No rehab, doctor didn't see the need. Not ruptured, haglunds removal. It was pretty bad and I could hardly walk. Doc was surprised it didn't rupture and he told me it was a race between me coming in for surgery voluntarily and it rupturing.

I have no idea, call and ask. All I know is you need the wheel in the pumpkin for a non tcs and the wheel on the axles (one each side) for a tcs car. Edit: maybe you can press the wheel onto an axle if it doesn't have one already. Someone else might be able to chime in on this.

Yes Trac control is a 4 channel and the relucator wheels are on the axles behind the backing plates, no wheel in the pumpkin. On a non trac they are three channel, the wheel is in the pumpkin.

I'm ~8 weeks out from surgery, and I don't think anything is wrong but 3-4 days ago something happened. Got a very sharp pain while walking and my foot has been severely bruised and swollen since. It came on all of a sudden and basically stopped me in my tracks. I've been taking Advil to help with inflamation and keeping it elevated as much as possible while limiting any and all movement to see if it helps. So far nothing is working. It went from looking and feeling great to looking like it was battered with a ball bat seemingly with that one mis-step.

I had a fake one on my festiva for a while, I got all kind of looks in that car. It was fucking awesome. I put a racing stripe on it with duct tape, right over the grill and window. It was fucking awesome

I have an anchor in my heel for my Achilles tendon, I'm going to have the doc X-ray it when I go in because either it's just agitated or I messed something up.

And a chute

He's been notified by myself and apparently a few others about it.

No harm no foul. I'm a cheap bastard, but when it comes to my eyes I historically have not been until getting burnt by the DO. Now I'm mcds cheap everywhere. :lolguy:

Plan on listing this elsewhere? One of my buddies may be interested but he isn't on here so he can't see the ad.

Now you are making assumptions just as the previous gentleman did. Not once did I ever say I was cheap at the DO. I would typically spend 200-300 for EACH pair of glasses and I always listened to (and often purchased) their recommendations on frames and lenses/coatings/etc. After several bad experiences with their suggestions and in a pinch, I bought from zenni to replace the pair the DO refused to replace. One would think that if you make a recommendation as a professional, and the customer has an issue that you admit was not the customers fault, you would own up to it and make it right. They chose not to. I needed to see, and for $10 or whatever they were at zenni, I got a pair in a pinch. I'm still wearing that pair without issue. I decided to give zenni a second shot and ordered a pair with tinted lenses. That second pair has treated me well in my truck so I decided (for the price) I'd order a few pair of tinted and keep one in each vehicle. I also ordered a second regular pair for if and when my current pair breaks. So far they have yet to be used since pair one has far outlasted what the DO provided.

I get that their are quality differences, I'm not a moron. I deal with quality differences every day and see tiers of quality constantly. I just think it's funny when someone tries to sell a top tier product to someone who doesn't need it. FWIW, the doctor supplied the frames for my RX and had the lenses fitted. How is that MY responsibility? For the several private DOs I've dealt with, I'll stick to zenni. Are they great? No. Is there better? Yes. I'm not going to the Private DOs here when they sell (imho) shit quality products that are comparable to zenni with the only difference being a 10x+ higher price. No offense to the "experts" posting here but I fail to see info that is convincing enough to make me change my mind. When one comes in insinuating and whining more than my 5 year old, I simply can't take them serious. I do thank you Tim (I'm assuming your profile name is correct) for at least attempting to explain it in layman's terms. I get that there are quality differences and the absolute best would be a top tier lens, frame and fitment at a top tier DO. However, when my local DOs all sell zenni quality junk at remarkably higher prices, can you honestly tell me that I would be better off overpaying at the DO? Personally, I'd rather be giving my money to zenni and saving anyway.
-
:lolguy: I get it, you MIGHT get a better quality optic from a DO. How can YOU verify what my DO is selling? For all I know, they get my RX and order from zenni then hand em over after a 10x markup.
-
I don't see the need to pm. Sorry. If it's such good info, post it. Otherwise, I see no need to try and hide behind a veil of secrecy. Also, not once did I ever say zenni was good quality. I've been wearing glasses all my life. I've always gone to a private OD until the last year or so. My eyes haven't changed much in RX the last few years, so why keep shelling out hundreds at the OD? I'm serious. If these zenni lenses are going to ruin my eyes, explain. There is no need to be so secretive.
-
Well, since you know me so well, I'll inform you. I'm the guy that has ALWAYS gone to an independent OD until recently getting screwed. Now after realizing how much mark up these bullshit quality frames and lenses have, I'll take my money to zenni and proudly wear cheap shit. Quality doesn't mean high price. If the item performs it's function properly and can do so at a lower price, why is it inferior? Because you overpaid? Like I said, a timex is fine for me, I don't need a Rolex to tell me when Beer:30 is. I adjust my glasses myself since after going to the OD, they never fit right and always sit crooked. Am I a pro? Hell no. Do they fit after I tweak them and can I see? Yep. Good enough. (I await the excuses here) My OD top tier frames broke while sitting on my dresser. When I took them to my OD, they informed me the lens was incorrectly fitted and the frame failed. Great, the OD should have them replaced right! Nope, I was informed that It was MY responsibility to take up the issue with the place that did the lenses. Guess the OD either didn't want to deal with it, or just thought it would be an easy sale of a 2nd pair. I informed them I'd never be back and then they wanted to make it right. Too late. The rest of your list I don't care about. I can see, that's all that matters. If my lenses get scratched, I'll buy a new pair. If the frames break (which as you say is always the users fault anyway), I'll get a new pair. Now if you are done making accusations and assumptions we can continue with civil conversation. Otherwise take your butthurt somewhere else and spew it on someone who gives a shit. I'll rock my low quality cheap ass glasses all the way to the bank.
-
I'm not in Columbus...... If it's "widely known info" then why not post it for everyone to see. I never said Zenni was GREAT quality. Can I see? Yep. Are they cheap? Yep. Why pay $100+ AFTER insurance at the DO when I can get 10+ pair at Zenni for less and trash them if they break. Christ, everything in society now is throw away cheap from china. So, I'm waiting for a GOOD reason and explanation instead of the usual lazy "you get what you pay for" cop out excuse. As far as I can see it (pun intended), My cheap ass Zenni glasses let me see correctly, have not broken, and were magnitudes cheaper than the "good stuff". Will the cheap ass Zenni lenses make my eyes fall out? Will the frames attack my brains like a zombie? No, so that's reason enough for me to keep doing it this way. FWIW, I don't need a Rolex when a Timex keeps good enough time. This guy gets it ^

I'd like to hear more, because I have gone to a few local optometrists for glasses and I've used the "cheap" zenni as well. My zenni glasses I can still wear, the others had to be discarded because they came apart. My local optometrist charged me $110 for my "quality name brand" glasses, not including the exam and the frames failed within 6 months. I took them back and was told there was nothing they could do, I'd have to buy another pair. My zenni glasses were $7 and usps mangled them. Zenni replaced them free of charge. I have 7 pair of zenni glasses around because they cost so little compared to the optometrists "name brand" that I figured I could have spares for when these cheap ones break. Well, I'm still on pair one and I treat these terribly compared to the name brand ones. I'll be buying from zenni from now on and local places can take their name brand shit and pound sand.

No idea, plus I think it varies by area.

I use zenni a bunch and am contemplating dropping my vision coverage on my health insurance. All I basically use it for any more is the exam and I go to zenni for glasses. I need to look and see what my premium and copay is, then decide if its worth keeping or just drop it and get a cheap script from somewhere like Walmart.
-
Walmart or some other cheap vision place to get the script then online?
-
Hell, now most don't even want to go to school. They want everything online or delivered to them. Nobody wants to work or EARN a damn living any more. No wonder China is kicking our ass. They are what we used to be.
