Very nice. I wish my car was fast.

Nice!

Sorry if I missed something, but you said small company. This small company laid of 150 people at once? Sounds like a strange and very rough situation..
I guess I should say "relatively small" and by "laid off" O mean the company closed without warning.
-
Field goal!
-
You said "lightly modded". Oh well it doesn't matter. Everyone said you can't get a Lumina into the 12s right Buck?
-
I appreciate all of the encouraging words.
I got my resume together and started calling all of the contacts I knew. I have a lot of friends who are getting my resume in front of the right people.
It was hard to see 150+ people that you have worked with for 6-10 years all losing their jobs at once - without warning. If just so happens my dad was among them. He is 60 years old. He said that for the first time he feels 60. It was very sad.

I see what you did there.
LOL....
Regarding the missing dishwasher, you can borrow my wife but I can guarantee you it would be cheaper to put in a new dishwasher....or just buying new dishes everytime they are dirty - that would be cheaper as well.
-
Yep ZR1s on my car came from them - good product and service!
-
Ambitious yes, but hope to see high 12's and low 13's on a lightly modified Nissan N/A platform by fall.
Oh well, here's the ride...
Maybe downhill...lol
Nice ride - welcome to the site

Congrats - you are now a homo

Hmmmm, beer, hot cars, and nude women. How could anyone pass it up?
-
Look at the bright side, your wife works and makes a good wage.
Huh? You must have me confused with someone else - my wife does not work.
Oh well - on to bigger and better things!

I did a quick search for "mortgage" and came up with a bunch of replies (not all in Columbus though). Check 'em out. I'm sure you'll find something out there that's better.
I was put in touch with someone there this afternoon. Having been in the industry over 10 years I have a lot of contacts. My services will go the highest bidder - lol.

I just got put in touch with a "high-end" sales recruiter. He is pretty excited to help me find a job. Thanks for all of the suggestions - I am looking into all options. I am looking at this as an opportunity to change my life for the better. I have been pretty happy but things were getting a bit "stale". Maybe a change will do me good.
Thanks again for the suggestions and good wishes!

I believe we are still looking for more sales people for my division, Timken Reliability Services. If you are interested, drop me a resume and i'll pass it up the food chain.
Thanks man - I appreciate it. At this point I think I am going to stay in the mortgage industry. Just work in a different part of it and stay away from a small company.
-
Well I lost my job today. I have been there 11 years. The mortgage industry is in worse shape than you are reading. I worked for a company that was family-owned and truly tried to do everything the right way. We just could not hold on through this downturn. I have never been without a job before but somehow I feel a bit relieved. It could be a LOT worse. I have a college degree, CPA license, and 10+ years of sales experience. I am not quite sure where I am headed but I hope it is a better place. Wish me luck! Hopefully I can get something put together quickly so I don't have to sell my baby (the T/A, not my wife or kids). If anyone knows of a good, interesting opportunity let me know!

Do you have a lamp that looks like a leg? Preferably made in France?
-
AMy won't know. Her car hasn't stayed running long enough to experiment with different pullies;-)
-
I think it's funny when people make ignorant comments like this. Nevermind the fact that France has one of the oldest and most decorated special op's unit's in the world. Yes their military sucks as a whole but that doesn't mean I would say the French Foreign Legion isn't a formidable fighting force, then again it does consist mainly of non-french citizen's so your half right I suppose.
It was a joke.

TTT - first $300 takes them

I hear ya. What are you gonna replace it with if you do?
You know what's crazy? I could sell my Cobra right now for MORE than I paid for it, that's how good the value is on it. But I won't sell it, unless I'm upgrading to a C6 Z06...
Nothing at this point. That is the hardest part of the deal. It will be a few years before I can replace it. I only have 10 pmts left....
-
No offense, but I'd jump ALL over $18K if you are serious. That's a great deal on your car. You figure I sold mine a little over two years ago for $14,500. I tried to sell it modded for like $17K or so. Mine was a 2000, yours an '02. I had less miles on mine than you have on yours now. So you figure they should be about worth the same as when I sold mine. You'd be lucky to sell yours for $15K all stock. $18K with mods is a great price, in my opinion...
I agree - assuming I want to sell it. I was kicking around asking 16K for it. Sadly, for me, it is not all about the money when it comes to my car. Financially it is a no brainer.
Also, keep in mind mine will be a bit more marketable than yours was. As I pointed out before yours was rare for a reason. Most people want a fully loaded Trans Am vs a "stripper" Formula. Only the ones that want to build a race car or who are looking for something rare look for the hardtops. Your car was too nice to be made into a race car.
-
Am I the only one that is surprised at how little damage there seems to be to the FD? Look at the size of the Merc that hit him and how fast. He was lucky the car was not made in China he would have died.
-
It would be OK as long as you could find a way to drive from the back seat.
