  1. I guess when you don't fight many wars, you have the time to sit around dissambling old jeeps. Cool nonetheless...
  2. Raw dog some randoms. Oh, and all that other shit about hitting the gym and what not.

Thanks man. A few other questions... Should I go ahead and buy tickets or wait? Will prices come down a bit over the next month? We're looking at going to the game against Indiana since its over the Columbus Day holiday weekend. I was hoping I'd be free for the Michigan game, but unfortunately I'll be in Cali for most of November and December. Also, has anyone sat in Deck 25AA? http://www.stubhub.com/ohio-state-football-tickets/ohio-state-vs-indiana-10-9-2010-912009/ Is there a pretty good view, how close are the beer vendors, and is the crowd in this area usually pretty energetic?

Rather than starting a new thread, I figured I'd ask this here. The g/f and I are planning on taking some leave next month to come see our first home game. I was just wondering what advice you guys had as far as where to sit, parking, where to get tickets, etc? Thanks guys.
  5. A chick I work with has a C6 Z06. She totes her kid around in it in a car seat. She also carries the NC law on what you can and can't put a child seat in. Just in case...
  6. I only play on PS3 and I haven't noticed any hacking. Granted, I'm not exactly looking for it. And I'm not good enough to tell between me legitimately getting owned and someone cheating.
  7. I sweat like a pig if I put too much pepper on my food. I'm always down for eating radioactive chicken wings though.
  8. Probably because they're diseased. This could also explain why she's forcing them to swim down stream towards their rival village. FYI, dogs aren't an entirely domesticated species of animals. Just ask the folks on here that have had the oppurtunity of touring the Middle East.

  10. Sweet car. Looked at these a couple years ago. To bad you weren't selling then. And I haven't been on the 555 in years. Might have to take the long way on my next trip home.
  11. Will there be a Nazi Zombies.... or equivalent?
  12. Check this page out: http://www.intellexual.net/hid.html It's a lot of reading, but there's also a lot of info packed in there. Especially the glare/no glare section.
  13. IEDs coupled with complex ambushes sure seems like combat to me. Peace keeping is what cops do. Our military is actively seeking out terrorists and killing them, not writing tickets for misconduct.
  14. I was an E-4 / E-5 on my last deployment, and thought I was doing pretty well. I didn't see my junior Marines complaining either. Especially when they got back to the states and bought $40,000+ cars. The pay may not be millions over there, but it certainly isn't anything to scoff at.
  15. I'm more interested in what he has planned for the rest of it.
  16. The best training for combat, is combat itself.
  17. They need to bring back the Delta S4.
  18. I went a good solid month or more after arriving in Iraq. It was the dry season, which meant no water shipments from Jordan or Syria. We were short enough on bottled water that they didn't let anyone use those for anything other than drinking.
  19. I can't say that I'm a fan of either. Looking for something older than a '94. Still, thanks for the interest guys. My roommate with the '69 Dodge Dart has spent the entire day trying to justify me keeping it. Bouncing around ideas of taking the engine back to fuel injection and twin turboing it. Still undecided on my part though. We'll see what the future holds...
  20. I actually just bought a 2008 F350 Powerstroke. Not hugely into Corvettes, but I'll consider it anyways. Shoot me a PM with details, pics, etc. Also, here's some additional info that I failed to include in the original post... It does not, I repeat, DOES NOT have a title. I registered it in Georgia due to how laxed their laws are in regards to "antique" vehicles. This will obviously make it relatively difficult when registering it in Ohio (Highway Patrol inspection, etc.). After all, it was pretty much built piece by piece. Again, thanks to those that are interested.
  21. I'm sure many of you remember the car from this thread: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81056 Anyways, here's the back story... I registered the car in Georgia and on base here in NC around April and have been driving it off and on ever since. Today, however, while eating at a pizza joint on base for lunch, some gentlemen from the base Safety Office advised me that the car didn't abide by base regulations in regards to certain equipment (or lack there of). They proceeded to call the Provost Marshalls Office (PMO/Military Police) who escorted me off base and scraped the base decal from my windshield. I spent the rest of the afternoon researching the base regulations as well as NC and GA's regulations. I found that because its registered as an actual 1928, it is exempt from many regulations that normally would apply, however, when it comes to base regulations (set by the Commanding Officer) they are in black and white with very little wiggle room. Technically it isn't 100% street legal (how many street/rat rods actually are, right?), and so I'm not going to do a whole lot of arguing with it. This brings me to the sale. I've put a lot of time, money, and effort into it, and have had a blast doing so. I could go ahead and do the work to install things like a full exhaust with mufflers, license plate lights, turn signals, seat belts, etc., but I feel that these things would detract from the nature of the vehicle (a bare-bones rat rod). Chances are I could most likely continue to drive it off base without any repercussions, but honestly that isn't the point. I'd like to drive it to and from work, and where ever else I please, but per base regulations that simply isn't going to be possible. I don't want to blow smoke up anyone's ass and make it out to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. Its a genuine, hand built vehicle, so any interested buyers need to keep that in mind. It has its fair share of leaks, vibrations, noises, and mechanical defects. I don't believe any of these issues are unfixable or out of the realm of the individuals on this board to remedy. I'm more than willing to answer any questions that I can and will provide as many pictures as necessary. Here's the list... The body is an original '28 Model A that has been chopped and channeled 5 inches. Its been shortened a few inches as well. The frame is hand built. Currently its running a carbureted Chevy 5.3L V8 w/ automatic transmission, both of which came out of a 2005-ish Tahoe. The wiring is a little rough, pretty much exactly what you would expect from a home built vehicle. We just installed a new TCI flexplate and MSD starter yesterday so it fires right up. The carburetor could probably use a tune or rebuild, it does studder a bit when you first get on the throttle. It idles nicely once its warmed up though. If you're interesting in a rat rod/street rod/project car, but don't have the time or ability to start from scratch, than this is perfect. I want to pass it on to someone else for the reasons listed above. In conclusion... I'm asking $12,500 OBO for it, but honestly I'm more interested in trading. I'll consider just about anything. If its old, cool, and in good condition send it my way. Examples include 454 Chevelle, Datsun 510, Delorean, etc. The list is pretty much endless and just as diverse. I'm in eastern NC and more than willing to trailer it up to Ohio. Any comments, suggestions, etc. are welcome. Thanks guys. http://i342.photobucket.com/albums/o425/leerbowden/Rat%20Rod/DSC_0754.jpg
  22. Pretty fucking sweet. I've always had a sweet spot for SHO's... the old ones anyways. How much did you pay for it, if you don't mind me asking?
  23. The prison system doesn't look at itself as "a form or punishment" for wrong doings. Hence the reason why the guards official title is "Correctional Officer." The prison system is designed to take individuals who have violated the well being of society and "make" them into better people. Does it always happen? Absolutely not. And of course there are always those individuals that are impossible to turn around. My point is, what good does it do if all you're doing is shunning these people away from society? Eventually they'll be out amongst the good, law abiding citizens again, in which case, they'll be expected to interact in a healthy manner.
