  1. I will never mod a new car now...its beyond stupid. Part prices will go up and supporting parts that would typically be fine with aftermarket items are now going to be pushed to their limits from the factory. Im not saying that im not a fan of innovation and future mpg/emissions that "perfromance cars" will be getting but its just going to get out of hand. I know im an Ls fan boy but its so simple and well built. I know what the old heads feel like, when you talk to them about when points and condensor ignition sytems went out and carbs went out. SAD
  2. ramps Id have measure but id guess 4-5 ft...again never had issue loading my fiero which is low or my crazy compact CMS race car which practically sat on the ground. The dove tail does pretty good in these situations.
  3. Jason, we used it to haul that hot tub. It is heavy duty, I have hauled countless cars and every year haul 5-6 yards of hardwood mulch at a time on it and hauled 3-4 yards of topsoil (probably more) without a problem. The fenders do not detach like a uhaul, but clear my nova and even my fiero when I had it, which sits low as most could gather. It has dual brakes but only reason I know is because the wheels have been off but I never had a brake controller (I know dumb) so I know they are there but never tested...so I am not sure the function to be honest. But the guy I bought it from in later 07 said they worked....
  4. not sure where my pics are at and why I am posting such a shitty pic but this pic is actually 2 years old, the camera is off. Either way it looks the same from the day I bought it. I will load alot better pics when I get over to get it again and make the CL ad ** pic could not be worse and proly should not use it but its grey and open and 19'* http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/DSC00390.jpg
  5. you have a trailer dont you anthony? lol
  6. It is nice, Im searching for a pic now. Its plain though. Steel grey wheels, steel fenders, steel solid deck, hand crank tounge jack nothing special but its nice, I was going to paint it and change all lights to LED over the winter if I keep it. Just looking into an enclosed trailer for overnight travel purposes.
  7. 19' Open dovetail car trailer. Very solid trailer all steel weighs 1900lbs. Pulls very nice, have had it all over the place in the past 4 years Ive owned it. Tandem axle. Tires OK, Lights work. Going to an enclosed will post pics when I can dig some up. Its is currently painted grey, ramps slide underneath. Diamond plate steel floor 1350.00 cr price which is very firm. Im having a hard time letting go of the trailer and I still have not listed it on CL which Ill proly list it there for 1800 ish 19' bed and 23' overall length http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/20121103_144308.jpg
  8. wow..... LS motor you will be sooo greatly missed http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/lt1.jpg
  9. shame on me. I saw the date of oct 24 and thought it was new news...disregard this thread
  10. Im sure once the details come out it will be a nice engine. however Im not sure about going back to an "Lt1" is the way to go. With as much success the Gen 3-Gen 4 LS motors had you would think it would be bad luck to rename the next gen an LT1. http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20121024/AUTO0103/210240387/1361/GM-unveils-small-block--LT1-6.2-liter-V-8-engine-for-%E2%80%9914-Chevrolet-Corvette
  11. not for certain but it looks like a q trim, those had the 3.5" turbine vband. I think when I bought one they were 50-75 more. either way good deal for a good turbo.
  12. that number is with the voltage boosted to 13.5v and on gas. Time you buy an eliminator pump and controller you should just go with a magnafuel or weldon pump that requires no controller. Im sure it will work but it will suck to use a boost a pump to get to 13.5v if you need the extra supply and stress the pump. Corn just requires so much more fuel. I love it but it just makes the initial buy in for fuel so expensive. GL
  13. 78's will get you to your goal on corn. Id assume the one eliminator pump will work I know twin a1000 pumps fell off around 900wrhp on my with corn. I went with a cable driven belt drive pump
  14. I sent an email to Jim Layton at NTR this morning describing in great detail my discontent. He seemed concerned and answered my email but im sure zero fucks are given. Ill still go because its ten minutes from my house but they have serious issues.
  15. Well I had to have my rear shocks relocated to accomodate the afco DA. Up front I tightened the qa1 shocks full tilt and I really had no weight transfer to the rear. I really dont want them to loose in case the car decides to stand up. So I am contemplating going back to a moroso coil spring with an afco single adj. But for now pat reccomended going with a looser setting up front to get some travel and rebound back and seing how it does with the addition of the new rear shocks. Its just going to take some time for me. Its just going to be hard running a turbo 400 and 3.23 rear gear with 1000hp on caltrac/split monos. they can handle it for sure just going to take some work on a small tire. The ET is made in the first half of the track, the car is going 9.80s still on lower boost and doing HORRIBLE on the first half of the track so I am still happy where its heading.
  16. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HAL-GS401-10350A/Application/?prefilter=0 GS401-10350A fits camaro/firebird first gen and nova 68-74 new with tax over 475, less than 100 miles sell for 320.00
  17. Yes, I did not stay on it long just enough to see 4-5 lbs. Either way it did not matter since it blew the tires off and went to center stripe
  18. Yeah went 9.80@145 sideways for first 100-120 ft shit sucked. Car can do so much better 60 was 1.6 leaving on 4-5 lbs
  19. slick track and took way to long to get test and tune cars through. They were still running the left overs from hootout until at least 3-330. I got two passes in and was teched through at 12 and left at 430.... stupid.
  20. Went to National Trails today and only got two passes in, the first one somehow my throttle body boot popped off and it was over. The 2nd and last run I brought the 2 step in with the transbrake and left around 4-5lbs of boost. The car instantly blew the tires off and slid sideways for the first 100-120 ft then I peddled it to a 9.80@145. I am mounting these afcos this week and going to go back next week. No video becuase my damn sd card was full on the gopro here is the slip hope to get the car to 60ft around 1.2-1.3 and bring the boost in without slipping around to get an 8 sec pass before the year is out... http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/20121021_165024.jpg
