  1. is it a 1.8 or 2.8? if its the 1.8 there are common hoses under the intake and a couple behind the cylinder head.
  2. I turned a wrench for a living for about 8 years at a dealership flatrate. If a 3/8 gun did not fit it then I used a 1/4" air ratchet. If you buy a quality 1/4" air ratchet it is as strong as a mid grade 3/8 ratchet but fits in tight spots. I did work for vw though were there are a shit ton of 8 and 10mm fasteners so I did not work on trucks or domestic stuff where there is alot more room for a large ratchet.
  3. Well had a couple road blocks, the more I read about my oil pan choice I thought it was not best for my ground clearance and mount choices so I ordered a sheet metal pan from autokraft, its pretty nice with those trap door baffles. I finished getting the motor all bolted together and ready to set into the car. I am still on the fence clearance wise with my headers. I love the flow and looks but may have to get some stock valve covers, the tubes are very close to the valve covers. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7624.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7623.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7622.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7621.jpg
  4. ace is the place. Thats the only place i scrap at, they do give the most money
  5. I think 3/8 ratchets are pointless, buy a real good 1/4". Order of importance Ir2112- 3/8 impact Ir2131- 1/2 impact Ir composite 1/4" ratchet
  6. I have one pm me an offer
  7. GM Muscle Car Lsx Oil pan. Brand new never used. Comes with windage tray and pickup tube. The pan was powdercoated a aluminum silver color. Looks very nice, there was also a -10 oil return line welded into the side of the pan for forced induction app. That return can be capped if not used. I have well over 200 invested. Will sell for 150 plus ship http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7535.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7534.jpg
  8. Did receive the WG and BOV today in the mail, both JGS pieces and a huge fan of the quality, looking forward to using them http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7536.jpg gate is 60mm and bov is 50mm
  9. yeah Ill be rocking it all summer (or till it blows) The only reason for me to pull it really was to re loom the loose wires and make it cleaner. I have that extra shortblock sitting on the stand in the garage I am going to check the bearings on it and just have it waiting for this block to split
  10. Well If you are trying to offload those plugs.... I am interested Do you think 7's would be better if I stuck to NGK?
  11. they are the aluminum gt40 heads... I dont know which ones until I pull the valve covers but they are tapered seat. I put Tr6 plugs in the car again because that is what sam had in the car. I will see how they go, I do have them gapped a little bit too much possibly at .30. We will see if I have spark blow out issues, but I will be running 13lbs for a while
  12. I know thats on my list. I dont care for the intercooler intake wrap. I am gonna get a blanket for it and then proly have the intake powder coated with the other stuff that I am gonna do. Though I may rock it till this winter when I pull the motor....
  13. It is a TAK window net. Pat uses this window net exclusively due to the fact the the bottom is angled and works great for the mounting.
  14. The phone number for Pat Martin is 614-519-9935. He can do chrome moly or mild steel, I would imagine he could weld up a prefab kit but he bends all his stuff in house for a super tight fit, and I am sure it would be cheaper in the long run getting something custom fit for your car. Hes got great pricing and great customer service, I could not of asked for a better all around finished product from him. He races as a profession so he travels alot when the season starts and his shop is always busy so you may want to call asap. Also Will (614streets) is a good reference for pats work as well, hes the one who sent me to him.
  15. Progress has been a little on the slow side due to some parts issues. I am only waiting on some pushrods at this point to get the motor all the way ready to go in. So I have been doing some finish work on the firewall and then got the interior back together here are the latest and greatest photos. My goal is to have the engine in the car in 2 weeks and then get the car back out to the fab shop to have my hotside crossover and coldside made up. Got cage painted, new carpet installed, new cover on rear seat, bolted seats in and installed harnesses http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7513.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7509.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7515.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7517.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7518.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_7520.jpg

  17. I have a set of bolt in Jegster Frame connectors part number is 40060 through jegs price is 121.99. They have been used but appear in near perfect condition. They are bolt in but I see alot of people bolt them in and then weld them they fit 79-93 mustangs except verts http://www.jegs.com/i/Jegster/550/40060/10002/-1 Ill take 60.00
  18. Yeah it was the best for both parties. I loved the idea behind this car and what it was and the mustang was too nice to drive.... or at least it was to me after I got the body/paint work done.
  19. ok yeah they were tight, I just checked and by my gauge they were right around .25. I think the ones I set were a little under .30 but close to that.
