  1. i guess it can seem like a PITA for single people, but those with kids...i dont think i could count how many times i had to go to the doctor/ER/surgery as a kid. sucks, but you gotta have it.
  2. my g/f watches this shit...ALL THE TIME. i sat down the other day, she had it on. i paused it, said "if i can tell you what he says next, ive obviously seen this episode too many times, which means you have too, and im going to change the channel" called it damn near word for word, and off it went.
  3. same with me. i had to put in like 3400 (110% of estimates). 200 for a gas leak, 2000 for a/c, 250 for bathroom floor, and 425 for a few missing roof shingles the roof was fixed while we were unloading the truck moving in...cost = $397 bathroom floor cost me ~$60 in new tiles/grout, which would have been done anyways, a/c was $1999, and the gas leak i paid before we moved in so we had heat while working on it...i actually had the funds released early this month and i got back almost a grand out of it.
  4. damn. and i was thrilled to lock in at 5.000% in january. check though, because i know my lock was for 60 days
  5. well..for a year- 650 homeowners 1080 auto 1040 health/dental insurance ($40/E2W) so...about 2800/yr but, last year, i was in an accident, not at fault, but the other guys insurance wont pay for my medical until i sign a release and settle out. my insurance covered 5k of my medical (which his will reimburse eventually). god forbid my house were to burn down, or i had a serious medical issue come up, im sure both would clear that 2800 in a heart beat.

you shooting IDPA with the M&P 40c? hows that working out for you?
  7. i didnt even scroll down or watch the video and was thinking "this will be funny if its some guys wife opening the garage" LOL
  8. yeah, but the auditors/zillow dont matter for shit. its probably not recent, and the real bulk of the crash has been the last 2 years. for example, my house appraised for 115,300 in aug 07. hud sale started at 75k. because i bid 78k, (over by 3k), the bank ordered an appraisal. the appraisal HUD did 1/1/09 came in at 75k (hence the listing price), the appraiser that came in for the bank put it at 80k. figure thats a 30%+ drop in value hopefully it works out. i cant say i had MAJOR issues with my banker (nothing near what you're talking about). he's with 5/3 at maxtown/rt3. let me know if you want his info.

  12. i think if i got to go to ONE of the places a year you talk about going to every couple weeks, i would never leave. the furthest i get to travel from my job is to the chipotle on lunch .2 miles away.
  13. before i lost my ipod, i liked to listen to prodigy when i was doing my heaviest sets. probably all mental but it seemed a tad easier. other than that, i always kept it on shuffle. i need to buy a new ipod. not having one for 3 months = the suck
  14. lol. aren't you married? did you see chris hansen in the background?
  15. take a sponge with the scratchy green side, and a tiny dab of soap, and it will work better. thinner or mineral oil will get in there and take the paint off with ease. the soap/sponge will only take off what your scrubbing, and it shouldnt fit in the lettering. ive got pics around here somewhere of my M&P, another guys, and i did Putty's. maybe he'll chime in about how its holding up. mine ive had 0 problems, and its been about 1.5 years
  16. how much are we talking about? i may be interested, but by then, ill be on OT at work, so it'd have to be worth it
  17. ha. posted that on a hyundai forum im on. LOL
  18. i turned it on after going outside for 30 minutes. came home from a car meet to get my camera and decided it needed to be on. was nice though, because we went back to the meet from 1-4ish, came home to change to go back to work and it was nice and 71 in the house. fuck the 89 degrees it was outside today. i cant wait for winter to come back. i hate being hot/sticky/sweaty
  19. thats pretty much what happened to me, to a "T" luckily (i guess you could say that), i was supposed to close on a friday, and it got pushed to monday. then, because we didnt put in the original contract to HUD (is this a hud home you're buying?) that we wanted to finance into the loan a few escrow things (roof, a/c repair, small gas leak), they said i would need to have almost 3k more at closing, instead of the ~600 bucks they originally said i would need. i could have submitted an addendum, but that would have been at least another day, and i needed to get in and work on it the week before moving, and i only had my PTO scheduled for that time...i had the $$ so i spent it. only good thing was it kept my mortgage payments ~$18/mo lower since i didnt finance in another ~$3400
  20. hyundai elantra. can probably buy new for 11k. with my old one, i was getting ~34 highway, and ~28 city, and that was driving it hard ALL the time. i never had a problem with it that i didn't directly cause.
  21. if your ex posted pics like that of you, i would high five him. sorry.
