I sold my snes and N64 but figured I can get it all back now before it really all starts to get super rare.

Luckily as I buy games on ebay and such I use my ebay bucks toward the expensive games, lowering the price to more reasonable amounts. I just spend 20 here and there and go to local game stores to see what they have. Just fun to rummage through the cartridges and pop something in and play it for a few hours.

Yea it's on my list to grab and there still out there but they sell for 50-75

I have always wanted to set up a gaming center for all my old school gaming systems that I have had since I was a kid, just recently picked up a SNES and been buying a bunch of N64 games and need to start on SNES. Going to get a flash cartridge for the SNES and NES so I dont have to buy as many games, but still buying N64 cartridges as its my favorite system. We have a few testing it as well, they first just were going to roll out win 7 but nothing worked at all so they are going to I-space. I just wish they would fix what they have one of my programs have and obvious memory leak and within 4 hrs I am using 3 gigs of RAM for one session.

We just got rid of IE 6 :/ now we at least have IE 8

Hmm strange, I got mine to just open to a blank page, hasnt changed in a long time either.

I use firefox all the time at chase and we primarily use IE which sucks

So one of my drives is not booting and I think it might have some sector errors or read errors as it wont boot into windows nor show up in windows when put as a slave drive. It shows up in the BIOS and SMART says its ok and shows the correct size but wont do much else as the read light will constantly stay on when going into windows with the drive. So I am trying to get a ubuntu installation going to see if i can run ddrescue and grab as much data as I can. Now I am new to the whole thing so anyone have any experience that might help me along? or suggestions?

Its a great tool depending on what you are using it for. I would say snag the LCD anyways as you never know when you might need it. It sucks the battery up so only use it when needed though.

I have around 10 fans in my storm trooper case. Might also try to take out all the ram and see if you get any beep errors at all. If none then the motherboard might be done.

I am working on a new gaming PC, currently have a C2D and a 9800 GT and looking to build a whole new system seeing as how my carpc is now faster than my home PC. I was looking at a 660Ti but was wondering if I should go the ATI route. I dont want to spend a ton but looking to stay around 250-300 i guess. Any suggestions?

I have to leave for work here in a bit and in Polaris there is quite a bit on the ground. Gotta dig the honda out of the garage since they plowed snow right up against it. Not sure if its 4 inches of ground clearance will even make it out

Pretty much spot on, I like the actual systems that I have had since I was a kid. I have used emulators its just not the same as looking though all the cartridges, blowing on them, and flipping on the on switch and just turning your mind off for a bit. I just like collecting all the old games as well. Sure it costs a lot but can be enjoyed all the time. I have spent time collecting the games I want and getting a nice CRT tv. Just a hobby and a way to kick back
