  1. Interested in trades up or down: - metal fabrication equipment - especially a welding table, rotary or belt sander - tow vehicle - astro van, e150 etc
  2. No reply from the seller yet, I presume he's passing my info along to the department of homeland security
  3. Ninja edited my OP for increased clarity.
  4. I'm always amused by craigslist sellers who feel the need to ward off potential scammers, I decided to have a poke at one such paranoid poster. Here's the ad: http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/1676236263.html My friendly email to the internet savy seller: Hi, I'm interested in trading a scam for your e36, I know you mentioned in the ad that you were not interested in scams but mine is a particularly juicy and interesting one. thanks in advance Anson
  5. Bumpling, someone needs an s52.
  6. I'm not sure, I know mopeds require no license, scooters I believe do require an M endorsement. Get your purple on.
  7. Fo realz yo. http://www.famouspictures.org/images/f/f0/Icy_hot_Stuntaz.jpg
  8. Raisin bran crunch, taking the crunch to a whole level.
  9. I'll be up after work on Friday to socialize, running in the slow group on Saturday/Sunday. Here's the car at the time of purchase, it's not nearly as filthy or reverse raked anymore but I don't have any current pictures. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2647/4113295850_9fa605a0da_b.jpg
  10. Have someone operate the starter while you blast a healthy dose of carb cleaner/starter fluid into the intake. That will eliminate or confirm fuel system problems.
  11. Quick check for head gasket leak: Start car with cold engine, within 30 seconds remove radiator/expansion tank cap, if pressure then damaged head gasket.
  12. That's a fine idea Steve, needs knobby tires to make it worth the effort though.
  13. Returned your pm and left voice mail.
  14. To clarify, the car was running immediately before the battery was changed? If a fully charged battery does not solve the problem have him look at all of the wiring starting at the battery terminals. That car should also have a fusible link hidden near the battery.
  15. It would be a pretty rough commuter car, rough ride, tons of wind noise/vibration/general discomfort. Doing a proper greasel setup takes a fair amount of cash or a bunch of time, just throwing roughly filtered grease in the tank will result in untold problems. You may get away with it for a while but it will eventually bugger something/things up. Veg oil is also incredibly messy and difficult to clean up, it eats most rubber and smells terrible. Having said all that, lowball the guy, turn up the injection pump and have some fun with the thing for a few months.
  16. Holding out for an engine buyer for sure, keeping the thing drivable should go a long way towards setting a potential engine buyer at ease about the high miles.
  17. Found a set at pick n pull, joy and breasts.
  18. I've tried the Wagners on two cars, good results under normal street driving, I would expect them to work fine for your application.
  19. - salvage title + high miles would make resale value incredibly low - previous body work on the car has started to rust through in several places - rear quarters are compressed and would require a bunch of work to restore Short answer, it's worth a lot more in pieces.
  20. I actually do have a good passenger fog - $25
  21. Bob Barker on the price, hell yes. If it measures less than 36" between the mounting points I can probably use it.
  22. Normally I would agree with you, new cables > messing around with used junk. Unfortunately I'm working under a $2010 budget cap (GRM challenge car) so I have to be a complete cheapass. I'm hitting pick'n'pull tomorrow for my yearly dose of filth and tetanus.
