  1. I picked up an XDM 9mm on here few months back, like it alot, my TRP Operator definatly has me spoiled though. I like the setup and ease of take down and is pretty comfy to hold and shoot and also the nice lockable case and all the extras you get with it as well. I used it for an IDPA shoot, shot ok but again my 1911 has spoiled me but all and all a very nice gun.
  2. I like my XDM in 9mm, 3 different grip sizes to adjust and 19 in the mag, plus you get a nice hard case fit to the gun, a holster, mag holder, mag loader and room for spare mags. Just get an S and W 500 and be done, short barrel prefered...
  3. http://www.strt.us In Brillant Ohio on the border of WV, Stolen 5.0 and I have been shooting there for a month, shot a steel plate match, IDPA and this past Saturday we shot an M4/pistol training. Give it some time and this place will rival Blackwater and is run by 2 really great guys and a 3rd I have yet to meet. Frank and Larry make it interesting and teach you a ton in their classes and competitions. They also shoot 3 gun comps but this months is canceled, one is scheduled for the end of next month.
  4. Ive laid lots of tiles, if you screw down your hardibacker and when you mud to lay your tile, I mud my joints heavy as I go and smooth it out, then back butter the tile and set it. Dont quite a few and talked to alot of installers about it. All I have talked to said enless your truly worried about give its not a necessary step. As for the saw, lowes carries some cheapies, around 50 bucks or so, they do a good job but its time consuming because they do not cut very quick but its easier to get the cut right. Lowes also will cut them for free, mark em on the back, only problem is the running, I would do all I can and map my cuts then while I was on the clock cut my own tile so i got paid twice for my work. next advice do not tile in front of your dishwashter if its up against your countertop, problem results if you have to pull it it wont slide cause it lips on your tile edge, seen it more than one time, grab your hammer and tissue to wipe the tears cause it usually sucks. Like somebody stated, check your feet on it, you may be able to swing adjusting them up or down.
  5. Part out is a possibility, due to my time contraints right now I am hoping to just sell outright and be done with it. Drewhop is first on my list for a part out if it goes that route, I still have to get this up on the grand prix forums, hopefully this weekend. Will keep you posted.
  6. It would need front bumper, pass side fender, hood needs replaced, has damage but would function well enough till it could be replaced and both headlight/turn signal capsules. Tires arent in the best shape but other than that and to have it inspected by the state to have it as a road worth salvage title car is really all you need. I have daily driven it for quite some time, got great gas milage and runs great, still got alot of power and other than the front valve cover having a small crack and needing replaced is really a good car I just dont feel like messing with it anymore.
  7. its OBO and when its yours you can sell it for whatever you want
  8. So the EVILGTP is dead, they ended up at a total loss for the car and gave me the oppurtunity to buy it back so heres the scoop on it. 217,000 k on odometer transmission replaced, has roughly 145,000 k on it, supercharger rebuilt a year ago, also has keyed nose/pulley setup with 3.4 pulley, the front bumper is destroyed from a deer collision and passenger side fender is also mashed, both off of car. Car is 98 Daytona 500 edition, still runs great, if the battery is juiced up it will fire right up, transmission shifts perfect, has shift kit set to full race. SLP loudmouth exhaust with Random tech 3 inch catless downpipe, thrasher cold air intake, DHP reprogrammed computer, new struts all the way around, less than 3000 miles on them. There is a ton im forgetting but ask any questions ya got, car will have to be trailered, it will drive up on a trailer but its registered as a totaled out car. Sorry its so dirty, not enough time in the day, interior is leather, driver seat is rough, pass and rear seats are nearly flawless, looks bad from pics, just needs cleaned up. Car is located in St. Clairsville Ohio Price $2000 obo http://s442.photobucket.com/albums/qq146/JamieBear666/
  9. I am interested if none of the other buyers will be interested, ill keep an eye on the thread, if its still up for grabs this week or early next I should have the cash together. Id have to drive it bout hour and half, should it be towed or will it limp it if need be. I can probobly come up with a turbo ecu also.
  10. If they offer me enough for a total loss I would mind so much not getting my shit but as we all know insurance is not notorious for being generous in pay off totals. Ill have to look into a private adjustor. I wouldnt mind getting into a 1g awd as a trade up, we will have to see.
  11. Car had full coverage, 100 dollar deductable, I may be able to track down a few recipts for the modifications. Ill have to dig through my old files to see what I got. The car drives pretty well, got a slight vibration from a wheel bearing going out. Down side is no headlights cause one was destroyed and the other stolen. Transmission was replace a while back but its been babies since it went in so I am sure its in all right shape, motor still fires right up on the turn of the key even though it has 215,000 miles. Just trying to figure out what to do.
  12. Hey guys, long story short, few weeks back I hit a deer in my GTP, pass side front bumper is in back seat, mashed whole front corner, hood, fender, headlights, bumper. Made insurance claim, still drove car for a week till I decided what to do, got a flat a week later, just took the tire off and left the car, fix it the next night, went back, somebody pried drivers door open, smashed dashboard, pryed open glove box to pop trunk, stole my floor jack and dewalt drill bit set and my one good working headlight from under the hood, on my god damn birthday to boot. Rough week I know, make another insurance claim, car was finally went over today by body shop, through the grape vine heard it was a total loss. Progressive called, didnt have a chance to talk, my question is I KBB the car, looks like between 2000 and 3500 current pricing. My problem is I have got a newer ported and pullied blower on the car, my reprogrammed computer, thrasher intake, exhaust, alot of stuff I would like to sell or at least hang on to. Question is where do I proceed now, never done this before so I am kinda in the dark on what to do. I would like to buy it back from the insurance and strip it and part it out but how does that work. Next I am preparing myself for a lowball offer from the insurance company, anything that can be done bout that? Any help would be great, feeling like I am gonna get the shaft on this whole deal. Thanks guys
  13. Hey guys. Been seacrching online. Found a few sites but cant really find the dane pup my gf is looking for. On the hunt for a black and white dane pup if possible 8 weeks or less. Just wondering if anybody had a comnnection. Doesent have to be registered or anything. Just a pup. Thanks guys
  14. I have searched the net but cant seem to find any solid definitive info on one. Looked into both Blackhawk and Safariland, from what I have read the Blackhawk leg drops will accomodate a rail but not a full rail. Just wondering if anyone has first hand knowledge of one. TIA
  15. Got an AT&T network Samsung Flight for sale, used for about 2 days, she upgraded to the Iphone 4 so I got this lying around. Got a few very minor scratches, nothing major at all, works perfect. $75.00 shipped to ya. thanks Jamie
  16. Agreed, love my Operator, I know that when I need to put lead on target it will do it to perfection, Fowler saw mine shoot steel dinger target at 100 yards with it. I will own other pistols but I will never not own my 1911/thread.
  17. http://www.fobusholster.com/catalog/Tactical_Holsters-56-1.html $50.00 shipped to ya for both holster and mag holder Ordered this setup from Fobus, used it 1 time, just dont like the setup, prefer a leg drop setup. Designed for any full frame 1911, will holster weapon, even with light attached. Adjustable to any angle and made to slide behind your waistband with the gun on the outside, also have a single mag holder by uncle mikes, black, made to hold the mag out the outside, holder slips on the inside of the waistband. Both are in new shape, hardly been used
  18. Went and shot today at the 2 gun, very interesting to say the least, alot of good shooters and some very difficult and challenging shots. My slug barrell/tactical shotgun did okay but some of the targets were heavy and if you didnt drill them the pattern was so loose it was somewhat ineffective. Basically and it was definatly a learning expierence, next time will be alot easier to get into the rythem. Start with the shotty, as many as shell hold unless otherwise stated and do work till shes dry then trans to the pistol to finish up. 1 station was come through door way, pick up loaded shotgun, fire at 2 plates and a steel bowling pin, except the 2 plates had clay throwers connected and you had to hit the birds as well, drop shotgun and move 15 feet to your right to your pistol, empty, action closed, with your mag next to it, inside a lidded box, open, load, rack and fire. Very challenging and a really good time, I started out poorly just trying to get the feel for the order, I shot second each time behind a guy just shooting carbine rifle so I was kinda flying blind. Some thought was required, as to which targets to use the shotgun and which were better suited for the pistol. A very good time, I will definatly be going again soon.
  19. Come up Sunday and Ill give ya a free lesson
  20. Went up tues and did a few runs through what they had, have to admit, pretty interesting setup. 9 bays to shoot in and lots of different style of knock down dinger targets. Spoke with the people running it and they said the 2 gun comp is pretty popular. Its Shotgun/pistol, requires 300 pistol rounds and between 75 to 100 shotgun rounds. They are shooting the comp on Sunday the 26th and I am pretty sure, baring any major issues I am gonna go check it out and see what I can do.
  21. Thanks Rob, I think a friend of mine and I are gonna head up monday and put a few rounds down range, at least with the pistols, I am taking the AR but not sure what I can get into with that and I am hoping to talk to a few people to get an idea of what goes on at the 2 guns comps. There is a shoot at the end of the month I may just enter and wing it and see how I do. thanks for the info though
  22. Hey guys, been searching online for some info, found a place in Zanesville that does 2 gun comps, Briar Rabbit. Used to go sporting clay shooting all the time and I guess they really upped the place in the last 5 years or so. Just wondering if anyone has ever entered one of these comps or at least seen it. I am wanting to enter and just trying to get an idea of what I would need and what kind of distance I would train on. There is some info on briar rabbits website as well as a video of some pistol comps. Thanks for any info...
  23. I had a older style progressive stage mecc loader for 12 gauge given to me about 6 years ago and even being well used, little bit of oil and some clean up and its flawless. I have reloaded thousands of rounds and have only had a problem with the crimp of the shell which just came from my lack of knowledge and switching between AA hulls and STS hulls. A little trial and error and I can crimp a round almost to factory spec. I have been impressed with mine since day 1 and I dont use it much anymore I could unpack it right now and start reloading. I would say you cant go wrong with Mecc.
