  1. So hawt. He wanted a big block but just fell in love with this one. Went for a 30 mile ride - so cool.
  2. Heading to the dealer first thing in the morning
  3. Start to my car weekend- dude I am staying with just got this: http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/06/04/108605d0f2ad0677ba6d83315825d536.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/06/04/777fa906c27c6bb3dffb375df0c561a3.jpg 1968 Corvette Convertible 327 4 speed - so sweet
  4. You have no idea. My work is suffering - been talking to Greg Wheeland all morning about it
  5. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05/28/69924afa7d236ae504da71159834aad1.jpg Got to talk to the builder today. Awesome dude - I am more confident than ever this is a great purchase (hope I do not regret those words). Next Friday cannot come soon enough.
  6. I fly to Atlanta next Thursday. If info through with the purchase I will post the pics next weekend.
  7. Awesome. I have owned a cammed car before but it was a baby cam. This cam makes the car sound totally pissed off. I love the sound but don't want to lose all drive ability on the street. The 4.10s should help I would think.
  8. Any issues driving it on the street?
  9. Very good question. I struggled with it actually. To be honest, as I thought about it, I am "passable" with a wrench but typically pay to have the hard stuff done. I don't have the time or patience anymore to do it myself. I am really good with the "appearance" stuff and already have plans for that. That would be my approach to make it mine. I was not looking for a modded one, tripped across this one and felt it was a good deal - assuming the work is done well. There is well over 8k invested in this one and, based on what I am paying, I get that all for free. I am aware it could have issues but it would take a lot to wipe out what I am saving buying it this way. The receipts I have total 8k and that does not include the intake and headers which I now know it also has.
  10. Since Mitch brought it up - I could add to my collection http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05/26/729424bdc2596313fc20892b0205c64a.jpg
  11. They are looking for the dyno sheet but my "internet snooping" of the builder's Facebook found the car in the dyno and the caption showed "460 RWHP". I only know it has a cam, upgraded valve train to support the cam, under drive pulley, and 4.10 gears. I would have to assume it has an intake and exhaust.
  12. Yup - except it will be on an LS3 :-) Deposit made. Flying out on Friday 6/5 to drive it and, hopefully buy it / drive it home :-) It will be cool to be back in the "car game".
  13. Thanks guys...working on the negotiation.
  14. OK - Update - the car was modified by a reputable shop in Florida - Next Level Performance. I have the receipts - 8,000 in total The mods were done in late 2011 / early 2012 - so long enough that you would hope the bugs are worked out. Here is my only concern - cam looks HUGE. It is a 2011 Camaro SS (LS3) - it has a Comp Cam 231/247 XER 617/624 on a 113 LSA. I knew the LS1/6 well but those specs look outrageously large for the street. Anyone have any experience with an LS3 with a cam that big? It is an M6 and the gears were upgraded to 4.10s
  15. It has NO appearance mods yet. Completely stock - I would "make it mine" that way, but I get your point. Waiting on the receipts today - then will make a decision on next steps. Definitely leaning towards taking the chance. Thanks for the input - I am certainly more at peace. My thought was if the work was totally done by a reputable shop I should be good. i would think major issues would be evident on the drive - it is 8-10 hours away but a round trip ticket is only 150.00. I have friends there to hang with - either way I go I will have a story to tell . Besides, my buddy just got a 67 Corvette convertible with a 427 I can check out while I am there.
  16. Sounds like a bad story? Turbo cars add a whole other dimension in mod issue in my humble opinion.
  17. It appears to be a full bolt on car with a cam. No nitrous/ power adder. I will have the receipts tomorrow - all the work was done by one shop. I should have access to the dyno sheet as well. I plan on talking to the shop that did the work. If I can confirm the shop I believe did the work it is reputable on this platform. Car looks spotless in pics, very low miles (though I totally realize that could be a quarter mile at a time). If it is ragged out they have done a stunning job cleaning it up. It is a loophole - my wife said I could not mod it until it was paid off She is actually pushing this one as it gives her an opportunity to see her best friend as it is less than an hour away. We are planning on making it a fun trip.
  18. First thing I would likely do is take it to Brian to have the tune checked. If this was an intake / exhaust car I would not even worry about it.
  19. Immediate throttle response. I have not driven an LS7 but look at the numbers the Z28 is putting down.
