  1. haha thanks guys...im cool with it being a front track. Its just a nice clean low mileage car for me to drive. It will be getting lowered here as soon as I decide between a cup kit or coilovers
  2. lol I know but it was too good of a deal to pass up! I would like to of had a quattro but to be honest it does not matter in the winter I drive the 2010 silverado z71 everywhere, so if nothing else Im just getting a little better gas mileage with the front track....
  3. indeed but it rides real nice, i can hear myself think and i dont have to shift gears...
  4. Well I got rid of the High Mileage VR6 GTI and was looking at a bunch of cars. Was trying to get into an Fbody but some people were retarded with the price they were asking for theirs. Since I have such a deep background with VW and Audi I figured Id take a look for an Audi. Looked for a couple weeks and somehow found this 02 A4 Front track that was a 2nd owner low low miles (71k) with all paperwork for services. That car is Ming blue which has some pearl in the paint. The car is super clean and looking forward to doing a few things to it. I picked up some B6 Avus S4 18" wheels that are near mint. Im going to take it to get tint on tuesday and just trying to figure out if I want to do a cup kit with bilsteins/koni shocks with springs or go coilovers on it. Pretty much just a driver but its a nice step from the GTI. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/20121111_153021.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/20121111_152948.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/20121111_153049.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/20121111_153100.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/20121111_153117.jpg
  5. I Have everything except a comp license which I will have by first of next year... I dont care about that part of tech though. But I know in the track day details they are looking for no leaks and nothing falling off. However people were leaking stuff and Im sure there was plenty of stuff that was not real safe. All Im saying is there needs to be a capable person to look over the car to make sure they arent going to shut the track down on the first pass. Obviously shit happens and anything can and will brake but if its ready to happen with little effort it can be caught first before making a pass and cutting into our 4-8hours of track time.
  6. I agree. Set a date and make it far enough in advance that people can get the day off work and you can get enough "fast" cars together to make it happen. But stick to the underlying rules you set for slicks and DR only and cars 10sec and quicker....
  7. I vote for 40 cars max if its going to only be a 4 hour block. And there really needs to be better tech than the guy who is in the wheelchair at trails who really cant even look for leaks. When I was there he rolled to the drivers side of my car checked the belts and asked what kind of helmet I had...thats it. He did not even look at anything else.
  8. exactly what I expected to see, lowered cars with enkei wheels, no exhaust and a cold air intake. Man I dont miss my days of going out to the bs car scene with these young kids tooling around.
  9. the market is flooded with 2.7t a6's for some reason right now and most high mileage with some records but most have none. I know if I was in the market for a 2.7t with high miles the first thing for me to be slightly interested would be a major service records and would want to see documentation that the turbos have been done at least once in its life. I love those cars but have seen way too many 2.7's dropped on the table at the dealer for turbo replacement or someone spending 4 hours to replace an oxygen sensor.

    bump for lower price
  11. cool. Id like to try and make as many early on track rentals next season and try and get my car to work
  12. how do you find out about these other track rentals? Did holt build your car?
  13. sweet vid thanks for the post
  14. I had fun at this years NTR Fall track day. I understand you get what you pay for and a majority or the participants did not need a track with a bunch of bite to run 12.50 and slower. I would also be interested going in with small groups of people for a little larger buy in and a heavily prepped track as well. Things can always be worse.
  15. sweet, always cool to read something like that about your own car.
  16. that would be nice to know what they would charge for the spray. I understand somewhat on a busy night for test and tune but during a track rental... its a great way for the track to get some more money. Give us an upfront option saying we will spray the track once for this price and if you want additional sprays then its this much.
  17. yeah they are impossible to call. ive tried to find there numbers as well
