  1. That's the thing right there, because more than likely you will be selling it to someone who won't care if God himself did the work. We know he at least touched the motor, it's an LSX. :p

I went through the same thing when I sold my Formula, except you have FAR more money in your car than I did. I tried to sell it modded at first and got no bites. I put it back to stock, sold the parts, and sold it in about a month.

I'm also of the mindset that mods don't add value to a used car, they bring it down. Like I'd probably never buy a modded 03/04 Cobra. If I did, the first thing I'd do is take it to Brian to make sure it had a good tune... :)

As I was responding in this thread I was thinking about the trouble you had moving yours at 14K wasn't it? You probably had a little more difficulty because your car had a "narrower" group that wanted it. Most people that want an F-body want T-tops and prefer a T/A. Still you were trying to sell it for 14K - far cry from the people that are saying it is worth 20+. You might find someone to pay that much - it probably is worth it - but it probably won't move fast. Although that color is dead sexay!

I had a guy come up to me at a show yesterday and ask if I was willing to sell mine. I told him I had actually been considering it. He offered me 18K - I told him get the cash and it is his. I am not sure if I want him to get the cash or be unable to. We'll see by the end of the week.

  2. A guy offered me 23k for my car, but couldnt get approved for the loan (last year when I was trying to sell it). I also saw an SS go for $22k with similar mods. I would start around 20k.

Honestly I think you should keep it and de-mod it a little. It can still get you from point A to point B... plus it's sexy!

If someone walked up with 20K my car would be gone. Hell even at 18K I would sell it. I would probably regret it later but that is how I feel now. I think 20K is too high. My car is nowhere near as modded as yours but it only has 38K miles on it and it is an 02.

  3. I know the feeling man. I have been kicking around selling mine for about a year. I absolutely love the car and have put a ton of work into it but the mortgage industry is tough now. I have pretty much decided if I put mine up for sale it will be ~16K. I don't have as many mods as you do but the mods typically do not help the value.
  4. I am posting these for my uncle. He purchase a wrecked 2002 T/A WS6 as a "powertrain donor" to his street rod project. The T/A apparently had < 500 miles when it was wrecked and totalled. The tires are Goodyear F1s - size 275 / 40 / 17. 2 of the wheels and tires are perfect. The other 2 tires have cuts in them from the accident (see pic) but appear to be road worthy. The 2 wheels with the cut tires appear to be damaged / bent. I am sure they could be repaired. He is asking $400 obo. He was not sure how much to ask for them - wants them out of the garage.

Respond here and I will put you in contact with him directly!
