S4 - Stage 1 ECU and TCU tune (not going to mod did not last long), wheels and drop - call it done...maybe
Sell Suburban and Volvo C70 for a Volvo XC90.
Start saving for a barn and a Vette.

I daily my tuned up f250 diesel and love it. 4 door Lariat...all the comforts of anything else and enough room to haul who/whatever I want. With enough power to embarrass more than a few 'performance' vehicles.

And then you have to go around a corner. Or stop. That is my problem.

I truly do not understand how or why someone would DD a pickup of any sort. I wanted to punch a baby every day I had to DD my Suburban.

I wonder if Chevy will consider an RST version of the Silverado. I love the looks and performance of the Tahoe RST. A bit lower / tighter suspension, bigger wheels and tires, blacked out chrome and the 6.2.

My wife and I are working with Jordan to get a XC90. I don’t have experience with the XC60 but my wife and I have a 2009 Volvo C70 with the T5 that has been the best car we have ever owned. The thing is an absolute tank. The C70 has 113k miles with only basic wear items (CV / Axle and brakes). We did have a mysterious power draw that, after research, ended up being a software upgrade needed. My buddy had a mid-2000s Volvo wagon with the non-turbo 5 and he put over 200k with no engine troubles. He was chasing a front end /suspension issue before he gave up and sold it. I am not sure if this helps but I would buy another Volvo in a heartbeat

the LT4 Z06 I think had cooling problems as well due to the c7's bodywork, but I think the c6 had them too for a completely different reason related to something electrical. Cordell would know more since he's actually a GM tech and I am just going off what happened to a friend of mine with a c6.
I missed it was a C6...my bad

They are all targas or convertibles, the fixed roof coupes were only the C5.
IIRC these cars had cooling system issues and would overheat when run hard. Take a look for any signs of an overheat like replaced head gaskets, gunk in the coolant, etc...
I think you are referring to the Z06 version with the LT4 (supercharged). I am not aware of any issues with the LT1 in the GS,but I could be wrong.

Pretty sure this is the one...after they remove the stripes. But they’re not budging on price, thoughts? https://www.ricartused.com/VehicleDetails/certified-2018-Ford-Mustang-GT_Premium_Convertible-Groveport-OH/3273389853?utm_campaign=deeplink&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=cars.com
I like the stripes but those wheels are hideous

I think it’s pretty cool but not sure it will be a hit with the usual Camaro fan. A big part of the experience is the sound.

Buy a Honda....fucker starts with near zero effort. Worth the price.

This. I love my Honda - it is now 17 years old and still starts on the first pull. My brother still has my dad’s and it is 25+ years old- the wheels came apart as the rubber wore down completely, but that is the only thing that has ever gone wrong with it.
That being said, I am not sure how easy they would be to find used.
You fixed your problem anyway
-
Very, very cool. Needs nothing.
-
Reading your description I also thought CV joints. Our Volvo had the same issue and it was the axles.
-
Based in my admittedly shallow knowledge pool on these - they are pretty cheap to get into the 11s....expensive to get into the 10s.
-
Expensive platform to work on.

True - but how much did you have in yours running consistent 11.2s?

So this 1800-2000 dollar Cat replacement is why this thing is for sale? So will the replacement fail also, because of the APR flash?
He says he needs a truck, but to your question yes they will fail. The trouble is the cats’ location. They are on the top of the back of the motor and the heat generated by the supercharger cooks them. I read that the dealer quotes 12 hours of labor to swap cats.
-
I paid 35k for mine - 2015 S4 with 24k miles. Still under factory warranty. The add ins here are great but, as Tim said, there is no reliable fix for the cats unless you go catless. I have not been in one without cats but have to believe it is going to drone as the stock exhaust can drone a bit at certain speeds / rpm.
That being said, 2 sets of wheels and runs low 11s all day? Not a bad deal. I have to admit this one is probably even cleaner than mine.

I thought “The Heat” and “Bridesmaids” were both funny movies. She definitely has a few clinkers though.

Melissa McCarthy is not funny.
Agree to disagree

I like the older 9-5's & 9-3's, before GM took over.
In my opinion would not come close to meeting the ask of the OP. No one will notice a Saab in those years at least. To be clear I like them but not pretty or crowd pleasing.

I've always been partial to the older XJRs they just seem to say "test my gangsta"
That is hawt..

$750?? What’s wrong with it?
Hot tub repair?

Call Endless Summer Pool and Spa. They are great. I had the exact same situation and they replaced one thing at a time to be sure it was worth fixing before doing it all at once. They were just great to work with.
