  1. *knock on wood*.. ive only been driving for 5 years, so i have nothing on most of you guys, but i have gotten 2 when i was younger (35 in a school zone 20 when i was 16 y/o and 70 in a 55 when i was 18 y/o), but since then, i watch my speed for the most part...im not gonna say i dont speed, but for the most part, freeways/highways, MAX of about 75 (with my tires im actually doing about 72, so i feel safe) and anything under 50mph zones i do about 5-6 over. figure it this way...if i have a 150 mile drive to my grandmas in NE ohio, and i do 75mph, it will take me 2 hours...if i do 85, it will take me about 1:46 minutes...so i save 14 minutes and risk getting a ticket for 20 over, wreckless ops (which isnt 20 RO in ohio??). not to mention how much extra gas you're wasting to save yourself those 14 minutes
  2. lol..that would suck i would say, being that NO roads in ohio are 75mph, you would be doing AT LEAST 10mph over on any road, its not going to matter.
  3. highly doubtful...when i got in a bad wreck a couple years ago, the cop put "dry roads" on the ticket, even though it was raining, and the ticket had rain spots on the damn thing. people make errors, as did you. pay the ticket
  4. if its geeros, its right across from hooters at main and mcnaughten
  5. just around the corner from me...ill try to stop in this week
  6. well thats good hes doing better...that 6" scar will grow with him the rest of his life too...i had a small one from my apendix when i was a baby my mom says was like 2" long, and now, its a good 5"
  7. well did the wheels look like that??? lol. to me, that looks like a show car...if i had a 1300hp supra that ran at the track, it would not be that clean and show quality
  8. did anyone stay for the bloopers at the end? those were pretty good too
  9. LKQcorp.com if they have one...GREAT company to deal with, and if you find one, go to the blacklick location (by buckeye power sports...ill get you directions if you need it) and order it from there, and they will ship it to blacklick free i just got a complete engine for my 2003 elantra that had 26k miles on it for 371$ (350+tax and free shipping) they are the top online auto recyclers in the country (i believe)
  10. I saw it last week with my g/f... i thought as a movie, it wasn't too great, but the humor in it was extremely funny...the kids were great, the wife was hot "ricky booby" 'someone might as well get me a beer while im down here'
  11. DJ- where is your store located?? i have a motorola phone thru verizon that is slow as hell (like a computer...takes like 5-6 seconds to load a screen) and likes to freeze up on me...would like to see if its something with this phone or if its just mine...it gets on my nerves

  14. The Cayman love-fest continues..this time RUF gets in on the action... http://static.flickr.com/98/218383792_4fa06a864e_o.jpg //StudioTorino, the joint venture between designer Alfredo Stola and RUF has yielded another full-body recast, this time of the Porsche Cayman. Aside from being nearly completely reskinned by the studios' artistes, in the style of the Porsche 904 and Dino 246 GT, the closed-top RK also gets RUF's supercharged, 3.8-liter flat six (440 hp, 370 ft.-lbs). The result is a Cayman with Italian flair and an engine befitting the stock model's already spectacular geometry. All for four times the price.// http://static.flickr.com/75/218383726_9fc22ee4b2_o.jpg gotta have the "rear" shot... http://static.flickr.com/63/218383893_4cce6aafeb_o.jpg See them all at jalopnik.com http://www.studiotorino.com/en/auto/coupe/pagina_progetto.htm Fast cars, big money... http://www.studiotorino.com/immagini/auto/coupe/progetto/02.jpg //March 2006.Bahrain. 15. and just to add...i know my boss has been with this company about 10 years, makes a little over 50k/year base plus bonuses...he never went to college, just like most of the supervisors here...i know the president of the company at this location is making over 200k/year, but im sure he has plenty of post HS education
  16. im in the same boat...after HS i was delivering pizza (which doesnt sound great, but i was making like 15$/hr, and about 10 of it tax free:)) so i did that for a while...got sick of it, got a job doing collections, set work schedule, never changes, make a little under 10$/hr plus chance to bonus monthly (usually about 500-1000/month when i hit)...i wish i went to school, but at this point, with my bills, and having to work to keep things like my apartment, car, insurance, groceries, etc i cant stop working to go back to school
  17. i would put a bigger fuse in, but i dont want to run the risk of it not being able to blow and have something catch fire...i shot you a PM, hopefully ill be able to find out whats going on with that tool
  18. is there an easy way to do this?? yesterday, i went to work, drove home, went to my dads, came home about 7pm...9pm went to go to my moms, car wouldnt start...ECU fuse was blown...ok, switch it, try to start it again, it just keeps trying, but wont turn over...fuse blew again...its the right size...check the ground wire from my IM to my firewall (since i was working on the IM the other night), it was a bit loose...tightened the bolt down, put new fuse in, turned the key over, it started for about 1/2 second then died...fuse was blown again ive never had to deal with a short (especially since the car is 2.5 years old), so im not sure what i should be doing, how to do it, or what to look for. anyone?
  19. I dont know...im gonna have to go for the techart...i usually dont like big wings on cars, but that fits like a glove
  20. god damn work computers...guess ill see it at 5 when i get home...even though i havent posted in the threads much, ive been watching whats going on with it, and have been waiting for the results...hope its back soon...
  21. again, taken from another forum im on...thought this would be enjoyed here as well... This is a little old, having debuted July 16th, but it's still worth a look http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2006/07/ta_cayman_gt_sport_2.jpg //Underhood, the Cayman's 3.4L six gets the full once-over. Bored out to 99mm, it receives larger pistons, a new crankshaft, sports camshafts, and modified intake and exhaust systems. Accordingly, the engine management electronics are reprogrammed to handle all the changes. The net result: displacement grows to 3.8 liters, producing a healthy 385 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. Cars equipped with Porsche's PASM get TechArt's VarioPlus coil-over suspension, which allows ride-height lowering of up to 25mm and lets the driver select between Sport and Normal suspension modes via a cockpit-mounted control. Regardless of which one is selected, the dampers firm up automatically in sport driving conditions. Stylish five-spoke TechArt Formula lightweight wheels fitted with low-profile Continental ContiSportContact tires fill the wells nicely -- 19" in front and 20" in back.// http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2006/07/ta_cayman_gt_sport_3.jpg See the full Autoblog article and TechArt press release. http://www.techart.de/
