  5. DAMN. i've heard STS kits are kinda laggy when do you reach full boost if you don'y mind me asking. it's obviously lower then your next gear shift (however you word that) cuz your car jumps hard everytime you shift.
  6. for autobahn or mid ohio? if you wanna do autobahn i'll split a hotel with ya. the next autobahn is august 3. as far as the classes are concerned is a track day considered a day or the entire weekend? i've been to mid ohio 4 or 5 full weekends and ive been to putnam and nelson ledges all with NASA. is that still the novice class?

  9. i know i know i used to be good at getting them up asap but theres to much shit to do lately and my windows movie maker is glitching it wont let me watch a clip without dragging it to the bottom anymore and it takes 10 times longer to clip the scenes. and it wont let me input any audio except really old stuff WTF, and while i'm at it i hate the way itunes keeps track of files.

  13. how old is your house? is there a larger then normal gap between the floor and the bottom of the door? whats the fastest way to get air threw a bathroom? A) door open fan on B) door open window open C) window open fan on D) door closed window closed fan on E) ok there are alot of options the answer is D door closed window closed fan on and the properly sized gap at the bottom of the door. it's kinda like an engine you want the air coming in to match the air going out.

  18. all that makes perfect sence it just seemed to me that it wouldn't have taken a whole lot of money to fix such a big problem and i say again the problem we are refering to is not what blew the motor. I posted about the IAT temps to clarify for others the differences in Expected IATs between NA and boosted cars and i think i'm being misunderstood i didn't wright that very well and my intentions and reason for posting what i did have been overlooked. i have nothing against IPS i have nothing against ericZ06 i have gotten several texts about what IPS did to erics car or what they are going to do about fixing it i was simply trying to clarify how one problem did not lead to another. i could have said IPS sucks don't go there but i thought it best to post the truth.

I logged Eric’s car briefly about 200 yards if that IAT temps 160-195F 4 deg of knock max timing at WOT 10 degrees I don’t know why certain things were done or what eric was told all i can say is what i saw on EFILive and that i saw the filter behind the radiator. It seems as though your heads are on it and u would want the best results possible. There is a lot of room in there and several ways to fix the problem. Putting it there to test is one thing but to let your customer leave with it and drive hard is another. As far as performance you know as well as I do the high intake temps under boost are more acceptable then with an N/A car due to the oxygen content. And these temps are measured after the air is compressed. We all know we want them lower and do what we can to get them there. It’s hard to believe a shop would let a car go with their name on it that’s down about 50HP and is not as safe as it could be. You said how many true race cars run a MAF as a reason for other people not to run one but think how many NA race cars run 200 degree IAT temps …none. I think 2 different conversations are going on in this thread. As far as the engine blowing we are NOT blaming the IAT's or more to the point the intake install by IPS. yes we know some cars run high IAT's and yes we know the computer adjusts for them. As far as I know things are sorted out and everything is good.
