My wife currently has an '09 Silverado with the V6 (horrible choice of DD) that we will be looking to trade in within the next 6 months. I was hoping you all could make some suggestions as to what we should look at and/or consider. Here's the requirements: -No more than 5 years old -Under $25k -Less than 30k miles -MPG around 28, preferably better -FWD or AWD -Preferably four dours but coupes will be considered as well -She does not like wagons or hatchbacks If I think of anything else, I'll add it. Not bad. My old roommate and I bought a pool table for our kitchen (its a big kitchen) and although it was fun for awhile and got plenty of use, looking back on it now I would've invested in a ping pong table. Waaaayyy easier to move and setup than a pool table. And... ping pong is just downnright addictive.

Still no clue. My current job allows me to do some pretty cool shit that 99% of people will never have the opportunity to do, but I don't necessarily see myself doing this forever. The direction this thread took is pretty funny. I probably wouldn't have called the cops though (just not a big fan of them). If some kids want to hangout in a car on the street that's fine with me. However, if they bring that party onto my property, well... I keep a pistol and shotgun handy specifically for situations like that (my wife usually grabs the pistol). There's no reason to be paranoid, just prepared. Also, until they ACTUALLY stick their nose into your business, leave them the fuck alone.

It also mentions a mid-engine setup. This steers radically away fromt the Corvette heritage, but in all honesty with this "rumored" setup, to include the small displacement turbo V8, it would put the Corvette more on par with super cars rather than keeping it a simple "sports car." GM has absolutely been successful with the current LSx line of engines and platforms, however, I think they are looking further towards the future than people think. With the old, crotchety baby boomers dying off within the next decade or less (taking with them their disposable incomes and love for "muscle") I think the big domestics are going to take a hit in regards to the sales of those cars typically bought and driven by fan boys and gear heads. In fact, the classic car industry as a whole could potentially notice a significant decline in the values of "era correct" and "matching number" American classics simply based off of a lose in demand. GM (and the others) will need to design and produce vehicles (even the top notch ones) to appeal to the masses rather than a limited collection of enthusiasts.

Cody... I've never met you, but from what I've gathered from this thread and your self-titled thread, chances are I won't like you. In fact, if you were playing in the street I would make little to no attempt to avoid you. Trust me when I say this, change your personnality, and grow up. I was 18 when I joined CR and was disliked by quite a few folks around here. I have since changed, and although I don't frequent columbus very often anymore, I'm confident that I would be more than welcome at any CR functions. Even my taste in cars has evolved and matured over those years. Hopefully your taste in what behavior is appropriate or inappropriate matures as well. Good luck to you.

My HP crashed a few months ago. I took it to Geek Squad at Best Buy (that's where I bought it) and they made all the necessary fixes for free. No warranty, no protection plan, etc. It was a product that they sold and therefore stood behind. I expect any company selling any consumer product to do the same, and bottom line... most do. They just don't advertise it like Apple does, because honestly they shouldn't need to.

I actually enjoy the quiet areas like Emerald Isle and Topsail Island. They certainly aren't "touristy" like Myrtle, but if all you're looking for is a relaxing time near the beach, where the kids can play to their hearts' content, then a beach house on either of those islands is the place to go. I take that sort of stuff for granted a lot of times though since I've lived within 20 minutes of Topsail for the last 5 years.

I currently have a full year's salary sitting in savings. I remember living pay check to pay check when I was a 18, 19, and 20 years old. Never gonna live that way again.
