  1. I think I have seen you around - welcome!
  2. LOL - and splitting the AFC North Division games is apparently a given?? I don't think there is any way Clevelend will be .500 in the AFC North this year. Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Cincy make this a very difficult division to "rebuild" against.
  3. Brady Quinn reminds me a lot of Tim Couch....
  4. Looks nice. I like the mods - tastefully done.
  5. Funny Saturday Night Live skit - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjtVnqZCndo
  6. Interesting Sean - the numbers on your 2000 Formula are identical to what mine put down.... I still want a piece of the Cobra before you go crazy with it
  7. Skip shift is a non issue man. It is easily eliminated with a cheap plug in harness (30.00) or for free if you know a tuner that will delete it from the computer for you.
  8. Used parts - (thanks Wease) Cam - 250 Headers - 300 MSD wires - 50 ASP underdrive pulley - 75 New parts - performance Comp cam valve springs - 200 Thunder Racing Pushrods - 180 Corsa exhaust - 675 UMI suspension - 350 Hotchkis springs - 200 Short shifter - 50 Off road Y-pipe - 100 SLP lid - 100 Tune / dyno time - 300 New parts - show Wheels / tires - 1400 Tint - 150 Gauges - 150 About 2800 in performance parts netted me a ~80 RWHP gain over stock. The car dyno'd at 332 with a lid and cat back, 383 with the full boltons and cam. It was never dyno's completely stock. All of the parts were installed in my garage with the help of others in Cofba. I don't think 2800 is too bad but the car was not real cheap - 24,900 4 years ago.
  9. Cool 0- the weather is going to be great, I would love to see a good turnout
  10. Damnit - I read the comments and opened the link anyways.
  11. Maybe I should change the location of the COFBA cruise in from Jegs to Quaker Steak and Lube....that would be interesting...
  12. Congrats. You need to write a book on how you got your wife to buy in on the mods. My wife doesn't mind the $$ I put into the car she just always seems to find a "better" use for it.
  13. All F-bodies are welcome - clean and dirty! It is going to be nice - get the damn cars out!
  14. Nice Red GP?? I am sure I will see you around 0- I live and work in the Polaris area.
  15. I played around with a guy in a SL55AMG last year on 161. It was a sweet looking / sounding car. I could tell the guy was a little pissed his 120K+ roadster could not pull away from me cleanly. They are impressive. To have all of that power without having to be loud or any other vices.
  16. It says it is a "street car" - it must be a loose definition.... http://www.carclips.org/viewvideo/64/Fastest_LS1_Powered_Street_Car_In_The_World/?ref=Slpls1
  17. Hey guys COFBA (Central Ohio F-Body) is getting together at Jegs in Reynoldsburg on Saturday, April 21st at 9:00 pm. Just looking to see some of the F-Bodies out there. It looks like the weather is going to cooperate so if you are out and about stop by and introduce yourself.
  18. Looks nice. Why did you give up on the other one? You had a lot of work in that one!
  19. Go to http://www.bad95killer.com. All 3 are there to download

  21. OOohhhhh that is what lope soulds like...lol. That's sweet
  22. The current Z06 already runs with the Viper - even the new one with 100 more horsepower. The Blue Devil is rumored to be 650+ HP. They are looking to put all challengers on the trailer.
  23. Sorry - Mallard's post is a great way to end the thread but I still have this to add: My 99 Grand Prix with the ANCIENT pushrod 3800 motor has 140K miles on it and over the last 12 months my avg fuel economy is 23.7 mpg. That is 50/50 highway and city. I have a Motor Trend here that has a long term test on a 2006 BMW 330i. Do we all agree that the 3 series is "similar sized"? The Grand Prix is larger and heavier but that will help me make my point. Their test's MPG avg? 19.9 combined MPG. So the incredible GERMAN engineers at BMW can't make a motor that gets better gas mileage than my 8 yr old Grand Prix? I mean my car has freakin pushrods in it! The advantages of OHC vs pushrod come mostly in the NVH factors not in "efficiency". You listed the Mustang GT 4.6 vs the GTO does it matter that the GTO makes 100 horsepower more?? I will repeat the thoughts that have been posted above a couple of times. GMs problems with CAFE have everything to do with product mix not by the efficiency of their motors.
