  1. My HP allowed me to finish my CCW class when my Sig failed. At the end of the class, so many were shocked at how well my HP did despite the bad rumors they’ve heard that everyone wanted to shoot it. I think they were determined to be the one it failed on but after so many boxes and rounds trying, they all gave up and were genuinely impressed by it. Are they ugly? Fuck yes. But all of mine always go bang and thus far have been way more reliable than my Sig.
  2. It's just old, 15 years at a minimum at this point. Any car at that age is going to make a questionable DD.

I'm sure it's a fine daily but you're never gonna autocross it because it's a big dumb turd and the next thing you know you're posting on CR about how great Buicks are. I'M LOOKING AT YOU CR.

But it’s a chebb, fix it with Elmer’s n duct tape. Parts are cheap and everywhere.

  3. I love driving a manual, my daily is a manual. These days I believe the automatics are better transmissions, but I would still drive a manual. I almost converted my 94 Impala to a manual.

I wonder if that is the direction things will go. Will the manufacturers stop making cars with manuals, and it will be up to the aftermarket to start generating all the swap parts?

I’d still be rocking a manual if my foot hadn’t decided to fuck me over. Since surgery I can’t take the constant operation and one traffic jam, I’d be in tears ballin like a bitch on the side of the road.

  4. Just read an article, disagreed a lot and it reminded me of this thread so

    Funny story

I have a handful of vehicles that are permanent saved searches on my auction sites. I’ll set different criteria and I’ll get notifications if anything matches. Well one day last year I get notification of a couple GTRs matching some criteria I set. One of the criteria was “red light/As-Is”

I set this because I was hunting one for a project car, so blown motor or bad trans would have been great.

I didn’t end up bidding on them, but I found it really odd that the seller was Ford Motor Company. When I look for the reason why they are listed as-is, I see an announcement that the body and unibody had been cut and put back together on both cars.

Now I’m not saying that Ford bought them and tore them apart to get notes for the 2020 GT500.. but they didn’t buy them just to help Nissans sales figures.

Manufacturers tear apart competitors stuff all the time, not really surprising to me. It may not always be to steal anything in particular, but sometimes to see how they did what they did and possibly improve upon it.

  6. Doing my best to be on none of them. I have a Linkdin I barely use and nothing else. My only issue is the only way to buy/sell go kart parts is via Facebook it seems. Currently using my wife’s for that. Hahaha

I dropped FB about 18 months ago, great decision. Huge time suck and I got sick of the political bullshit posted nonstop. I only use IG now.

Dropped my fb long ago, never looked back. I have a linked in but it seems to be turning into fb.
