  1. I think I would go with something like the Jimny. Or, and this is something I haven't exactly found yet, a Kei mini-van that is also off-road capable and covert it to a camper van probably with some rooftop tent.

I was just telling Otis in CB that a Kei truck would be perfect for him.

I’d love to have one myself but licensing seems to be an issue after import. There are a bunch of people who have gotten them licensed, but many more who can’t seem to get past some hurdle to get them on the street.

  2. Personally, I won’t hand over money and haul off/drive off with anything and then expect later to reverse it. If I didn’t have the time to check it I’d wait for a better chance to look before I hand over my cash. Just my opinion.
  3. I daily drove my Challenger Scat Pack even in the snow after I put snow tires out back. It was fun as hell with almost 500hp in the slushy stuff. Edit; it had so many nannies on it, I would try to get it upset but it was nearly impossible for it to get out of hand until you turned them all off.
  4. I wish I still had my 02 WS6, but I had to sell

It to get my finances in order 8-10 years ago. I know where it is and who owns it so I keep kicking around buying it bAck. No “fun” car at this point but my daily is a 15 Audi S4 with a stage 1 tune.

I sold mine to a guy in Chicago and he flipped it to a guy in Florida. I was talking to both for a while but ran across a thread where the Florida guy was badmouthing me. After I registered to set the record straight the thread got deleted and I haven’t heard from either since. I thought about buying it back also but that ship has sailed for me.

  5. I had an interesting convo with my 10 year old son about the whole video of the cyber truck pulling the f150 and it brought it in to perspective for me. Yeah it was a weighted stunt and those who get it know it was fluff, BUT to the average joe they are blown away that that freaky truck could pull an f150 that easily. That was their goal and target, and they nailed it. Keep in mind many of these are the same mouth breathers that watch jersey shore (is that still a thing?) but are the bulk of the population. They are targeting the spoon fed masses who rely on shit information spoon fed to them by Facebook.
  6. Ford has invested $500 million and Amazon has invested $700 million in Rivian. GM was in talks with them, but that fell through and opened the door for Ford.

    I like the rivians tbh

You really should compare similarly priced vehicles too; so either compare the base Tesla (2WD) to whatever F150 cost $40k,

That’s part of the issue too. Look at Tesla’s pricing, no way are you walking in to a dealer with 40k and driving off in any Tesla. As stated earlier in the thread, model 3 owners know that. I was nearly all in for a model 3 myself until the gotchas started adding up, then I was out.

It will never be 39k ... Ask model 3 owners haha
