  1. Gotta go with the guy who put up the picture showing the rear looking like an 01-06 elantra gt hatchback
  2. 2 different cars...first one my buddy installed a cam gear and fucked up the timing and bent the valves... second one was nuts...completely stock, 63k miles, driving to work (had already driven 17 of 18 miles of my total drive. ), at the light on schrock in front of roush hardware, light turned green, got to about 3k rpms and a rod snapped and punched holes in the front and rear of the block. I had even had the dealership change the timing belt when I bought the car at 59k because it was supposed to be done at 60 per the maintenance schedule. the oil was fresh, car was running just fine, no problems or indications of a problem leading up to it. It was just a freak occurence
  3. all foreign auto parts or LKQ...you can even wheel and deal with LKQ...for my elantra, i bought an engine off them for $350, and for my next one a couple years later they wanted $700 for one with more miles than the previous one...i basically said "fuck no, thats double what you guys were charging 2 years ago for a higher mileage engine"...the guy made a comment about "yeah, but they're more in demand though"...i told him "apparently not, because you have almost a dozen in your system right there that i can see" (i was at the hub in blacklick)...he said he could do $400 on it, which was the same price all foreign said from the beginning...my business went to AF, mainly because they offered the better price in the beginning, plus, they gave me like a 90 day (IIRC, may have only been 30) warranty on the engine.
  4. i would have given him $20 worth of hydrashocks.
  5. No Strings Attached 7/10. Some freakin hilarious parts (opening scene cracked me up just from the "did that really just happen" aspect), plus natalie portman is SMOKING hot. i would give this a higher score if she got nekkid. my imagination just wasn't good enough for it. haha i will probably buy it on DVD (used) once its been out for a little while.
  6. Ouch on that price, but if youre happy with it, thats all that matters
  7. haha...sorry. i did find that you have to deduct any refunds you got...made sense, being that i probably wouldnt claim 2900 if i got 1200 back...i only deducted the refund though...didnt deduct the $400 from the title company since i just went and put it back into my escrow account where it should have been to begin with. shouldnt have been paid out, so since it was, when i got it back, i repaid the escrow.
  8. nevermind...found my answer. lol.
  9. some of you may have seen my previous thread about doing the complaint of valuation on my home...im going through and doing my taxes, and its asking for property taxes paid...per my banks records, they paid $2980.xx now heres where i have a couple things come up #1 - there was something my title company didnt catch...basically the city had to keep up the house, charged $402 or so. my bank ended up paying it, but the title company cut me a refund check. #2 - from doing the complaint of valuation, i got a check back from the auditors office for i think $847. so would i use the $2980.xx amount, or should i enter it for the $2980-1249 so ~$1730ish that is in reality what i actually paid after i got those refunds back? edit - meant to add, i did call the auditors office and asked if i should be expecting a 1099 as a "government payment" and the guy told me that the refund isnt reportable and i wouldnt get a 1099 TIA
  10. $100 for a case!? el oh el. if i could get 1/2 that for cases, id make weekly trips to my buddys place in PA just to load up on beer and bring it back to sell
  11. olive pit. those things fucking hurt when you bite into them. pisses me off when i get one.
  12. eh...id say if he had to have repairs done to his teeth and did infact have serious damage, he has a right to some $$...whether it adds up to $150k is a different question.

  14. i still dont know why people say that cars are bad in the snow. with correct tires, just about any car will be fine. and as we all know, i doubt derek will have ANY issues with getting perfect tires.
  15. my phone has an 8mp (IIRC) camera, but i dont think it takes nearly as good pics as my camera unless its daylight out...if its low light or target isnt completely still, it sucks.`

speaking of paul, i think i saw him out on morse rd today heading away from easton to the freeway...i guess it could have been another neon with dark tint though..
  17. taco bell is one of those places i go to on the rare occasion, look at the menu, say to myself "this sounds good now, but i know im gonna ask myself why the fuck did i eat this" as soon as im done...and like clock work, every time i finish, i look at the wrapper and say "that was gross"...lol
  18. lol...mine went down $2300 (would have only been (~1600 but i made a double payment one month) and i had $4300 in interest...this is a house that cost me <$80k and the loan is at 5.000%
  19. Shit tim, let me know if you go...id be down...esp for some dodgeball
  20. 614.353.2975...call and ask for andy, or leave him a message...tell him evan sent you...he helped me remodel my whole kitchen, drywall included...he knows what hes doing
  21. and if i still dont have a "current employer"? lol. will that just sit there until i do something with it, or if it sits too long will something happen to it?
  22. I guess my old job had a 401k/retirement plan set up for me...I never even knew about it until about ~1 year ago when I got a statement saying there was like $800 in it...lost my job in october, and just got another statement showing there's about $935... I know its not much, but I have no clue what I need to do with this, how much time I have to do something, or if I need to do anything at all. I don't really need the cash, so I dont see any point of cashing it out. I'm not opposed to investing it in something, and if I lost it all, I wouldnt really be too sad because a) its not a lot and b) none of it is money I've put in, just $ my employer did. I would prefer to do something with it to where I can access it later if I wanted to...would my only option to do this be something like cashing it out and then research/buy some stocks on my own? I've got an account with sharebuilder that I could do this with any help is appreciated...I dont have a clue about this stuff
  23. And let me just point out that the first reply to this thread was me asking for the audio clip, and this clusterfuck has ballooned to 7+ pages, and still nothing
