JP, you need to update your sig!

Hmm, what mods are done to it? I only noticed the exhaust. It might be a good car for me to test drive, since I'd probably a modify a stock car slightly. Also, I'm pretty sure it was listed for like $38K last week,

Looks great!

Any locals with a C6 Z06 (stock or slightly modded) want to do a meet and greet + mild test drive? I can offer up a 996TT, in exchange. I keep looking at C6 Z06s on Craigslist, Autotrader, Bring A Trailer, etc, but I've actually never driven one. I'm unsure if I'd actually fit in the vehicle properly or like the ergonomics. Example - I used to be a big fan of the 03-04 Terminator SVT Mustang Cobra, then I drove one and knew instantly that I would never buy/own one within minutes. That car was not made for me and was just silly. If not, I'll probably setup an appt at a local dealership. Maybe even this car, next weekend -- https://www.bobbylaymancars.net/VehicleDetails/used-2009-Chevrolet-Corvette-Z06_1LZ-Carroll-OH/3157231973 OR I'm stopping by JP's house, eating his kids leftover Easter candy, and doing burnouts in a cul de sac of his housing development.

Is this where I go to find out how to spend $5K on a $5K Fox Body? Subscribed. Seriously, I've spent more hours randomly searching for a clean fox on the internets than I'd like to admit.

For someone that doesn't own a coffee maker, has 3 cars without cupholders from the factory, and has a rule about no food/beverages being consumed in the fun C&C cars... I miss Cup O Joe, but it's not a deal breaker. I'll still show up and troll the local car enthusiast scene.

I'm an ex drag racer that occasionally does Auto X now. I'm not a dickhead, I'm just antisocial.

To answer the original post -- Make extra principle payments. Literally double your payment, if you can ($1600 --> $3200 month). If you have an extra $1600 a month going towards only your principle, it's incredible and pretty easy to see how quickly you'll chip away at your mortgage. +$19.2K will be knocked off your mortgage, in just a year by those extra principal payments in addition to the small amount of principal with just your typical payment
-
Risk is the issue. By eliminating your mortgage, you can GUARANTEE that you will not have that ~4% loss, year after year, that you pay into every year while the bank still owns your house. I feel that it's easy, especially in hindsight, to pick any stock, crypto currency, or the even the average S&P return for the last 90 years and say that you can do better than your mortgage rate. There is still risk by investing and no one will guarantee you a return. 1) I don't believe that people have the true discipline to invest the same money that they would have used to pay down their house. 2) I don't believe that people, once invested and seeing power of compounding gains/interest and their money grow, have the will power and focus to not spend the money elsewhere (cars, toys, shiny things, etc) versus paying down their original mortgage debt which they were trying to outpace. 3) Debt is the modern day slavery

dang, missed out on the turbo... was it a clipped TD05H turbine wheel?

Interested in 4G63 Colts that are capable of hitting +200mph, must be proven by video and GPS
-
Very interested in it as a car enthusiast, but probably not to own. Although a Turbo LS or Turbo Fox has been on my mind lately
-
Somebody buy this before I put straight pipes on it and Crossle convinces me to upgrade all the suspension bits and bring it to Mid Ohio. :marc:
-
Yes. It is still available. I have not been actively selling, listing as I've been out of town frequently. Also, correction to a previous post that I made. I recently had the car on lift for a brake fluid flush and spun a rear wheel. Both rear wheels spun in the same direction, so I do believe the upgraded EVOMS close-ratio transmission has an LSD.

Steve, use 996 + Exocet Sale moneys, no problem! JP, I bought it from Paul 5 years ago. Miller, I like Fox Body Mustangs, as much as everyone else. Guilty of clicking on the LS3 swapped 87. I've looked at comps and I'm in the middle of the pack based on condition and mods. Mileage is higher because Porsche owners don't drive their cars, including myself, however I chose this car over several 20-40K miles cars because it was cleaner and drove significantly better. Clay, let's get Rita's in The Baron tonight. Rym3rc, (Corrected on 10/16 ) I recently had the car on lift for a brake fluid flush and spun a rear wheel. Both rear wheels spun in the same direction, so I do believe the upgraded EVOMS close-ratio transmission has an LSD. Panduh, I've added about 17 pictures that I just took yesterday, unfiltered to the previously supplied FB link Thanks!

I guess no one is interested, since this is not a Fox Body Mustang....
