  1. have not installed my balancer yet but what is different from just using a block off wood and a hammer to knock it on. I am sure there is a reason on lsx motors that you cant do that but just was not sure. Is it just a space thing when the motor is in the car?
  2. You know I just thought the exact same thing
  3. Its been a little while so things have changes but back in my dealership days (4 years ago) we sold Easy Care warranties and for the most part they were great about covering items and ended up buying alot of expensive repairs as long as it was not due to a lack of maintenance on your part or the previous owner.
  4. +1 for getting one online... I like Denny's driveshafts

    1999 CR250

Well I bought this bike with full intentions to have a fun trail machine. The top end needed done when I got it so I bought a kit (piston, bearing, piston pin, rings, cometic gasket set and reeds.) I took the carb apart and cleaned it all out, cleaned the power valve assembly and changed the oil with amsoil and flushed the coolant. The bike has good plastics and the dunlop tires are brand new as well (nubs still on them) also has brand new air filter. I have the title in hand. The bike is a handful and very powerful. I have only had 4 strokes in the past and may look into a 125 or a 4 stroke again. Just too much bike for me. have it on craigslist for 1370--------- CR price PRICE DROP 5/31/11 900.00!!!!!!! TITLE IN HAND also has the larger fuel tank on it for trail riding, starts on 2nd kick shitty pic but you get the idea http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/cr250.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/DSC01100.jpg

    LS1 value?

They have 5.3 aluminum blocks... So no

    LS1 value?

Yeah anymore i see no point in an ls1 when you can put together a 6.0 or 5.3 for much less all together and looks the same making same or more power
  9. It's not just about .35 a gallon it's been climbing steady and when you fill up 2-3 times a week in multiple vehicles it is a large amount of money. I think the 400 we budget for fuel is crazy, and that's not including toys that get fueled up. Not saying I don't have the funding but enough is enough. But in the end I'll pay it because I have no choice /rant
  10. Wife did just say sams club on 256 has gas for 3.80 still @5:20 pm. If you have a big gas guzzler you may wanna stop there
  11. THIS... Hell we were budgeting 400 for gas per month looks like we are going to re-adjust that.
  12. awesome, looks like ill top off my tank before work if it is still 3.89
  13. going to meet joe in the morning for the oil, he said that he has a fuel filter as well for a legacy that is up for grabs and he wanted me to post that.
  14. that helicopter still available?
  15. yes operators of safety equipment that are using beacon lights and audible siren are required to use due regard when going through an intersection. When you look up the state code of 4511.45 and city code 2131.21 which is the right of way for an emergency vehicle code it does not show an affirmative defense as being deaf. I would think a judge may waive the fine and just find you at fault in the accident. Either way its always fun to make your own case law
  16. Ill take it. ill shoot you a pm
  17. oh ok, whats the incentive of running one oversize on the piston then
  18. I can stay stock size as long as their are no gouges or scratches in bore right? and what top end kit do you recommend?
  19. Yeah it runs, just got some low compression. Has enough hours for a top end to be done on it, but bike has been maintained and only trail riding. I notice Wiseco has pistons kits with a single ring and one ring? If the bike I get has the single ring can I get the dual ring and upgrade it...
  20. Thinking about buying a buddys 99 cr250 that needs the top end done. Never had a 2 stroke or messed around with a top end. Anyone on here a dirtbike guy that has done one? How difficult is it to do and what kind of time investment to do it. Recommend doing anything else while apart I was pretty much just going to buy a wiseco top end kit and install that
  21. you should just sell it to me
