i'd be down for some BBQ action. i cant BBQ but i can make a pretty decent potato salad and i can buy a mean ass case of bud light. HA

i dont know when the good walleye fishing is. honestly, i havent been on erie in over 13 years...i used to fish with my grandpa when i was a kid, as they lived <2 miles from the lake, but after he died, i didnt have anyone to go fishing with, and my grandma sold his boat. i do however have a FishOhio pin/certificate from when i stayed a week with him when i was 7 or 8 for a 29.5" 7lb walleye. i want to get a couple more of those! and i would be down for a mon-fri trip if its that cheap. hell, i'd be down for 2 day trip and find a cheap motel or stay with my grandma depending where they launch from...she's ~30 min NE of cleveland... do they provide rods/reels/tackle/bait or do you bring your own? only charters ive done were deep sea in florida in 2001 and 2008. we need to get something organized. someone let me know when good walleye fishing season is and ill contact that charter and start taking deposits and shit. i want to do this for sure this year.

anyone down for a boat charter up on erie? ive tried to plan one for the last 3 summers, and everyone always flakes out, claiming $50-$75 a head is "too much". wtf!?

i havent been fishing in so long its not funny. whats worse is i had decent equipment but last time i was at my dads where all my shit is, i didnt see any of it. my aunt/uncle have a 1/2 acre pond out by mt vernon with HUGE bass in it, crappie, and bluegill and carp. the bass are always nice 14-18". i pulled one out was probably 4lbs. they put them all back though so they can fish it all year. its always fun

i was at my g/fs grandparents on easter and the neighbor came driving by w/ one of these (cane corso) in the front seat. she said the dog was only a year old and it was big as fuck. she got it to stop barking at my g/fs parents lab/mutt mix and i went to pet it and it about bit my hand off. luckily it was in the car and i have reflexes like a mongoose.

i wouldnt have caught anything. i dont have a damn clue about anything of the sort

ok. yeah, CF hood that was peeling/chipping, over 120k miles, bad wheels, hood pin broken, etc. i looked at it when i crashed my last car and they had it for 10,800, and after a year it was down to 7800 and still on the lot

...any one else cycle? id like to find someone to ride with periodically. is there any decent paths up near hoover? the path near my house runs from easton to polaris/cleveland, and IIRC, it runs down polaris to maxtown, and im not sure where after that. maybe if there was a way to go maxtown to sunbury and back down to morse, that'd be something i can shoot for for a couple months down the road when i get into this a little more and get my breathing/heart built up...lol

so today i drove 205 miles round trip to pick up a bike up near wooster. its a Jamis Ventura, like 6-7 years old...like $8-900 new, upgraded gear shifters, and tiagra/105 components. ended up stealing it for $325. went on a ride today, first time ive ridden a bike in about a year...holy shit, im still tired, and been home about an hour and a half. here's the path i took...hopefully i can do this soon with no issues, and i can start riding some longer distances. did the whole thing in a hair short of a full hour (about 58 minutes)...mainly flat roads, some slight hills, nothing overly major started at house (duh), road up to shrock, over to state, stopped at my brothers bank to deposit some money, then back down state, across dempsey (had the biggest hill, bridge going over freeway), then down sunbury, into the neighborhood to drop off my brothers ATM card, then back out the neighborhood, more down sunbury, back to morse and back to my house. whew http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/path.jpg?t=1241311953

someone on another forum said this would be something decent to get, and its <$400 shipped. http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/dawes/lt1000.htm opinions? i also hit up a couple used shops near campus and found one for $279 and another for $389, but they both had the wierd old paddle-ish shifters...one had it on the down tube, the other by the handlebars, which would have been a little easier. they were both 54cm though, and i think it was a hair too small for me, i think im gonna need a 58cm (5'11, 32" inseam)

i want to learn to speak greek. a guy i work with is greek and ive heard him speaking it and it sounds cool as fuck. id probably never use it but to BS with him, but it sounds fun

probably about $11/day assuming i drive 15 miles/day. my drive to work is 4.5 miles, and we usually take my g/fs car when we go anywhere else.
