When you look at the actual numbers in this country, it is plain as day that guns are currently nothing more than a political argument. The United States has a violence issue. The so called "gun violence" problem is just deflecting from the major overarching issue of violence. Violence committed with firearms only accounts for around 8% of all violent crime committed in the U.S.

Ugh, morons coming out of the woodwork again. On the radio this morning "Well, AR in AR-15 stands for Assault Rifle" Uh, no, it doesn't.

Does anyone have experience with COPI Inspectors? The buyers of our house are using them. https://www.facebook.com/Central-Ohio-Property-Inspections-139579049717531/

Adam's rambling thread about lowering Student Loans, Taxes, ect.
LJ replied to iwashmycar's topic in Dumpster
You can run all the way through TurboTax and it will tell you. Typically the income based payments are based a foemula that is 10% or 15% of your disposable AGI. If she is on IBR it will only calculate her AGI for the payment. If she is on PAYE or REPAYE it uses the joint AGI either way. I dont see how your difference can be that small as you are already losing a $1200 childcare credit, and a $2500 interest deduction, as well as a smaller deduction for each income, and only 1 income claiming the child -

You get 0 childcare credit filing seperate. Oh and those student loans you are paying, no interest deduction -

You get fucked on credits and deductions you can take. You cant really itemize because you have to both either itemize or take standard. It may be worth it without kids. -

Nope. Extremely high overhead for a practice, xray machines, lab equipment, surgical lamps, etc. Very little pet insurance meaning most people pay out of pocket so margins aren't very high. Hitting low $100's is usually career tops for most General Practitioners. Orthopedic Surgeons can get up into the low $200's, but that would be like the surgeons at MedVet. The vets that most people see that make them think that vets make bank are the older ones who had little to no debt coming out of school and have made the stagnant $80-$100k for the last 20 years. -

It sucks. 8 years of school and $180k of debt to make $80k. And people wonder why veterinarians have a high suicide rate -

If she took out the loans before you were married and you didn't cosign, the federal ones are solely each individual's responsibility. -

My wife has $180k of student loan debt, does that make us experts? From what I understand, she can do any of the income based repayment plans and still qualify for PLSF. I recommend REPAYE, as the .gov eats half of any unpaid interest.... edit: I guess that them eating the interest doesn't matter as PLSF forgiveness isn't taxable income like the other ones are -
