  1. um...whoa? thats heavy.
  2. i tried when i was in PA. i found a steering wheel with airbag i knew i could sell for 175$ or so. i told him i'd give them 100$, said he had to check with boss, boss said he wasn't sure because "he paid so much for the car". i told him take it, or i go back to OH with my $100, and he said "see ya". i dont remember the price, but i dont think i lowballed him that much. maybe $25. not a bam614 offer for sure.
  3. my g/fs grandpa is one of the gunsmiths for vances (when their inhouse guys cant handle something)...i took him my M&P 9c and trijicons and he had them in in like 10 minutes. theres an allen screw on the top you need to take out. DONT take the sight completely off, because IIRC, there is a cap that is spring loaded under it, and if you take it off and it shoots off, you're probably going to lose it, and have more issues. its dovetailed in, so you may need to use a soft metal punch and a small hammer to move it left or right.
  4. Glenn home inspections is who i just used friday. not sure if they'll have anything tomorrow. i dont know if you'd consider it a "light" inspection though...they took about 3 hours and covered everything. was $300 i dont have the number now, but they're registered with the BBB. Gary is who i talked to, but Jack Cindia is the guy who did it. theres only 2 of them
  5. im sure you've mentioned it before, but what is it you do again, that you get to travel around the world what seems to be year round?
  6. yeah. while the price isnt horrible, its not great either. i bought one at vances for 299.99 brand new, and IIRC, it did have the $50 MIR.

    plumbers

anyone know a plumber? i need to find a licensed plumber to check a gas line for leaks...gas company came out, turned it on, and when the other guy came to de-winterize this house, he smelled gas and called the fire department...when they came, they turned off the gas, in turn screwing up my inspection and appraisers appointments... my guy at the bank said i'll need to find a plumber to come in and do an air pressure test to find any leaks. i need to figure out how much its going to cost me as well. hopefully someone can do it on the side/under the table
  8. not knocking the people that work there, but i would that anyone applying there is just looking to get *something* to get by, and i dont think even i would complain about $14+ and bonuses/benefits...IIRC, dont you get pretty much unlimited shit on a wireless plan for next to nothing? i thought i heard it was $5 a month...if so, if you have a $75 phone plan, and save another $70 bucks a months, thats just "extra money" to me
  9. i take zyrtec too...i took it as a kid, and then stopped...once i realized it became OTC, i started on it again
  10. do this (and trust me, because i had to rent when we went to florida in july and i was 23) go to travelocity or priceline, whichever william shatner does that lets you name a price check prices of car size/class you want. you wont be able to get a caddy or lexus or anything luxury, but you can get most other cars. when you go to put in your bid, it will say "if you are under 25, check this box, and understand there is a per day fee of XX dollars, so factor this into your bid". well, me being new at it, i think the per day was like 23$, and the extra fee for under 25 was $25 a day. i put in a bid coming out to $40/day, or around 280+tax for the week. now in retrospect, i should have checked the box, put in a bid of 3-4 bucks over the per day cost, and if they say no, go up another 2-3 bucks until they accept it. shit, you could even try to check the box and bid what the normal rate is. what happens is, once they accept it, they cant hit you for any more fees, except tax. so if you need it for 7 days, put in a bid for $25/day, thats $175, make sure you check box saying youre under 25, and they can only charge you the $175 + any sales tax and insurance you decide to get. you will need to give your CC info, they'll tell you about what the price will be, and submit your bid. they'll offer it to all the companies, and if one accepts your bid, it will charge your CC right then, and you'll get an email with all the confirmation stuff. if they dont, it'll tell you, then start over and up your bid a few bucks more

    workers comp

same kind of position my g/fs dad is in. he f'ed up his shoulder, and been out of work for 2 years now. last year, they sent him a letter saying they did layoffs and he was one of the ones included. his attorney called them, did/said some shit, and they sent him a letter a few days later basically taking back what they said in the first letter.
