  2. So if you think drivers are generally unaware, and you do not support this because it's unsafe due to people being unaware, then what is your suggestion because I simply do not follow. And yes, cager. I am one, I can accept it.
  3. Like I said, that is the fundamental problem and the answer is NOT to remove bikers from the road. Cagers need to be more aware, not less, and this just allows a biker more legal freedom to maneuver away from unsafe situations. If you can't see the benefit, you never will. Less traffic, less fuel waste, safer, the advantages truly are endless. He fact that so many people blindly say no because they don't see it is the problem with us traffic laws and us drivers. We truly fail in comparison to Europeans in this regard and it's sad most are so closed minded to anything that may advance safety and congestion.
  4. Cager - Closed minded car driver. So as a biker I can say the same thing and group you in with the rest of the retard teenage minded no attention paying texting drivers? Fair enough I guess. My point is, those retards flying between cars deserve to be a smear on the road. Let Darwin worry about those idiots. It's not fair for those who try to be safe yet have to deal with a raging cager because he's too but hurt to let anyone get by. People DO need to be more aware of bikers overall and that's something that needs to happen regardless of lane splitting or your thoughts about bikers.
  5. Instead of car drivers giving more leeway to bikers and accepting responsibility for their poor driving and lack of attention, they want bikers removed so they don't have to look out for them. I'd love to see splitting become popular on the east coast but I doubt it'll ever happen. Until car drivers give respect, it will always be a heated debate.
  6. https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/allow-motorcycle-lane-sharing-all-public-roads/qP86QbjN Thoughts? I don't mind splitting, I have done it but cagers scare me. Until punishment for cagers increases and general driver awareness is elevated about motorcyclists, I won't do it but I support it.
  7. This ^ I grew up in a bad area, those that wanted out kept their heads down, worked hard and got the fuck out. Those that cried foul are still there and their kids are there. Want better, DO SOMETHING.
  8. I've seen "green" people put small units under sinks in tandem with a whole house or regular unit to heat the water coming in until the main tank hot reaches the tap. I've thought about putting a tankless in myself but just can't justify the cost.
  9. Great tip. Where I'm at, typical repairs seem much more costly that a DIY is more often than not the best option. If there were a place that was more competitive, I'd certainly opt to let them do it. However, I don't want my nudes leaked all over so........... :gabe:
  10. Do it yourself. Watch YouTube and get the parts from ebay. It's not too bad to do.
  11. Another reason carfax is a joke. Most people dump a car soon after it's been repaired so it usually takes time for incidents to show up, LONG after a person has already dumped the car off.....
  12. I fucking hate rats with wings. I applaud that hawk.
  13. just thought i'd mention it. Many don't know about it and i was surprised at what "junk" they'd take.
  14. Heh, if that were the case it would take the pressure off me. I disappoint her as much as I can. Plus hey, if they chip in on some bills..... :lolguy:
  15. Hmm, I only did the stereo shit, skipped the rest. (JL and Fosgate are shit imho) My wife and I have been together over 20 years and everyone has more tattoos than I do, since I think they are stupid.
  16. I had a son of frank amp n stein and should have never sold it.
  17. Id love to find a set of these somewhere http://i.ytimg.com/vi/wAMB_b4x0dU/maxresdefault.jpg
  18. I actually have 12" subs and a couple amps already, but space in my jeep is so rare that I want a smaller sub. I'm hoping to find a single box with a 8 or 10, truck sized for $20 or so. I'd rock a 12 if I can find one in a small enough box but most seem to be fairly big.
  19. Have you seen this? http://slickdeals.net/f/3701794-trade-in-your-broken-ps3-and-upgrade-to-the-latest-factory-re-certified-playstation-3-160gb-model-for-99-ymmv-based-on-your-ps3-model I traded in an old fat that died. As long as it's complete, they don't care. Mine was taped together, hdd was the wrong size and also dead plus it had been"repaired" numerous times. No hassle given. If my other fat dies I'm doing the same thing with it assuming the deal is still good.
  20. Can't argue against more speed, some are willing to sacrifice because cheap.
  21. i don't think it takes that long but no idea. really depends on if it's USB, USB2 or USB3. I keep all my videos and music on one and it's not that big of a deal to back up, plus there's enough space that I don't need to keep swapping files around, I just keep adding to the library. If you want mine, let me know. All it'd take is the cost of postage and i'll mail it to ya. I have several others so i'm not using this one any more.
  22. i've been looking on craigslist for a cheap sub to toss into my jeep. The sound system in that thing severely lacks due to the sound bar and dash speakers. Unfortunately I haven't found anything cheap enough.
  23. USB work ok? If so I have a crappy ebay one i'll send you for the cost of shipping. I'd guess $2 or so in a bubble mailer. It's like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Generic-2-5-inch-USB-2-0-SATA-HDD-Enclosure-case-Hard-Drive-Disc-External-DX-/261676913141?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3ced28d1f5
  24. This ^ I used to tow with my old bronco II and it did fine. Make sure your brakes are ok and watch your speed. Don't panic stop if it starts to sway on you, just lift off the gas and ride it out.
