  1. It'll be good to see Jordan's stupid ass again. smile.gif
  2. If I planned on moving for life to some other country with a different primary language, I would be learning it. I talk with plenty of foreigners that speak perfect English or at least good enough that I don't have to guess what they're asking. But a guy came into my work today to get a flat tire repaired and I literally had no idea what he was asking for the first 2 minutes I was talking with him and looking over his paperwork. Finally I heard the word "air" and realized what he needed then spent another minute trying to figure out which tire on the vehicle. Had he known English, a simple "Flat tire, passenger front" would be an easy 5-second command. I don't hate any race, nor do I really hate people that can't speak english well. But it is annoying and I definitely think they should learn it. And if I had to deal with numerous non-english speakers on a daily basis, it would get extremely frustrating. I think if they want to be part of our country, learn part of our country. No, the U.S. has no official language. But it does have a primary language, as does every other country on Earth. And that's English. Know it.
  3. 20% chance right now. I'm definitely in, Jason is riding shotgun. Can still fit two more in the back if necessary. Don't worry, there's enough room.
  4. I've always been able to do shit like this for some reason. It's the same "technique" you use for Henry's Magic Eye and shit. Cross your eyes so you see four images. Slowly uncross your eyes until the two inner images become 1, leaving three total images. You then have to focus on the middle image, but keep your eyes EXACTLY at that point. Letting your eyes uncross too much will give you the two original images just blurred, and crossing them too much will continue to give you 4. You'll know when you have it perfect if you simply see three exact images right next to each (no space in between them). Focus hard on the middle image while keeping them in that same "formation" and the middle image should jump out a bit.
  5. Awesome, but tough as fuck. 36100 so far.
  6. www.tirerack.com I've made it through two winters in my car with all-seasons on them and I had no more trouble with them than you would expect in a 500hp RWD vehicle. I'm trying to decide between the Continental ContiExtreme Contacts (which I have two of on my car right now) and the new Pirelli Nero. Those are the two best rated across the board for my tire size. Looking at the 245/45R17's, those two are also your best bet. The Michelin Pilot A/S's are good, but a little pricey.
  7. Two blindfolded women in a threesome with some guy. Guy apparantly mentions the name of the younger of the two women, the older woman freaks out, pulls off her blindfold and the younger woman's blindfold, younger woman screams "MOM!"
  8. I'd hate to lose either of my dogs. One of my dogs used to have seizures quite frequently, and she's been on pills ever since. Sorry about your loss, man.
  9. Apparently. Doesn't really matter, though. Everyone has their off days. Their CD is awesome, first CD I've been able to like every song on. And why would you feel bad for me, Alex? Show me ANY Metallica song where James comes anywhere NEAR close to the vocals in "Simple Man", "45", or "Fly From The Inside" and you'll make me a Metallica fan.
  10. 1. Had I been paying attention, I would've realized who you were and would have left off my last sentence. 2. I didn't come close to "owning" myself. I referred to nothing about rear-ends and suspensions. But anyways, a solid axle vs. an IRS has absolutely NO bearing in a roll race. And the only reason it means anything in a dig is because IRS suspensions are prone to experience wheelhop. Plus, a manual transmission car launching at 5500rpms vs. an automatic launching at 3500rpms is going to win everytime, providing similar power/weight ratios. Automatics are usually "drag cars" because they're more consistent and easier to control at higher power levels. 3. I seriously doubt Anthony went into neutral in any of those runs. 4. Anthony has more hp and torque than I do and slightly less weight, so for all intense purposes, he should've beat me in that first run. He didn't because he had no traction. You can clearly see his back end swing out. That's not a transmission issue or poor driving, just simply poor traction. 5. I've been to the track quite enough in both of my Cobras, both from different perspectives. The '01 bested a 12.63@108 with a 1.7 60', while my '03 bested a 12.04@118 with a 1.9 60'. There is no discrepancy between strip numbers involving slicks and street tires. That's all science and math. Quite simply, with adequate traction, Anthony's car would beat mine from a roll and probably John's too if he didn't spray. Brett, on the other hand, I have no idea how fast he is, but he looked pretty damn quick.
  11. Metallica, based on talent alone, is probably one of the best bands ever. But talent doesn't mean you make good music (yes, everyone has different tastes as far as what would be considered good music). I, for one, prefer the vocal aspect of music. And while James isn't a bad singer at all, he's far from the best. My favorite bands are the ones with the best singers. Hoobastank, Linkin Park, Shinedown, Ra, etc. are, imo, FAR better to listen to because their singers blow James out of the water. The one major thing I don't like about Metallica from a musical perspective how EVERY song of theirs is drawn out way too damn long. 90% of the songs I've heard (which isn't a whole lot, but enough) have an intro that's over a minute long before one single word is spoken/sung. That's terrible. Solos, while many of them are cool and hard to do, just turn a 4 minute song into a 7 minute song. Their talent is amazing, but how they use it isn't. My $.02.
  12. Drag cars are built for dragging, but MOST people don't drive slicks on public streets. Drag cars are gonna have terrible street traction, dig or roll because they're on street tires. This is why you'll notice Anthony referring to Norwalk as a time to race him because he won't experience those same problems. It's nearly impossible to have poor driving in an automatic, and his car isn't slower than mine. He's trapped just as high as I have in the 1/4 with traction. Traction and ONLY traction was the reason he wasn't keeping up with me at least. John's Cobra, depending on spray usage, will beat us both. Anthony knows all about time and money into vehicles. He didn't "call us out", it was a mutual agreement to race. Type of transmission has nothing to do with what your car is better at. I had a 2001 Cobra that was 10x better from a dig than from a roll - at the track. Launching at 6000rpms is quite a thrill, you might wanna try it sometime before you talk about the differences between drag cars, street cars, drag racing and roll racing. Thanks.
  13. Brett was looking awfully quick in that vid. I think Brett, John and I should do a nice 3 way WITHOUT cockblocking Chevy's (or any other manufacturer) tongue.gif
  14. I'll gladly take a passenger(s). Believe it or not, there is enough room in the back so your legs won't fall off by the time we get there.
  15. CobraKevin

    Hungry?

I....can't believe I just sat through that whole thing...dear god.
  16. 3rd Place - Roughly 48 seconds... 2nd Place - Roughly 35 seconds... and the winner goes to: 1st Place - 1:15!!!!! If you're going down, take the toaster with ya. tongue.gif
  17. Oldest shit...but interesting none the less.
  18. and has no right to complain about the government at all. [/QB] To quote the greatest comedian ever: "Where's the logic in that? If you vote and elect an idiot into office who screws everything up, you have no right to complain because you were the one who put that person into office. I, on the other hand, who did not vote, who did not even leave the house on election day, have every right to complain about the mess you created that I had nothing to do with." Seriously, though, no matter who gets elected, someone won't like them. No president will be able to please everyone and that's the way it will always be. One president will do this to help these people and another president with do that to help those people, so it's a toss up. I still haven't decided if I'm going to vote or not.
  19. The 9th should work for me.
