When i went to apply for my permit, i figured my passport photo i had to bring would be what would be on the permit. I had more than my buzz cut hair then, and had a hat on and an indians jersey...my photo has some nasty looking hair and a red line on my forehead from my hat. I'd take a morning picture over that. ill remember in april when i renew. Lol

Prob because a lot are out to make decent money off it, which is perfectly fine. This guy, at least at the time, was still the police chief, and he said he just used the $$ from doing ccw classes to take an annual bear hunting trip to canada. He wasnt looking to get rich. And i think we had like 12 or so in the class, which may have been close to the limit he set.

I saw a quote somewhere recently that said something along the lines of "not everyone can be the CEO, someone has to be the janitor". I feel like some people in this thread completely overlook this. Not everyone is going to go to school and be in a position making tons of money a year. You have to have people to do the grunt work.

my best friend watched me flip my dads BMW through the woods when i was 18/19 so 2003ish (he was behind me). i unbuckled my seatbelt, fell onto the ceiling of the car (it was upside down), and crawled out. in 07, he was driving like an ass like i was years before, didn't learn from me, wasn't wearing his seatbelt, and got ejected and split his head open and died. there's pics of his evo in here if you search back enough. it was in december 07, car was insane how bad it was. his gf in the car with her seatbelt on? a concussion and some tiny scratches. no stitches, no broken bones, etc.

My grandma stays in Nokomis over the winter, which is very close to sarasota/siesta key/venice. I went in feb and it was mid 30s here and freezing rain, and it was 75-80 there with sun every day. Low to mid 70s at night. It was fucking great. If you go to sarasota or nokomis, go to the beach about an hour before sunset and hang out for a drum circle. my mom told me and i thought it sounded lame, but it was the coolest things i did while i was there

i think some are watching online, which it does show the ascent speed at m/s. on discovery, its showing feet of elevation, time, and meters of elevation, but as "37.205" vs "37,205"

here's my other question...what happens to that capsule and balloon after he jumps? does it just sorta crash land somewhere, or do they have some parachute for it to safely land?

plus, they just put up Kittingers record as jumping from "31.333m". convert that to feet, and its 102,708 (or 102,800 that they state it as)
