  2. glad i didnt immediatley think it was her, or someone who looked EXACTLY like her and whats funny, is, don't you guys think thats somewhat how her character is on the office? not spot on, but somewhat...
  3. WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR OF ENACTMENT *Insurance companies will be barred from dropping people from coverage when they get sick. Lifetime coverage limits will be eliminated and annual limits are to be restricted. *Insurers will be barred from excluding children for coverage because of pre-existing conditions. *Young adults will be able to stay on their parents' health plans until the age of 26. Many health plans currently drop dependents from coverage when they turn 19 or finish college. *Uninsured adults with a pre-existing conditions will be able to obtain health coverage through a new program that will expire once new insurance exchanges begin operating in 2014. *A temporary reinsurance program is created to help companies maintain health coverage for early retirees between the ages of 55 and 64. This also expires in 2014. *Medicare drug beneficiaries who fall into the "doughnut hole" coverage gap will get a $250 rebate. The bill eventually closes that gap which currently begins after $2,700 is spent on drugs. Coverage starts again after $6,154 is spent. *A tax credit becomes available for some small businesses to help provide coverage for workers. *A 10 percent tax on indoor tanning services that use ultraviolet lamps goes into effect on July 1. WHAT HAPPENS IN 2011 *Medicare provides 10 percent bonus payments to primary care physicians and general surgeons. *Medicare beneficiaries will be able to get a free annual wellness visit and personalized prevention plan service. New health plans will be required to cover preventive services with little or no cost to patients. *A new program under the Medicaid plan for the poor goes into effect in October that allows states to offer home and community based care for the disabled that might otherwise require institutional care. *Payments to insurers offering Medicare Advantage services are frozen at 2010 levels. These payments are to be gradually reduced to bring them more in line with traditional Medicare. *Employers are required to disclose the value of health benefits on employees' W-2 tax forms. *An annual fee is imposed on pharmaceutical companies according to market share. The fee does not apply to companies with sales of $5 million or less. WHAT HAPPENS IN 2012 *Physician payment reforms are implemented in Medicare to enhance primary care services and encourage doctors to form "accountable care organizations" to improve quality and efficiency of care. *An incentive program is established in Medicare for acute care hospitals to improve quality outcomes. *The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, which oversees the government programs, begin tracking hospital readmission rates and puts in place financial incentives to reduce preventable readmissions. WHAT HAPPENS IN 2013 *A national pilot program is established for Medicare on payment bundling to encourage doctors, hospitals and other care providers to better coordinate patient care. *The threshold for claiming medical expenses on itemized tax returns is raised to 10 percent from 7.5 percent of income. The threshold remains at 7.5 percent for the elderly through 2016. *The Medicare payroll tax is raised to 2.35 percent from 1.45 percent for individuals earning more than $200,000 and married couples with incomes over $250,000. The tax is imposed on some investment income for that income group. *A 2.9 percent excise tax in imposed on the sale of medical devices. Anything generally purchased at the retail level by the public is excluded from the tax. WHAT HAPPENS IN 2014 *State health insurance exchanges for small businesses and individuals open. *Most people will be required to obtain health insurance coverage or pay a fine if they don't. Healthcare tax credits become available to help people with incomes up to 400 percent of poverty purchase coverage on the exchange. *Health plans no longer can exclude people from coverage due to pre-existing conditions. Employers with 50 or more workers who do not offer coverage face a fine of $2,000 for each employee if any worker receives subsidized insurance on the exchange. The first 30 employees aren't counted for the fine. *Health insurance companies begin paying a fee based on their market share. WHAT HAPPENS IN 2015 *Medicare creates a physician payment program aimed at rewarding quality of care rather than volume of services. WHAT HAPPENS IN 2018 *An excise tax on high cost employer-provided plans is imposed. The first $27,500 of a family plan and $10,200 for individual coverage is exempt from the tax. Higher levels are set for plans covering retirees and people in high risk professions
  4. the different approach is to kill the bill and "start over". duh. if they wanted to do something, they would have done it during the 8 years of the last presidency. they're perfectly content with the status quo
  5. agreed. i know im out for a while. my garage needs cleaned out and i need to get rid of some junk
  6. yeah. i figured if/when i do it, i'll park my car at the end of where i want to go, and put my car top carrier on my g/f or someone elses car and go to the start. its a universal top and i think i can easily fit it in the kayak to carry it with me
  7. ive canoed hocking via one of the canoe places down there. i mentioned hoover for the fact its <3 miles from my house. once i get the feel for the kayak (only been out on a couple for very short amounts of time), i want to go do big walnut from about morse/stygler down to main/270. stopped by last night and found a spot i should be able to stop and unload, but there are 5-6 rock steps down to the creek that might be a bit of a PITA to get out of the creek. i heard the kokosing river is nice too...someone online even mentioned riding bikes up the trail then kayaking back down to where you started the ride. sounded like a good time
  8. its a good thought...im really going to try to focus on getting out more this summer and being active, instead of sitting around all the time. did 22mi on my bike yesterday, bought a kayak friday so i can get out on hoover and do some paddling, a hike sounds great too.
  9. give me a little more notice and i'd be down like a motherfucker. unfortunately, i just woke up, and ive got some spring cleaning to do. if its on a weekend and you can give me a couple days notice, i'd even be down for like a 10mi hike.
  10. i heard some of those bikes guys like him ride are easily $15-20 g's.
  11. if you end up getting one chad, let me know. riding solo isnt horrible, but its nice to have a couple people http://columbus.craigslist.org/bik/1645423714.html http://columbus.craigslist.org/bik/1643934308.html http://columbus.craigslist.org/bik/1642055977.html just depends what size you need. you can find something cheap if you're not going to get too serious...but when i hit the trek store last year, the cheapest thing i saw was like $800, and they went up to $5000-6000
  12. i just wore some ohio state basketball type shorts, a long sleeve white myrtle beach t-shirt, and some tennis shoes. im no where near hardcore enough of a cyclist to wear lycra. a guy on another forum im on though is, and he said if you're not down for lycra, you can get mountain biking shorts which is that stuff underneath, but has a loose outer shell, so you dont have the spandex look. nothing fancy though. hit craigslist for a bike. you can find good deals there

  14. its a 2002 (i believe) jamis ventura. i picked it up off a guy in wooster last year for like $325 and with new pedals (he had clipless pedals), and all the other stuff i mentioned, ive spent maybe $200 on it. part of that was a pump for the garage, a portable one, carry bag, extra tube, tire changing tools, all the stuff i should have gotten last year and didnt
  15. i found a similar thread from a while back but it was locked up anyone here? spent the last couple weeks getting stuff done to my bike for this summer. got my brake cables switched around (were backwards from previous owner), new handle bar tape, new tubes/tires, etc. got out today and did 22 miles. started at my place by easton, took the alum creek trail to shrock, over to the bike shop at state/schrock, back down to trail, up cooper, down cleveland to sharon woods, did the long trail in sharon woods, back up cleveland to main st, over to alum creek and back down the trail was a nice day out, shit load of bugs stuck to me off the trail. all in all took 1h 33m. me and the guy i work out with are talking about going out to mt vernon and doing the kokosing trail later this summer after we get some more seat time. 14 miles each way...supposed to be a nice trail out there in the country, and sounds like its fairly easy since its built on RR tracks, its doubtful theres many big inclines.
  16. i got a guy i work with who used to work at discover and his wife is still there...i guess they have some good returns and then bonus periods where you can get double and triple rewards on certain things. the only thing i would be weary of is that some places may not take discover/amex like they do visa/mastercard. i know at my work doing collections, we can only take visa or mastercard for payments, no disc/amex...and we do financing for like over 100+ different stores (VS, express, crate and barrel, lane bryant, etc etc etc)
  17. i live at morse/sunbury, right behind evan's automotive. if you want to stop over, PM me and i'll send you my address.
  18. on like a door? i got some stuff from a buddy of mine who details high end cars (ferraris, bentleys, porsche, audi, landrover, etc) i think the brand is "car brite" and its just an adhesive label remover. the can i have is probably 5 years old and i just used some last week to remove the double sided sticky tape i used to seal up my house windows for the winter and it came right off if you have a microfiber cloth and you want to stop by and try it, ive still got about 1/2 can left
  19. depends what you spend...i get $50 check every time i spend $5,000, but that takes me a while. i usually only use it for big purchases i plan to pay off immediately. i.e., i just bought kitchen cabinets for $2800, but paid it off 2 days later
  20. wow...just funny thinking of it coming from tiger woods being that up until a couple months ago he projected that "good boy" image. hahaha
  21. might want to re-word that as "$1.75 each if you buy all 140 DVDs"
  22. i didnt see any that cheap tonight. i went and picked up my kayak today and realized i wish i bought the wratcheting ones. i got 2 single straps w/ wratchet for 5.39 each (regular price marked 17.99) and a 2 pack of bigger ones with a rubber grip handle for 17.99
  23. lol. its cool. im just ready to do some fishing. when you get an open spot and know about a week or so in advance, let me know. luckily i make my own schedule at work so im down for just about whenever
