  1. I'll bet an icecream sundae on the fact that I can sling my 1 ton dually around corners faster than your "sports car." AND it'll fit your massive ego in the bed. Jack of all trades!!! What now, bruh?
  2. ^^^ My understanding is that the lower prices aren't necessarily due to lower quality but rather simpler, sometimes out-dated parts and production. For example, the base model Jetta has drum brakes in the rear. The TDI models tend to be on par with the more "sportier" gasoline models and therefore come with all the ammenities that you would expect out of a modern motor carriage. The price difference between them and the very basic base models reflects that. Disclaimer: I could be completely wrong on that though.

One question for you my man... do you know "Prison Mike?" http://www.bestweekever.tv/bwe/images/2008/05/PRISON%20MIKE%20MEETS%20RYAN.jpg
  4. <----- Enjoys PBR. It wasn't until recently that I heard PBR was a new "trendy" thing. I started drinking it at the bar because it was cheap. Yuengling is my choice of beer with dinner though.

    open carry

I guess I'm a little behind the times here since I live in NC and am currently deployed, but when did open carry start in Ohio? Also, does anyone have a link to the actual law that allows it? Thanks. I visit my parents quite frequently when on leave and such, and although I plan on getting a CCW, I haven't had the opportunity just yet. I'd still prefer to open carry even if I had a CCW though. It really is sad that firearms are so feared by today's society that someone (typically a law abiding citizen) simply in possession of one gets the evil eye.
  6. Sounds to me like the reporter needs to get all the facts before writing a damn story.
  7. Classic hypothetical shop debate right here. Yep, this thread delivers. I suppose you have a problem with Robin Hood's morals as well, hmmm?
  8. That would be uber shitty if Jesus walked in on your Rapture Party while you're midway down a line of coke that's strategically placed on a stripper's ass.
  9. I own a rat rod (yes, I'm proud of the term) and that camaro.. is not a rat rod.
  10. ^^^ Agreed. Teach them the basic safety rules and give them the opportunity to shoot them in a controlled and safe environment as much as they want. The more time they spend around them and handling them, the more respect they will have for the damage that they can cause. Also, by giving them all the exposure that they're interested in, you take away the desire to want to "play" with them when no one is around. Keeping ammo seperate and inaccessible will also help to ensure that no accidents occur.
  11. I have pretty much refused to ride with my wife unless I'm passed out drunk because of this. She cruises in the left lane like its paved in gold or something, and no matter how many times I tell her to "get the fuck over" she still does it. Fortunately, I enjoy driving while we're on road trips, so it doesn't come up very often any more.
  12. Yep.. Destin is a good time. Niceville (right across the bay from Destin) is practically a retirement community. Everything closes at 8pm, but its super nice, quiet, and just a short drive across the bridge from Destin.
  13. Just finished watching season 3 of Breaking Bad, so yeah... diappointed in this thread as well. Lol...
  14. I've been away from Ohio for about 7 years now and honestly, I really miss it. I don't really have plans on coming back (other than to visit) any time soon, but I'd like to move back when I retire. On a side note, the 8 months that I was in Florida was a blast though. I'd definitely move back there given the opportunity.
  15. Check out this forum: http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php There are always a few full-up bikes and projects for sale on there. Also, the Triumph Thruxton is good out-of-the-box cafe racer. They use modern technology while still achieving the classic look.
  16. Waiting for the U.S. to call in their hitman for hire... Israel.
  17. Not sure how many Marines we have here, or any military for that matter, but I did a search and didn't see this anywhere on CR. Its good, tongue-in-cheek humor that might be over some peoples' heads, but really casts a light on certain parts of the "real" Marine Corps and our sense of humor. Enjoy... http://terminallance.com/
  18. I wish this had come up sooner. It spent the first month of this deployment growing what little moustache I could. It looked pretty disgusting by the time I shaved it, lol. I might give it another go this month, hmmmm....
  19. Pretty freakin sweet. Unfortuantely, we're currently fighting the Taliban (or at least that's who's trying to kill me). Al-Qaeda is old news yo...
  20. Because it beat out the CTS-V Coupe and RS5 in a Car and Driver comparison. Say what you will, but the M3 and M5 are some of the most coveted "performance" cars by most expert reviewers. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/comparisons/10q3/2011_audi_rs5_vs._2010_bmw_m3_2011_cadillac_cts-v-comparison_tests Would I buy one though? Probably not, I like Audi's styling more. But I'd certainly take it for a test drive and give it the benefit of the doubt if I found myself in this same situation.
  21. Just to be different and suggest some stuff outside the norm... ever consider an M3 or M6? What about the Audi RS5 that is supposedly coming to the states?
  22. Those of us in Afghanistan don't really have much of a choice. I'll still respond to IED calls regardless of how much is in my checking account.
  23. He never said that he'd be renting to other college students. In that type of situation, I'd say that you could probably pick and choose who your tenants would be, ultimately reducing risks like late payments and damages. I've been living in a Marine town (Jacksonville, NC) for about 4 years now and we see this sort of thing all the time. One Marine will rent or buy a house, and fill the other rooms up with his friends, making a small profit in the long run. A multi-plex would be even better, simply because they'd all be seperate and you wouldn't have to interact with the other tenants if you didn't want to. This is something that you can't avoid if just renting out rooms in a house.
