please share the deal with any car buddies you have
Thanks!!
