I've also had several problems with usps slow delivery/no delivery. UPS has been 100% trouble free for somewhere north of 200 parts shipping deals.

Assuming the rest of the car was maintained like the leather I would say no, $4500 maybe. If it's actually solid aside from the seats then yes, $6k is reasonable.

Yes, most cars with power steering will puke fluid from the reservoir if you cycle the steering enough times without the engine running. -

Previous owner could have dumped trans fluid into the brake reservoir to seal a leaking master cylinder. It works because of the aforementioned rubber swelling. I've heard of people dumping oil into a clutch fluid reservoir to get through a race weekend... swells the seals enough to make the system work again briefly.
